So I see the one star reviews, but in Bellingham, I consider the experience we had here to be 5 stars for this area. My son will be attending a formal wedding so we took him here and he was fitted . We brought pictures of what his sister (the bride ) wants her brother to look like. The wedding is in Europe, so the styles are somewhat different and definitely very different from what my son is used to in his everyday world here. When you first enter the store, you are asked to scan the code on the display in the front of the store and provide your name and information and you are then placed in a queue. I can see how this could be nice if You have other errands to do at the mall where this store is located knowing you will have to wait. Fortunately, today, we were only picking up the already purchased items and it didn't take long until we were called. We chatted with a very nice young man named, Gavin! If we need to go back, we would definitely request to work with him. Prices are what they are.. the only alternative would be to drive to Canada or a few hours south (no thanks). Lots of selection/styles and we were able To accomplish purchasing formal attire In the city of Bellingham. They also have rentals so It's nice we have this available up here! read more

Rude and unfriendly staff. If you are disabled and you use any type of assistive walking device I definitely would not recommend them, as they are very unfriendly towards those that are disabled! My husband and I went there to get him measured for dress clothes for a family members wedding, and when we finally did get someone to help us they were extremely rude and you could tell that they didn't want to help us, due to my husband being obviously disabled. They used to be really good, but they definitely aren't anymore! They also messed up on my dad's order for his suit and dress shirt multiple times, too; and all of my dad's clothes had to be ordered from their warehouse because they didn't have anything in stock for him to try on! My dad is 6'4" and all the other local stores have stuff to try on for him and it's in stock, but not Men's Warehouse! read more

We came here to get a nice dinner suit. We walked in and there were a few other customers and 2 employees. After about 15 minutes of trying different things on. We finally realized that we had to check in. No one said hello we are helping other customers, or hello please remember to checkin so we can help. Once we did check in, it took about another 15-20 minutes. The website said a representative was ready to help. We stood around looking for an employee. We had to go find one. When we did, we asked are "you looking for us?" She said yes with an attitude. We told her what we wanted. She picked one jacket and said " that looks good, anything else?" Totally useless and rude. If you are going to spend hundreds of dollars on a suit, I would think they could at least say hello, welcome and make sure the process is clear. read more

We went here to buy tuxedos for me and my adult son to attend a family wedding. We walked in and there was one other customer and three or four sales people in the store. No one even acknowledged that we entered the store. We walked around for 15 minutes looking at the suites, I even took one jacket from the rack and tried it on. But no one came to help us. I went into the store to purchase a selected item. The only reason I gave it three stars was because of the lack of staff in the store. When I asked the staff member commented that several people called in sick. There was only one lone person helping out an array of people. Three trips to get our rental suits right for my son's wedding. 300 miles of driving. My 11 year old's suit jacket the first time they had shortened the sleeve lengths up to his elbow. It was literally a short sleeve jacket besides being too small. Their response was "wow, he really grew". So, in the 3 weeks since he was measured apparently his arms grew about 8 inches. At this rate they will be touching the ground in a week. My pants were half way up my shin. The first pick up was on a Wednesday. Come back on Friday they say. Meanwhile, I have rehearsal dinner at my house Friday, running all over getting wedding stuff done. Friday comes, another 100 mile round trip.. I get there, my pants are fixed, but no new jacket for my son. Ring bearer and groomsman. I'm livid at this point as they tell me it should be there by 3. Rehearsal is at 5 an hour away, and I've got dinner for 36 guests to create. I take what's there and say I guess my son won't have his jacket, I'm disgusted at this point. They are supposed to be professionals. I could have measured closer with a ruler. I'm almost home and they call, "his jacket is here". So solution of how to get it to me, no apology, nothing. Their only response was wow, he grew alot. Apparently myself at 51 years old had a growth spurt too and my legs grew a few inches. For $600 to rent two suits for a day I literally had 4 trips invested by the time I dropped them off. No offer to help financially to offset time and fuel, no apology, and nobody that gave a damn. Had to rent a suit for a wedding, as my husband was a groomsman. They measured him incorrectly the first time, and it looked like he was swimming in his suit jacket that was too big and pants too long. They tried to say that he just needed a belt, but I refused and had them re-measure. They ordered two sizes down and when we returned for the second time, it was still too big. I felt they stopped assisting us as they knew I was correct, when I had measured him myself, given that I used to manage a suit store during my 20's. We went with the sizes I had measured him at, and they fit perfectly. They became snappy and rude. Between the three trips up to Bellingham and their poor service, we were uneasy that the suit would arrive on time, even though we had been there several weeks prior to get these ordered. read more

