Unfortunately a terrible experience today at the Men's Warehouse in Kenwood, Ohio. Like many, I have been on a year-long weight loss journey which has ultimately translated to buying new clothes near constantly. I visit this store roughly every 3-4 months and buy new dress shirts for work. I've never had an issue with the sales staff until today when I was told that I wasn't allowed to try on a shirt before I buy it. I asked why I wasn't allowed and I was advised that "it is a management thing that we aren't supposed to let people try on folded shirts". I asked to speak to management who confirmed this (in spite of having dressing rooms?) and was told, "would you want to buy a shirt that someone else has tried on?" The sales person was rude. I told him I wouldn't buy the shirt without first trying it on so as to save myself a trip back to the store if it didn't fit. He said, "it'll fit the same as the one you have on" which didn't make any sense as the one I was currently wearing was two sizes larger. When management was present, he stated that he didn't say this. The sales person was a younger guy and he kept rolling his eyes and saying, "sure" while throwing in condescending remarks. It didn't make any sense as I really hadn't done anything other than ask to try on a shirt. After speaking to management in front of the sales person, it was deemed that management "would do it for ME" but that isn't standard practice. Again, I have visited this store 4-5 times in the past year and have tried on shirts and typically purchase 4-5 at a time when I'm there. I did decline trying on the shirt after having been belittled and made to feel like I was inconveniencing everyone. As I am walking out of the store, the sales person shouts from across the store, "you just have the best day ever, sir!" so as to get the last jab I guess. Which I found to be especially unprofessional and fairly brazen as two of his managers were present. I take this as nothing will come of this review or calling corporate since he was unbothered to act this way in front of his management. I hope this doesn't come off as an ageism thing or whatever else it may sound like, but I'm profoundly disappointed in the service that I was given at Kenwood Men's Warehouse. I left feeling belittled, disrespected, and made to feel less-than. With their clothing being well over $60 per shirt, not being able to try something on before you buy is baffling. Save your hard earned money for someone else. Jos. A. Bank is just across the street, which I believe is the same parent company, but potentially better service. read more

I took my college athlete son to buy a suit for his first job interview out of college. When my husband and son went back to pick up the suit after alterations the sales person was really really rude. "What do you need?" She asked. No warmth, no smile, she barely stopped walking when she responded to my husband. She was not polite and certainly not professional. She acted like they were in her way and she was almost antagonistic. The suit is terrific but expensive...we spent almost $1000. Awful, awful, awful customer service. Was in the store for a full 10 minutes trying on suit jackets before ANYONE acknowledged my presence. And let me be clear, I tried on four different jackets and walked a good ten feet to the mirror to see how they looked. One salesperson was within six feet of me, saw what I was doing and failed to say anything. Another salesperson came to where I was, spoke to and acknowledged all of the other possible customers, looked right at me and said nothing. LOL!! I guess he didn't like the cut of my jib. That's okay, I didn't like the cat hair that I found on their jackets. Taking my business and my money to Nordstrom which is right across the street. When I said same to one of the salesperson his only sad reply was 'okay, have a nice day.' As a 51 year old athletic cut male, I'm old enough to remember when MW was a thriving, helpful business. They've really gone down and will never see my like again. As a wrap up, I found and purchased exactly what I was looking for at Jos. A. Bank in Hyde Park. They also provided a completely different customer experience. The young sales associate in question was helpful, patient and fast. Rented a suit for my brother's wedding. The entire wedding party of suits had to be adjusted from their incorrect measurements when they first placed the order. Everyone was in gray suits, paisley pattern vest, and tie for the wedding and they put me in a BLACK TUX, RED VEST & RED TIE with the stripe down the pants. I felt like a valet at my brother's wedding. Stay far away from this location. ****************************************************************** When I went and told them about it they didn't even look at the order before telling me that the wedding party confirmed everything and if I felt that it was wrong to talk to them...... This had to been the worst experience and customer service I have ever received. To start off 4 shirts were the wrong size. One pair of pants had a skid mark and then another groom had stains on his shirt. With me being the groom and not have a shirt that fit one was ordered for me. After not being able to reach anyone by phone on the day of my wedding I finally received a call the shirt was in. I called 6 times between 11am-1230pm. The mangers response to not answering the call is that they are busy. I walk in and no one is in the store. This brings me to my next point. Besides the suits being wrong the way your employees speak to people is unacceptable. Every time I am in this store there are upset customers. Lana is absolutely wonderful but everyone one else has an attitude and no willingness to help. I had one employee refuse to help because she couldn't find me in the system after I have been there multiple times! I had groomsmen go the the Eastgate and Florence location and had a great experience. This Kenwood location is poorly managed. You need to put Lana in charge. I highly recommend not going to this Kenwood location. This was all around an awful experince. The manger is a waste of time. Talk about no empathy or a care about anything. A nice young man walked me back to the shoe department and handed one to me, gratis. I was so impressed and he couldn't have been more helpful. Quite unimpressed with this location - Men's Wearhouse in general has a pretty low ceiling however this locale certainly leaves more to be desired I would try to avoid Pros: 1) Large selection 2) Accessories were reasonably priced (socks/tie clips etc) Cons: 1) Tuxedo rental prices are absurd and I did end up spending more than other groomsman who received the same suit which makes no sense to me 2) Majority of staff incredibly unhelpful especially the gentleman who was doing the final fitting on my tux - I felt like I was literally wasting his time and had insulted his whole family just by existing 3) Alteration prices are obscene can save a ton of money going to a tailor - ripnstitch is just down the road and will do alterations for a fraction of the price read more

