This is my receipt of my return date.

I don't usually leave reviews but this guy TERRELL is terrible. Terrell messed up the date of day I pick up my suit after asking and clarifying several times. They had my suit PICK-UP date 4 days AFTER my suit RETURN date. We got the pick up date cleared up 1 day before the event. Now Terrell is claiming that my suit was due back on 4/21/24 when it clearly states on the receipt return date is 4/24/24. Terrell is who has "helped" me the whole time is also claiming I owe him a extra $50 now for it being "late". Terrell threatened legal action for not returning suit "on time". Aside from all the date mix ups and this apparent extra money I "owe" terrell talks to his employees very unprofessionally and is very rude. Terrell called his employee out in front of the whole store in front of customers to tell him if he messes up again he is fired and gave attitude to everyone after the fact. After that Terrell acted very annoyed with me because they messed my dates up! How does that make sense. Overall would never recommend its more of worry than something helpful.

2019 Yelp 120 Challenge- #86 I'm not a huge fan of VIP Formal Wear. I would much rather use Men's Wearhouse because of their inventory and the speed of delivery. They also have a faster turn around time for things needed as well as multiple locations. We used Vip Formal Wear for a wedding that we were in and everything was done out of town. We were told that we would be texted or called once our order was ready, but it wasn't until the day of the wedding when we received any notification. By this time, we had spoken to a few employees daily and we were asking for updates. However, we still did not get a real answers. The employees were very kind and friendly however, they gave no real answers when they were needed. I would not recommend using them for your wedding because things will be deliver the day before and you wanly have enough time to make changes. It would then be up to you to go to their wearhouse to change your outfit.

First time renting a tux for my Sophomore in HS. They were busy with Broughton Queen of Hearts dance fast approaching. The staff was efficient, friendly, confident, patient and helpful. What more could you ask for? They also delivered what they promised, when they promised it. Definitely try everything on at pick-up. While ours was perfect, others had to have adjustments made. We also learned how to use cuff links and the finishing buttons. I will rent from them again. We also appreciated the discount given to BHS students. Our no frills option, including shoes was about $85. He looked fantastic on the pictures and felt confident enough to even dance!

So far, I cannot complain much. But…read more.. It's got a wide array of suits, shirts and so on, but there are definite imperfections. For instance, I needed a formal black tie suit and a casual jacket outfit for a gala in July. The employee Javi was personable and knowledgeable, helping me put together colors, textures, et. al. And yet, a place of this obvious capability did not have a black shirt in my size. I only wear 17.5 by 34. A black shirt. This was a shirt I promptly and effortlessly purchased at Brooks Brothers later on. But Jos couldn't handle it? A simple black shirt? And then, they had to order a white shirt for me because they didn't have one of those either. A simple white shirt? Seriously? That's embarrassing. I am presently waiting a couple weeks for all alterations (some of which they were late with) and that one shirt to come in. Overall, it was a fine experience, leaving me with a great ensemble, but when they show their shortcomings, those shortcomings do shine. A.

For a store that's supposed to specialize in professional clothing, the service was anything but professional. Definitely disappointing and not worth returning. The African American gentleman working there is a dick who just openly ignores you and pawns his work off onto other employees. Won't be returning

All three of the men who got tuxes for my wedding had one of the items that simply could not be worn due to inappropriate sizing. The groom's pants had a hole in them. There were issues with making a "group" for our order. Such as, not being offered to make a group at the first visit, and then all subsequent visits being talked down to because we didn't make a group. Which we would have loved to do, had we known. I reccomend if a problem like that arises in the future, don't make your customer, who had no idea that a "group" needed to be made, feel bad or let them in on how much of a hassle it is that you have to do a few extra clicks on the computer. When you run into an issue, and all the customer wants to do is make a purchase in your place of business, move along and stop being so whiny. The bad service would have been tolerable, if the orders had been appropriately fitted and not come in later than we were told. When the orders came in late, it made it difficult to try to reorder the pieces that were wrong. Which by the way, staff was also rude to us about. I've heard good things about other formal wear places. The father of the bride had a great experience at a local formal wear shop, he said "the man that helped me was so nice". When your nice, people will love to spend money at your business. The bride and groom however, feel robbed after the experience here.