Boy where do I start? The first trip in I was helped by a fellow named Kay. Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service. I spent $800 on a suit but what followed was a disaster. When my suit came in I returned to get it tailored. When I walked in the store I saw a female employee sitting on a stool at the back of the store. Without getting up, she looked at me and said "can I help you". I'm thinking, yes how about getting off your butt and walking up to the front counter first! Though she tried to assist with measuring she clearly had no clue what she was doing. Thank god another employee realized she was bombing and stepped in. When I stepped in the dressing room to change there was a silver fish crawling across the carpet! Very dirty dressing rooms and incompetent employees. I expected to receive professional service from what I'd paid but next time I'll go to a department store Update: Called their corporate number today as instructed. Nobody ever returned my call from either their corporate offices or their Bellingham store. Apparently they're not too concerned about the silver fish crawling across the carpet in their dressing rooms. Yikes! read more

I rarely wear a suit, but I needed to wear one for a formal event. The Mens Wearhouse store in Bellingham has received some negative reviews on Yelp because of their rude or unfriendly associates, but I decided to give them a try. For one thing, there aren't many places in Bellingham where we can buy suits. Also, there are department stores in town, but I was not sure how much they knew about suits. So, I decided to go in to Mens Wearhouse. I was helped by Mike, a manager. Because of the negative reviews I had read, I was dreading, but it turned out to be a pretty painless experience. He was not rude; he was actually friendly enough and also was helpful picking out what I needed. I found a suit I really liked, which I didn't expect. I thought I would end up buying a suit that I would like just ok and spending more than I would have wanted. I did end up spending more than I thought I would, but Mike found me a suit I really like. So, I give them 4 stars for that. I do not give them 5 stars because their service is just ok. It's not like shopping at a Nordstrom (at all). With that said, if you'd like good deals on designer suits and if you are ok with just ok service, Mens Wearhouse could be a good option. I went to the Bellingham Men's Warehouse last week, looking for a suit for my upcoming wedding. We were cheerfully greeted by Tyler, who ended up spending a solid hour with us. Tyler gets a solid 5 star review! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He had some great suggestions and we ended up finding a suit we were very happy with. Tyler not only knew the store and inventory, he knew what fabrics, styles and sizes were best for any given scenario. Not pushy or salesy at all, just friendly and helpful. My boyfriend's mom wanted him to get a suit (rightly so). Where does one go for a first suit? Well our first stop was Men's Wearhouse. As soon as we walked in the door a sales clerk named Mary-Elizabeth asked if we needed any help. We told her our need and she pulled a jacket out and asked my boyfriend to try it on. It fit like a glove. She recommended a pair of matching pants (also fit perfectly). We ended up buying that first suit and a shirt/tie combo to go with it. It was such an easy process and Mary-Elizabeth really knew what she was talking about - giving good advice the entire time that we were there. Overall: This was the best experience that I have had buying clothes (not too pushy, extremely helpful, and honest about what works). I would definitely recommend this store to anyone. read more