I had booked an appointment here over a month ago at Bridalrama. I was very interested in renting or buying suits for my upcoming wedding. When we got to this location today, I didn't feel that our appointment was honored. Even though I told an employee that we had an appointment, we still had to wait on the list and while the wardrobe consultant we spoke to was very knowledgeable, he immediately told us "sorry-but I have two appointments coming". I went in on a semi-whim hoping to find some jeans. I found a perfect pair at a reasonable price. As I'm on the bigger side I was surprised to find a pair in JUST my size. I went back 2 weeks later for 2 more pairs, some shirts, and a sports coat. This is now my go to destination for nice clothing. I don't get a lot of tuxedos, a few for proms, a few for other weddings, but I would like to think that I am knowledgeable enough to know how a tuxedo is supposed to fit...it's just supposed to fit. Men's Wearhouse (in Kenwood at least) obviously has other opinions. I first went into Men's Wearhouse about 3 months ago, 3 months before the wedding date. When I walked in I wasn't greeted or helped or really even looked at. I had to make an effort myself to go and find someone to help me get fitted for a Tux. When I finally found someone, I was passed off 3-4 times to another employee, all of whom didn't seem to know what they were doing. I was finally fitted by a younger lady who seemed nice enough. As she was doing the fitting though I noticed she wasn't really being all that precise and was routinely saying "eh, that looks close enough" which is not what I wanted to hear but since I am too nice I let it go. I was able to pay either a $20 deposit or the full $140 (not the cheapest, especially for the service, as you'll read) for the tux which was nice to have the choice. The date of the wedding rolls around and I get an email saying that my tux was available to pick up at my convenience, which again was nice to have that reminder (not that I'd forget...). As I walk in to the storefront again, I am again not greeted and I am AGAIN forced to fetch out an employee which when I found one AGAIN passed me off to 3-4 other employees when finally the same girl who fitted me grabbed me and told me she would help me out. I went into the changing room to try on the tux and sure enough almost nothing fit on me. I came out and with my girlfriends second opinion we came to the consensus that the tux didn't fit at all. Apparently this was a trending experience with my brother's bachelor party as when I got to the wedding all the groomsmen complained of items not fitting and terrible customer service. The shirt I was given was a 17 neck, which was actually correct ( I have a big neck, don't make fun) but the problem came when I, and the other groomsmen, were informed that they didn't have fitted shirts available to them. This means that my 17 neck is getting an XXL shirt...I am 5'10 and weigh 175 pounds, I don't wear an XXL shirt. The employees solution "well, once you put on the vest, it will cover it up". Sure, except for the huge arms, baggy tail, and sleeves that I could fit three of my arms into. The pants, same problem. I have a bigger waist but am not the same height or weight as a typical 36 waist, the result was a parachute set of pants that barley touched my ankles Another trending problem with the groomsmen. Lastly, and certainly not least, three groomsmen were given the wrong color tuxedos. Two had the wrong color vest, and one had a completely wrong jacket. The guys that had the wrong vests were actually told they would have to pay the overnight shipping charge if they wanted it by the wedding day. When they said no, the store reluctantly complied. The person with the wrong jacket? Well, they just pulled one off of a mannequin that looked "close enough" to the ones we had. When my brother, the groom, called in they offered him a %10 coupon which he didn't want, he just wanted his groomsmen to have the correct attire for his wedding. They apologized but still didn't nothing spectacular to make up for their errors and negligent service. I know that tux fittings shouldn't be this difficult, especially for a wedding where they are there to make everything possible as easy as possible for the groom and wedding party. I just didn't see anything that made me think they really ever cared. If a customer has a concern and voices that concern to you, your response shouldn't be "well, the vest will cover it up" or "Tux's are supposed to be big" or "you'll have to pay for the overnight shipping if you want it by Saturday". I don't know if all other Men's Wearhouses are run this terribly but I have been told Tri-County is really good. Maybe they need to bring in some people from that location because the staff that is there now might possibly be the worst set of individuals I have ever seen try to work together. And this isn't just my opinion either...the manager that took my returns voiced it to me as well when he cursed multiple times in front of me and other customers about his staff (really?). Just another nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned for this Men's Wearhouse location. Sorry guys. read more