Here sums up my before lees tailor catastrophe and how they saved my wedding dress…read more I bought my dress in February 2014 and it fit me perfectly. Low and behold I try it on 2 months before my wedding that is in October 2014 and I can't even get it zipped past my hips. Panic mode!! I did some research and figured out I could add a corset and have the seams let out but it would cost me at least 500 bucks at David's and all these work from home seamstress were booked up. My wedding planner recommended lees tailor at Crabtree mall where she had success with her other brides 'dress disasters. I brought my dress in, the ladies circled my dress while I'm wearing it for about 5 min and then said "we can fix this". Sounded too good to be true. All I had to do was go to Joanns fabrics down the street, match my dress to 2 yards of fabric and they added a corset. They also let out 2.5 inches from my waist and back side. After 3 fittings and tweaks here and there PLUS hemming the bottom to fit my very comfortable flat shoes my dress is saved!! And for less than 200 bucks. I can't thank them enough. They have so many bad reviews on here and I was only going by blind faith in my wedding planner but I am so glad I came here. These ladies were so kind and they work fast. Thank you!

I had asked them to make a number of alterations to the suits and jackets for a better fit. I also asked them to pull the stitching on the suit pockets so I could use them and fix a snag in one of the odd jackets. They said this would be no problem and agreed to do all the work. The odd jackets came out fine as far as I can tell. No obvious errors in the alterations on the odd jackets or suit jackets. However, when I came in to pick up the jackets, I saw they hadn't fixed the snag and failed to open up the suit pockets. It's common for new suits to have the pockets sewn shut. A seamstress can rip these open and make them functional--it's not a difficult task for someone who knows what they're doing and shouldn't take long. But, they simply didn't do it as promised. After pointing this out, Ann sent the suit jacket, vest, and snagged odd jacket to the back to have them worked on. The odd jacket came back fixed, and the suit jacket with functional pockets. But, the vest pockets hadn't been touched. So, I had to send it back again reiterating the work we agreed on. Ann asked me "are you sure the vest pockets are real? We don't want to open them up if they're not real." Yes Ann, they're real--any seamstress can tell just by eyeballing it. The only major problem with the alterations was the pants for one of my suits. They damaged the fabric on the waist of one of my suit pants when letting it out, then didn't want to accept responsibility for the damage, implying that it might have been that way when the pants were originally made. No, they weren't damaged when I brought them in. This was a MTM suit I had made back in 2016, and worn exactly twice since then (It's spent most of its life hanging up in my closet due to me getting a bit too fat in the mid-section and not being able to fit into the pants, and not having an occasion to wear it until now). It looks like they were accidentally damaged when pulling the stitch to do the alteration. Hey, it happens to even the best of tailors, but the way to handle this is to fess up, own it, and try to make it right--not pretend it didn't happen or minimize it. They also left a bunch of loose threads when they were done instead of cleaning everything up. That's just sloppy workmanship. The pants are still wearable, but I'm disappointed by the damage since this suit is a bit sentimental to me (it was my wedding suit). Ann tried to shrug it off as not being very noticeable. To me, this is unacceptable. A simple apology and offer to make it right would have gone a long way. Instead, the shop engaged in juvenile face-saving behavior, which is unprofessional. This, coupled with the fact that I had to remind them multiple times to do other finishing details we had agreed on made for a disappointing experience. The suits are still wearable, the odd jackets did ultimately get finished correctly and fit well. Damage aside, I didn't get the level of customer service I was expecting (especially given the number of garments I brought them), and they didn't offer any sort of compensation for the damage. Lesson learned, I guess. I hate writing reviews like this, but I also don't like being treated poorly by businesses who are doing a lot of work for me and cashing the check regardless of the outcome.
