She pulled a dress for my mom based on other things we had talked about. We ended up walking out of there with a dress and an amazing dress. We were also helped by Susan, just words of encouragement, but she was awesome as well. We went to the queen's lace first, and it was horrible. Absolutely insanely bad, and all the dresses had to be taken off the rack and they were all out of season and wore down. I truly can't believe how much better this bridal studio was. We were even allowed to touch the dresses and look at them, whereas at the Queen's lace we weren't even allowed to look or touch them. And, our stylist there didn't care what we wanted. Whereas Chloe took such good care of us. She let us grab them and she pulled good ones too, she catered and took care of us so well. We will be back!!!

UPDATE 6/16/25 changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. Carrie…read moreherself called me and we discussed some of the issues below. I appreciate a business that follows up with their reviews personally. I am not here to ruin her business by any means. I think there was some miscommunication. Thank you for following up Carrie. I rarely write negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but my experience yesterday was deeply disappointing and not at all what I expected from a shop I once held in such high regard. About eight years ago, I visited this boutique with my mother to find her wedding dress. That day was magical -- we ended up purchasing her wedding gown, my prom dress, and my bridesmaid dress all in one visit. I've held onto that memory ever since and always knew I wanted to return here when it was my turn to be a bride. Fast forward to yesterday -- I was finally shopping for my own wedding dress. I came to the appointment prepared with photos of a specific style I loved from another boutique in Chicago, hoping to find something similar. I expected the consultant to take a look at the photos and guide me through the options they had in store. Instead, I was told to go sift through what felt like thousands of dresses in the showroom myself and pull anything I liked. I was completely caught off guard. It made me feel like I wasn't being taken seriously -- despite the fact that my family was ready and willing to spend upwards of $10,000 on a dress. At every other bridal boutique I've visited, the consultants were proactive and knowledgeable, pulling dresses that matched my vision and offering thoughtful suggestions. Here, it felt chaotic and impersonal. I was left wandering, unsure of which dresses were which -- whether I was looking at a ballgown or an A-line, I had no idea. I'm not an expert, and I was hoping for guidance, not guesswork. Another unsettling moment was when my mother-in-law and sister-in-law arrived and were asked to wash their hands -- something that neither I, my mom, nor my maid of honor were asked to do. That inconsistency was noticeable and left my mother-in-law feeling singled out and uncomfortable. I've been to high-end bridal salons in Chicago, with gowns priced at $20,000+, and none of them had this kind of policy, let alone enforced it so selectively. Throughout my appointment, the person assisting me was not attentive. Dresses were poorly clipped, and my maid of honor had to step in multiple times. The consultant often disappeared, leaving me waiting with no idea where she had gone or what we were supposed to be doing next. At one point, she even told my MOH that she "didn't know how to help me," which was shocking considering I was very clear about the style I wanted. It wasn't a difficult ask. While my mother did end up purchasing a mother-of-the-bride dress (which looked stunning on her), we were surprised at checkout to see that a tip -- starting at $100 -- was essentially required. There was no option to opt out, which felt inappropriate given the quality of service we received. We're always happy to tip for great service, but in this case, it felt forced and unearned. What saddens me the most is how far this shop has declined from what it once was. Reading some of the recent one-star reviews, I see similar experiences, and I was disappointed by the defensive or dismissive tone of the store's responses. As a business, it's important to take feedback with humility and use it as a chance to improve, not belittle your customers. I truly wish this had been a different experience. I had high hopes based on wonderful memories, but sadly, this visit left me disheartened and disappointed.

Also, if you're a smaller size, they are not likely to have much for you in general. If you want clean and basic, this is a great option! Unfortunately, I am the opposite and wanted something more unique. I like lace, beading, pearls, and glitter. She brought out of few cute options but they just didn't work for me. The value is there if you can find something you like though. Oh, I will say, I didn't like having to wait outside of the building until they were ready for me. It seemed unnecessary considering I was alone and I saw nobody else inside. (I was cold out there lol)

The business model sounds great, but what you see on Instagram does not match reality…read more The dresses were often looking dirty and worn. As other people have noted, you can't touch or look at any of the dresses so the experience depends on the stylist picking things out. I think this model is weird because the stylist clearly did not understand what I was communicating even though I had pictures and described what I wanted. The worker called me well in advance to ask me about my venue, style of dresses I like, etc. then, on the day I went for the dress, the stylist asked me the same questions again. What was the point of that ten minute call. I also told the lady and the person on the phone I want a certain style of dress. They kept on bringing out random dresses in styles I told them I did not like. After an hour of politely trying on dresses I didn't like, she said she didn't have any dresses in the style I like. If this is the case then I don't know why they didn't just say that and we both could have saved our time. There was not a lot of selection and it also took forever because she was looking for dresses as we met instead of preparing beforehand so there were long pauses. Maybe come here if you want to try on a variety of styles and are okay with long pauses between trying things on. After having to do alterations and dry cleaning the obviously worn dresses, I'm not sure you are saving money by buying a sample dress either. The dresses were not cheap.

There might be 40 dresses at most when looking through your sizes. The dresses were expensive and lots of them gave a "trashbag" look. The lady "Barbra" that helped us used the phrase "well now i'm waiting for ur opinion" in a snobby tone, because I had told her before what I had and hadn't liked. This was very upsetting and made everyone in our group feel very insecure. If you've made it this far... go to Carrie Karibo. We were also rushed through the appointment and were only able to try on 8 dresses during the appointment. We went over to carrie karribo and we tried on over 20 dresses.
