It's been a very long time since I've been 'suit and tie' shopping. But a buddy is getting married, I'm one of the groomsmen, and he wants us to wear something specific. That something was really easy to find at Men's Wearhouse. I walked in and immediately Kai asked if he could help. I showed him a single picture on my phone and he immediately said "Yes over here". Spent about 20 minutes helping me with sizes, looks, etc. He was fantastic. I had to have the pants legs shortened a bit so Kai arranged for their in-house tailor to do it that day, and I simply stopped by later that evening to pick them up. This was so easy. Great shopping experience! I needed an outfit for a same day event. I had an idea of what I was looking for, so when I mentioned it, I was led to a great selection and was able to put together a very nice fit. I did spend a little more than I had wanted, but that was not because of prices. It was because my salesperson, Anthony, is very good at his job. He was very helpful with our being pushy. The suit was very well priced as we bought the entire setup. It truly was a great time, learning more about the variety of ways to style and build. Preface: I only came in here to pick up a suit. Had I known someone was going to purchase a suit I would have recommended them to go elsewhere. I came in here thinking I was going to get me a cool garment bag. One of those zip up garment bags that stores/protects your clothes. I was just picking up a suit that was purchased and tailored at this location. $600 and you would expect the suit to come in one of those nice zip up bags. Nope. Picked up the suit and it was just wrapped in a plastic sheet. As I left I asked one of the salesmen (he may have been a manager or something) if they were out of those zip up bags. He tells me if they didn't give me one when I picked it up then we are all out. For a store that sells suits, I would think there would be plenty of garment bags available, especially since these suits are not cheap. Also to note, the salesman I asked was also working the register when I came in and guided me to the correct section to pick up the suit. After my encounter with him I just could not accept the fact that a suit store would not have a $2 garment bag. That's like going to an Italian restaurant and they don't have forks for you to eat your pasta with. So what did I do?? I asked another salesman, a younger fellow if I could have one of those garment bags. He enthusiastically said, "yes! Of course!" And pulled a bag out of the cabinets under the register. read more

Walked in on a Friday Evening with a plan. I was met with Dave, the store manager and showed him a photo of what I was looking for. He was quick in showing me great options and getting me into a room to try out. With a couple questions, he was able to figure out what size I needed and it was quick! Ms. Sue, the tailor, new exactly what I was asking for when it came to the alterations and executed to perfection...and in 1 day! Came in on Sunday to pick it up and a different Dave was taking care of me and was efficient and gave me a nice bag for my suit. I have to say, my husband and I had a HORRENDOUS experience when we came here during prom season...but this past weekend Manny made it up to us without even knowing! He greeted us when we walked into the store by introducing himself and shaking our hands and asking our names. Then he asked the nature of our trip and got us started. My husband needed two suits, one in less than a week. Manny helped him pick out a style of suit and then got him trying things on for size. He was able to order different pieces from other stores for sizes they didn't have in stock. He really took the time to make sure we knew what was going on and had a solid couple of outfits put together. He was definitely really busy being the MOD, but he made sure to communicate what he was doing and continued to check In with us. Get here early, ask for Manny! He helped us understand the deals they had going on, and we got a lot of stuff and did not spend nearly as much as we expected. I didn't know that they also complete their own alterations which were not super expensive to add on. Really great customer service overall! read more

We came in today to get a rental suit for prom next weekend. If John is available definitely try to snag him! He was extremely helpful while juggling my brother and another client. He asked for help from his peers and they turned him down and just continued to work with new customers coming in which was disappointing but it worked out for us because John is terrific. He was very informative and professional but still fun to work with. He truly went above and beyond, it convinced me I have to come back to get suits for my upcoming wedding. I selected suits for my wedding party in July for an October 2021 wedding. My selection was in part guided by Men's Wearhouse staff who told me the knew for sure that they had inventory in this suit and my wedding party would have no problem getting the suits in time. In actuality, half of my groomsmen could not get pants in the right size and were told to check back every couple of weeks. The only way we were able to get the pants we needed was through many days and hours on the phone with costumer service. We had to ship pants across the county multiple times as the first pair got lost. Be very careful with the information you get in store. Men's Wearhouse has probably not invested in their infrastructure or computer database since the 80s. What staff see on their computer is different than what is online, is different than the actual national inventory, and is also probably not accurate. The only saving grace is that customer service at 1-800-851-6744 will try to resolve issue. Also, clearly don't buy Men's Wearhouse stock as their reckoning is coming. read more