I've been here before, mostly for tux rental--especially since my own tuxedo shrunk. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.) I've also purchased a nice overcoat for the winter and semi-formal/formal events. I love it and I got it at a great price. In fact, if you catch the right sale event, the otherwise rather pricey items can be gotten at a relative steal. That's the good news. Unfortunately, the service can be spotty. Everyone is always friendly and helpful--when the get to you, but they seem to be perpetually "understaffed" and over patronized. I get it. Stuff happens. But when it happens this often, I think it's time to make changes. Hire more employees or create a better system for seeing customers. On my last visit, it was no different. We waited a good ten or 15 minutes just to see someone about a simple exchange. My first visit ended in a poorly altered tuxedo that I got too late to make changes before the night's event. Now, I have to admit that once we were helped, each time, everything went really smoothly. So, they do know how to treat a customer right. And that counts for a lot in my book. You've all seen the commercials. The ones with the older, bearded guy who's a bit on the creepy side and tells us guys how we're gonna end up liking the way we look. Never really seen a guy so excited about clothes. Of course, given how much they charge, I can see why. Located in Sycamore Plaza across the street from Kenwood Mall, Mens Warehouse is in a little strip-mall kind of building that is surprisingly bare. Johnny Rockets is on the other side, so there's that. Walking in you see all the well-dressed men and women circling the store eyeing the customers; like hungry sharks circling chum. They're polite and professional and all, but yeah, they're on you the moment you walk in trying to sell you as much as they can. Now you can get pretty much get whatever you need. Suits, shirts, ties, pants, shoes, socks, cuff links, even some small luggage. The employees aren't going to show you anything that's going to save you money, but rather they're going to push the most expensive options they have. So if you want to save money, you're going to have to do the hunting on your own. Even then, things are a bit pricey. Quality of clothes are okay. Although I must admit I'm not very pleased with the fact that I paid $100 for a pair of shoes that started falling apart after about three months. Sales people are polite enough, although they can be a little aggressive. I've bought two suits and a number of pants and shirts from this place. They're all holding up well enough. I really liked how we could get our measurements in any location across the country and have them sent into this location for preparation. Also the tuxes can be returned to any location as well. Walmart has better customer service than mens warehouse at kenwood Cincinnati location. From the floor workers to the manager who is so frazzled every single time we have been there. I regret booking my wedding with this company... and so does numerous other people I have spoken to once I told them about our multiple experiences at this location. This place is a joke. Forces us to placing orders then tells us the order is arrived only to find out they didnt even order THE VEST that goes with the suit we custom ordered. Today I went and got fitted for a tux for my brothers wedding. Per my brothers instructions, I arrived at the Men's Wear House located in the Plaza at Kenwood shopping center. Walking into the store, I wasn't greeted nor asked if I needed any help. Because this wasn't my first go-around, I knew where to go for the fitting process. I walked to the back of the store and an older gentleman provided me with a form to fill my contact information. After doing so he began to ask me questions regarding my fitting: height , weight , shoe size etc. He brought out a pair of 9.5 size shoe for me to try (which is usually my size) Being that they were dress shoes I figured they would be a tad too big so I suggested we try a size 9. The Men's Wear House employee then proceeds to tell me "you don't know what size shoe you wear". Thinking that he was joking I assured him that I in fact, do wear a size 9.5 but clearly needed a size 9 for dress shoes, as we both concluded that they were too big. While walking to the back to, hopefully grab the right size, he keeps repeating himself that I "clearly do not know what size shoes" I wore. Instead of bringing me new shoes as requested 3-4 times by now, he says "you know what , whatever then " with an attitude and then I see him write 9.5 down on the form. I then asked him what he wrote down as my shoe size and he says "whatever , I wrote whatever". This is not the treatment I expect when walking into a store to get fitted for a special occasion. Instead, I immediately walked out and drove 30 minutes to another Men's Wear House to which they gladly were able to assist me with my fitting. If you want to be treated with great customer service, then I would not recommend this store location. read more

