Dirty store with bad customer service. Came in last week to purchase a suit and have tailored for my husband. The employee was sick and coughing. We did end up buying a suit. Came in today to pick up the suit and the same employee from last week was there again. He was to busy hanging out with his friends talking nonsense and using foul language. I went into this store looking for a suit for my sons confirmation. (My 17 year old son does not like shopping) I was immediately greeted by Rocket and he was friendly and engaging. He asked my son a couple questions on fit and asked my son to try on a jacket for fit and it was perfect! Rocket helped us color coordinate a shirt and tie and we paid and we were done! They also do alterations! From beginning to end it was an enjoyable experience and Rocket was so fun and easy to work with! The price for the quality cannot be beat. Hours are listed as opening at 10am. I stopped in just before 11:00 to pick up my suit. No one there but a sign saying back in 10 minutes. Waited for over 1/2 hr and nobody showed up. Called multiple times but never got an answer. Finally someone answered the phone just after noon. I complained about the sign and was told they always leave it there and cannot take the time and effort to remove it. Now have to make another trip. Really irritating! read more

I went to Men's District on a friend's suggestion. He has had incredible service at the El Cajon location. The suits they carry are really great for the price and they run deals that include buy 2 get 1 free or free accessories (shirt, socks, tie) with a suit purchase. This review isn't about the merchandise. It's about my experience. I live in north county so I wasn't able to make it down to El Cajon and I went to this location because everyone on Yelp raves about how amazing the service is here. Rocket fitted me for a suit and I ended up buying three for the price of two, plus $100 in tailoring charges ($18 to let out the waists and $15 to hem the legs on three pairs of pants). Rocket told me to come back in 2 days for the suit I needed right away and to come in the following week for the other 2 suits. When I came in to pick up my suits 9 days later, Rocket told me that they weren't ready because he didn't have the measurements (even though he had already tailored my first pair). He offered to do it on the spot if I had 10 minutes to spare. He exhaled a big vape cloud and put his pen away as I left the changing room. I don't know of many employers that allow their staff to vape in front of customers. He measured me (again) and then told me that I could come back in an hour or the next day. I reminded him that he originally told me 10 minutes. He apologized and told me to return in 30 minutes. I said "okay." As I was walking out, he asked if I would throw in a tip. I asked for clarification. He asked if I'd throw him a little extra cash because he was giving me 'express' tailoring. I reminded him that I purchased all three suits last week. He apologized again and told me to return in 20 minutes. I returned in 30 and the suits were ready. The suits look great though lol tl;dr - tailoring wasn't done when promised ($100 and 9 days later), salesperson asked for a tip to do a rush job on the spot and vaped in front of me read more

Just bought our son his suit for prom at Men's District in the Carlsbad Mall. Great prices, great quality and amazing customer service.

This seems to be a suit and tie store geared for young men. It tries to be hip and formal at the same time and at first seems a little weird but after a while it starts to grow on you. The people working there and are very nice and they do have some nice clothing so it is worth checking out. I'm young and usually dress casual. If I want more formal, I usually prefer men's stores or departments geared for more formal men but this store may become a new favorite. read more

This place is bomb. Omar was super cool with me and made sure that the suit I bought would fit correctly. For a high school student who is working a minimum wage job I really think he's got his head on straight he was super cool and can tell he was raised right. Rocket the sales manager helped my husband pick out 4 suits in the last two weeks along with a variety of shirts, ties and also arranged for the in store tailor to do some minor adjustments to the pants. I bought two suits and they adjusted the pants and jackets . After the adjustments the pants didn't fit and they had already taken my money. This was while I was in the store, they wouldn't refund my money because they had "altered" even though I paid for the alterations. I've bought suits elsewhere and this was by far the worst experience. It makes me cringe to see people in the mall buying from them. What rip off!! Run away from these guys... read more