I walked into Men Warehouse yesterday evening in search of a pair of slacks. The ones that i purchased previously are now one waist size too small. I was greeted by a guy standing at the front of the store. He wasnt a sales person but he was a very nice guy. I wished he would have been the person to help me with everything but unfortunately he wasnt. The sales person came over and he pulled a few slacks and blazers. I figured if i could find a good deal I would just purchase a suit. I informed him that Ive only purchased 2 suits in my life (both from Mens Warehouse). I only came in for slacks though. I already have a blazer at home along with another full suit. I dont wear business attire at work. Everything is casual in my workplace. I settled on one suit and asked about the price. He quoted me $675 and i could get a second for $150. I informed him that I didnt need slacks that bad and i definitely dont need a suit that bad. This is where things took a turn. The sales person decided to pull up my previous order. Its been three years but he was able to find everything i purchased. Turn out I was able to buy 2 suits for $357 back then. He then dropped $300 off the price of the suit i was looking at one the spot. You mean to tell me that If I was willing to pay $675, he would of just taken my money. And Mens Warehouse is price gouging people who come into their stores? The fact that he almost cut the suit in half speaks volumes. But that isnt where it ends. I informed him that I still dont need a suit that bad. I literally wear a suit to funerals and maybe a job interview but i dont swap jobs often. He then tried to tell me that what I was getting was a steal when he just looked at my receipt from a few years ago (that was the real steal). He then asked me what my degree was in. I told him business with a specialization in HR. He then asked if we did events with meet a greets. I told him yes but we have a casual office. He then shrugged his shoulders and said well thats kind of odd but okay. I came here to guy a suit, i didnt ask you to give your opinion on my office envrionment. Im pretty happy that I dont have to buy suits because I dont have to deal with sales people like him. Going forward I will think twice before going into Men Warehouse for a suit. May be better of buying my own elsewhere and getting it tailored. read more

My fiancé and I had heard the radio commercials and therefore knew about the frequent sales of buy one sport coat or tuxedo and get one of equal or lesser value free, but our in-store experience with salesman Alex Pecas at the Columbia location was better than a dream. Alex picked out the perfect shoes, bow tie, and cuff links for our wedding; oversaw the measurements for the necessary alterations to my tuxedo and two other sport coats; and made sure we saved lots of money during the transaction. Update: Happily married, we recently found out that Alex no longer works there. We remain fans, but we will visit other locations to see if we find another clerk with which to establish a business rapport. read more

Came in with my roommate to get a few Calvin Klein suits and an overcoat. Early March is the end of the suit season, so the first dynamic was simply the amount of people in the store planning for weddings and the promotions on every item on the racks. We were helped by an initial salesman who struggled to show the difference between a 40R and a 38S. Fortunately, Greg picked up on the task and took a measurement to quicken the search. Picked out two suits and an overcoat. Fantastic experience. He also very concisely explained the link between Joseph A. Bank and Men's Warehouse. Will come again. Advise the location trains all salesman to take measurements as Greg and the other senior members did. Appreciated not having to wait in line for any services today. read more

Worst Experience Ever at the Columbia, MD location!!! My cousin and I went to go get him a prom tux/suite. Our sales rep Sean was the rudest and failed miserably when it came to customer service. The first tux jacket we selected they didn't have so I asked him is there any other stores that may sale the tux jacket in my cousin's size he told us their Virginia and Waldorf location. (By the way... that was a lie. When we went to the Annapolis location they had it.) My cousin selected another tux jacket, Sean rudely said they didn't have it. I asked Sean does he know any other locations that may have it. He clapped his hand and said NO. I asked can you please check in the system. He rolled his eyes and huff at me as he got the tux jacket as if I was irritating him. As he was at the register I told him don't worry about it. Sean said out loud "Thank GOD" with a smile on his face. They definitely lost our sale plus the 2 future sales in which my fiance and I have to attend 2 weddings this summer which he has to get fitted for 2 different colors of tux. read more