It's been nearly 4 weeks since my wedding and I still can't believe the awful experience I had with Men's Wearhouse. My wedding was on June 16. We (my groom, 2 groomsmen and myself) went to the Men's Wearhouse location in the Kenwood Center in Cincinnati, Ohio in JANUARY to pick out suits for the wedding party. Thomas helped up pick out the suit, the shirt, the belt, the tie and the shoes. He also measured the 3 men that were there. Because the wedding was still 6 months away, he told us to call about a month before the wedding to actually order them. Fast forward to a couple of months later, another groomsman in Atlanta goes to his local Men's Wearhouse to order his suit. They couldn't find ANY record in the system of us having picked out suits. After calling the Cincinnati location to get the information, they still didn't have record of any of the accessories. So, my groom had to go back in and pick them out. Apparently, Thomas wanted everyone to come into his store so he'd receive credit for selling all of the suits. The whole reason we picked Men's Wearhouse is because we have groomsmen all over the country and we wanted them to get their suit where they live... which we made VERY clear to him in January ...and I guess he just never entered in the accessory information. That's fine things happen. A month before the wedding, my groom and his groomsmen go into the store to actually order the suits. They had to be remeasured because they lost Thomas's original measurements. They told us they'd be ready and tailored a week before the wedding and to just come pick them up them. The Monday before our wedding my groom and his two groomsmen go to Men's Wearhouse to pick up their suits. THEY WEREN'T EVEN ON THE RACK TO BE TAILORED. The tailor either wasn't there that day or had already left, and was off the next day, but they assured us they'd be done by Wednesday. Tuesday, I called the location and talked to someone very nice, but when I called back Wednesday morning to make sure they were going to be done that day, I spoke to a woman who was very short, snippy and rude to me. I WAS GETTING MARRIED IN 3 DAYS AND MY GROOM AND HALF HIS WEDDING PARTY DIDN'T HAVE A SUIT AND EVEN I MANAGED TO BE NICE! Thankfully the location did call me back later that day when the suits were done. It was the lady I spoke to on Tuesday and she was very nice and apologetic. When we did pick up our suits, my groom tried on his suit to make sure everything fit okay. After putting on the suit, it took 20+ minutes for someone to come back and help/check on us. Then, when we get home, we realize the location gave one of our groomsmen a completely incorrect size of the shirt!! This guy had to go back for the 4th time to Men's Wearhouse to fix their mistakes. To top this all off, my father and brother-in-law went to Men's Wearhouse in Parkersburg, WV to buy suits for my wedding. My father walked me down the aisle, but my brother-in-law was not in the wedding and he made that very clear. The location sold my father and brother-in-law the SAME EXACT SUITS AS MY WEDDING PARTY. Why would you do that?! Thankfully we were able to switch out the ties so they weren't dressed exactly like the wedding party! I am very disappointed by my whole experience with Men's Wearhouse. I understand things happen, but after screwing up one thing after another I cannot believe Thomas still has a job. He made my life 100x more stressful than it should have been for something that should be so simple! I would never recommend Men's Wearhouse, especially the Kenwood Location, to anyone. read more