This is by far the worst men's wearhouse I've ever experienced. From the time I went in to buy a suit and the employees were just sitting around goofing off and I had to ask to be helped. Right up until I went in to pick up my suit 3 days later after 5 pm as instructed and they hadn't started alterations. This place has steadily gone downhill it's a terrible shame. Shop at Macys next store or go to Burlington but avoid this place like the plague. Good news is they won't last long at this rate. Ps. I had to give them at least one star to review. I wish we had more in town options for tux rentals. I was sorely disappointed with the mis information we received for my sons tux rental and there was a large TRY ON stamp on the back of the groomsmens rented shirt. That ruined some of our videos and pictures .He was only offered a 10$ compensation for that even though his rental was 200$. My sons jacket was the wrong size by a long shot even though we had several different fitting appointments. The person who helped us had him fitted with a jacket that wasn't even offered as a kids tux rental. We did get compensated for the price of his jacket, but the hassle, the mistakes, the employees not having the correct information for us. It was all just a stress for me as the bride. Seems to be here for ages, I remember back in my university days, when I would think that $300 for a suit was outrageous lol. While shopping in Bellingham we decided to look at ties for our wedding. We walked in and the Salesman was rude and very short with us. Poor customer service. Glad it wasn't my first trip to a Men's Warehouse because this experience was terrible compared to previous experiences at different locations. My fiancé and I only lasted 5 minutes before walking out. Needless to say I will never return to this location again especially when there is a closer one in Burlington Wa.. Apparently if you are a lesbian couple who is getting married this is not the place to go to buy a tie. We bought my fiance's wedding dress at David's Bridal and they informed us that we would probably be able to find a tie to match it Men's Warehouse since they are in partnership with them ans carry the same colors (our experience at David's Bridal was beyond amazing by the way). When we walked in the 3 men behind the counter stared at us like a deer in headlights and looked uncomfortable. One actually turned and walked away. The one female behind the counter not only tried to talk me into a different color tie, but also acted put out that we would only be purchasing one. While trying to find a tie that would work we were met with disapproving stares from the other employees and the male employee chosen to help in the search was so obviously physically uncomfortable with helping us that it made us even more uncomfortable. Needless to say, even though we did find a tie that would work, we decided to make our purchase somewhere else. read more

Absolutely awful! I went to this store to purchase a suit. I really liked this three piece suit that a mannequin was wearing and wanted to purchase it but was hesitant because of the price. The sales person then made a deal with me where if I purchased that suit I could get any other suit in the store of equal or less value for $100. I then decided to purchase those two suits for $900 and was promised free alterations on the suits once they arrived next week. After a week I drove back down(I live in Canada) to try the suits on. I tired them on but one of the suits didn't have a vest. When I asked about it they told me the vest would arrive next week. They took my measurements and marked the suits and just as I was about to leave I was told the cost was $180. I gave a confused look and told them I was told alterations were free. They replied simply by saying "no". There was a sign on the counter that said free alterations with purchase and I showed them the sign. They then called the manager to confirm with him. The manager then called the person who had originally helped me when I purchased the suits and asked him if he told us alterations were free. He replied with yes. The manager seemed to have a disappointed look on his face. I left without paying for the alterations. A week passed and I received a phone call saying both my suits were ready to be picked up. I drive back down and when I get there only one suits was completely ready, the vest still didn't arrive for the other suit. I asked where it was and was told this suit didn't come with a vest. Confused I showed the manager the mannequin which was wearing the suit I purchased. He then told me this suit couldn't be purchased . I told him I already purchased the suit. The manager then seemed to give me a look of hate as if I had been his life long enemy. After about a minute he told me I could rent the suit (that I had already purchased) for $200. I told him I already bought the suit and that I wanted my vest . He told me I couldn't buy the vest only rent it. If I wanted to buy the vest I would have to rent it for $60 and then pay and extra $80. My overall experience with this store was awful and I'd rather walk next door to Macys the next time I have to purchase a suit. I felt as if this store was trying to bleed me of as much money as they possibly could by offering me fake promises and deals. read more