Mixed Results here. I have bought several items here, and the quality has been hit or miss. The "deals" are always frankly pretty annoying - $400 suit jackets are like "2 for 600, but 1 for 800"... which is pretty frustrating. I don't necessarily need 2 items - but you usually overpay significantly if you don't take the "deal" and get a single item. Most of the items I got here were fine, however the suit jackets are not really holding up well. My cheap JCPenny suits are worn 10x more, older, and look better than one suit after just wearing it twice. Service after the sale is just okay. I have had some alterations done here (maybe 6 items), but once it had to be re-done because there was an obvious mistake (shirt was so tight it couldn't be buttoned...). And now, they have a "dry clean required before tailoring" policy - which I fully understand. You probably have some people bringing in gross looking items or items with bugs occasionally. But to ask someone to dry clean a couple suits before tailoring, that have been worn once and are obviously clean, is a hassle, expense, and reduces the life of the garment needlessly. So from now on - I will consider elsewhere as a first choice for products, and check out a custom tailor for quality alterations and service. I have spent too much time and money in this place to receive consistently subpar experiences. Moving on. read more

Bad service here. I didn't know they changed their policy for alteration. I bought pants from there and paid to have altered now they have become little tight so needed adjustment. they wanted to charge me again to have altered. I was told by them the future alteration are no charge as long as it can be done. They don't also treat good by look of person I could feel it in their behavior and talk. This is the worst Men's Warehouse in existence, and is certainly in the running for worst retail store in the world, possibly universe. Now that I'm done with hyperbole let me elaborate. Mens Warehouse is one of those businesses where I think they'd quickly go out of business if they had any kind of competent competitors. Jos A Bank, or whatever odd spelling they use, is stuck in the 80s designing suits, while this crap heap has actually modernized with splashes of color and style. That's where their pros end though. Customer service is dreadful. Just because you are in a suit on a weekend and I'm in my casual attire doesn't give you the right to talk down to me. You work in retail, A-hole. Putting on a suit doesn't make you any fancier than a hot dog with gourmet mustard on it. The guy's name is George. Short, slightly overweight African-American fellow. That said, the girl working there was very sweet and quite a pleasure after talking to that fancy dingle-berry. Lastly, it's no secret that any Men's Warehouse greatly overcharges. We rented tuxes for my wedding and they were $220 a pop. I suppose we could have gone with something else, but the rest of the suits look like outfits a circus clown would scoff at and not be caught dead in. Really, you'd think they'd have some decent options. The vests and tie options were all garbage with tacky designs instead of flat colors. Seriously, that bad. We ended up buying our own ties. So final words, I recommend this place if you have some weird submissive kink (see the verbal abuse), you're loaded, and you hate yourself like I do now for using this dump heap. So this is your traditional Men's Wearhouse, lots of suits and ties and stuff. They are all pretty standard, but this place is really good a making you feel like you are the only customer. I went in to buy some shirts and ties the staff laid out about 21 shirt and tie combination, it was really easy to visualize what the shirt and tie would look like. Good selection of shirts, I wish they had more solid color shirts but otherwise it was a really good selection. I recommend this place to anyone in Howard County looking for more suits and stuff. They are a little pricey but good service and selection can make for that. read more

Worst, most unprofessional establishment around. These cretins will happily ruin your wedding. Have fun with that. The kids working at this store were too busy chatting with one another and carrying on to do a professional job, let alone a good one. First, when my brother in law was getting fitted for a tux, they told him he had a 32 inch waist when in fact he is a 29. When the pants came in, of course they didn't fit at all. They cinched it with a belt and it looks absurd - he looks like MC Hammer. When he complained and said that the fit was unacceptable the woman there simply said "It is what it is, I don't really care". I think they are trying to cover for the fact that they don't actually carry anything smaller than a 32. If they had simply admitted to that, we could have gotten something that fit him. read more