As she had me try on a pair of pants, she had a shirt, suspenders, bowtie, and socks for me to look at! They all looked good! She helped coordinate the suspenders, bowtie, and killer socks! Then, the icing on the cake- shoes! I have a medical condition requiring braces in each shoe. She had a couple of size 14s to choose from and ended up getting EVERYTHING I needed for the wedding. I have bought 2 suits, leather jacket, shoes & other items at this location. I was told by the very friendly salesperson that I can bring my suit back anytime to have pressed for free. Then came time to use this service. I checked the website (yep still states this), called ahead (yes we do), and asked what time they closed (9pm). When I came in (over an hour before they closed), the salesperson was unfriendly from the beginning (Not even a friendly: "Hello, how can I help you"), told me it could not be done because there was only one person in the back that can do it (yes she admitted there is someone that can do it) and I had to come in earlier. I pleasantly told her I had an interview the next day and asked if there is anything that can be done. She told me no. Three times. I told her that I called and asked if they still offer this service & what time they closed and that the person who answered did not tell me I had to have this in by a certain time (note: I still don't think there is a time as this takes only a few minutes and I was here well before close and I couldn't find this on the website). She ended up having it pressed (I was not leaving until they did what they said) but still negatively remarked how she didn't have time for this. Long story short: Friendly when I was paying. Awful when you want to use their service that the salesperson was bragging about. For the money I have spent ... very disappointed. read more

I have to say I'm very disappointed in my recent experience with this store. On Tuesday, 3/22 I visited the store to get fitted for a suit. I found two that I greatly liked within my budget, and we had the suits pinned for alterations. I told the sales rep who fitted me I would be back in on Saturday the 26th to make the purchase. I had intended on buying two suits, a few shirts, and a tie - a reasonably substantial purchase, and certainly nothing for a sales rep to sneeze at. I entered the store today as discussed on Tuesday to meet with the same rep. He brushed me off several times, always saying he was too busy. I waited in the store for an hour without getting any help. Being a CRM, I definitely understand that it can be difficult to juggle multiple clients. However, no customer should have to wait an hour to not be helped. I needed the suit for an upcoming wedding. If reasonable accommodations can't be made for a customer trying to make a purchase, it is with sadness that I will not be shopping at this location again. read more

This place is so confusing. First the advertise all of these inexpensive prices on TV and then you get in the store and it is the opposite. Secondly, One time when I went in there a salesman greeted my cousin at the door trying to measure is neck and then was trying to hard to get him to buy 3 or 4 things when we only went in for one. We ended up leaving with nothing that day then we back a few weeks later and had to hunt for someone to help us. Tux rental: Be warned, if you aren't getting a vest or cummerbund, they sill don't give you enough button studs for the shirt... 6 button holes and only 4 studs look stupid. They also got my jacket size wrong the first time (despite measuring me) the pants have no belt loops, and the red pocket square was no where near the right shade of red to match the bow tie. I didn't even wear the tux to my event, what a waste of $120... Not going there again. read more

Terrible experience. My fiancé and I went in to set up our wedding wear for myself and my groomsmen. Went through the whole deal with two separate employees. Both of them were working with us while also working with two other groups, it was complete disarray. Once we finished the formalwear manager said we would receive an email with our group number and information to pass along to my groomsmen. The email never came, so I called to check on it after 10 days of waiting. The manager remembered us, but said she had been busy. She said she was going to find our paperwork and call me right back once it was all loaded into their computer system. Shockingly I never got a call back and have yet to receive an email, we're now three weeks removed from when I was in the store. Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. Buyer beware with this store. Rented tuxedo for sons prom. Staff unfriendly and did not mention when tux was due back. Took it back 1 day late due to being out of town . They charge $20 but so kind of them to knock it down to $5. If would have known wouldn't have rented since impossible to get it back next day. What a rip off seeing I already paid $260.00 read more

Worst customer service ever. Avoid at all costs! Went in to get a shirt and their people laughed at me when I told them what I needed, I'm on the bigger side of the scale but have never been treated so poorly.