This is the tale of two reviews or at least it could've been. I did my research looking for a good deal on a tuxedo for my sons prom. When I went into the store and pick it out they told me I couldn't use the coupon that I had found online. Then they started tacking on fees like they were the Comcast and of tuxedo rentals. I was already mentally writing a scathing review as I left the store. So I called customer service and a fellow named Juan got back to me within a day or so and resolved my frustration. Then when we picked up the tux I realized there were some problems that will probably caused by my son and I. And through a series of extraordinary and professional customer service provided in the store everything worked out. I am grateful that this store had so many professional sales people and a manager so that we could have an enjoyable prom experience. I've never had a good experience at Men's Warehouse. In this instance, I rented a suit for a wedding party. First the Columbia location is trying contactless fitting. How do you properly fit someone without taking accurate measurements? Idk blows my mind when other locations actually fit their customers. So obviously, day before the wedding the dress shirt they were trying to give me did not fit, the jacket did not fit as well as it should have either but what can you do when it's 24 hours before a wedding. 2nd at no point was I ever told I had to return the suit the day after the out of state wedding. I returned the suit a few days after the wedding and yes I did expect to have a small fee to pay for it being a few days late. However, $85 late fee! Thats just absurd. This is the end for Men's warehouse for me forever. Do yourself a favor and just go to Jos A. Bank or any other competitor before this ripoff of a company. read more

Their service has been exceptionally unprofessional and caused an enormous amount of stress as a result. We purchased a custom made suit at Nordstrom's for the same price and 0% of the stress, PLEASE do not use Men's Wearhouse. UPDATE 05/21: This company is a sham and its salespeople are scam artists. Never has the salesperson I've interacted with, the only one who handles weddings, EVER tried to apologize or admit that the majority of this has been entirely his fault. So many other problems have come up at this point that I'm just trying to get through this process so I never have to interact with this company again. Let me preface this experience by saying not a single person in our bridal party or my grandfather, stepfather or myself ever received a phone call in over three months that any suits were ready to be picked up even though they apparently came in within two weeks of every person getting their measurements taken... Let's start at the beginning: My fiancé and I went into the Columbia, MD store to purchase his and his groomsmen's suits for the wedding (because you have to prepay up front if you want a group of suits). It took us almost THREE HOURS to get out of the store even though the suit, shirt, and shoes were already picked out (he was wearing it in another friend's wedding) and we were only there to pick out accessories. THREE HOURS for accessories because the salesman that was helping us literally attempted to help every customer that walked in the door. I don't know if it was a commission thing but it was incredibly unprofessional because we were left standing around for 20-30 minutes at a time while he helped others around us and all we needed was a vest (which matched the suit), a tie, and a pocket square. Then we went in to the Annapolis, MD store to purchase my grandfather's and stepfather's matching suits and to have my brother fitted for his groomsmen suit. They told us that they would send my stepfather's suit and accessories to the Columbia store and send my brother's suit to the Annapolis store. "No problem!" they said. They preceded to not order my stepfather's tie so that it was unavailable to order over a month later when he went in to pick up the suit and so he and my grandfather had to go pick out another one. My brother wanted to wear his suit to his prom but when he went in the weekend before to have it fitted in Annapolis, where it was supposed to be sent, he was informed that it was still in Columbia and that they would have to overnight it. Fast forward two days when he goes back in and, surprise surprise, it's still in Columbia. No explanation, the only saving grace was that they offered him a new suit for prom and took his measurements again in order to have it ready for him in time. When I went in to pick up my fiance's suit because he wanted it tailored by someone he trusts after all the problems we've had, they said that it was not assembled because they keep everything in the back in groups of the type of item (all the jackets, all the pants, all the vests, ect), not as one completed order, which is moronic to me. Again, apparently the only person who handles wedding suits is leaving early that day, won't be in the next day and so won't have it ready for two days. He mentioned offhandedly to me that they had had problems sending the suits up to New York for our friend's wedding (because they're all wearing the same suits) so that either part or all of the suits were missing for their groomsmen. Mind you, both of our weddings are now within 3-4 weeks and we were told to come in around this time because the suit is supposed to be as correctly fitted as possible before the wedding. This is a disgraceful business that has been nothing but a headache from the beginning. I promise you that Men's Wearhouse is not worth your time or money (like I said, we've bought from NORDSTROM'S for the same price with FREE alterations). Please heed this warning and take your business elsewhere. read more

I don't own a tie, but when my daughter asked if we could go to her daddy / daughter dance, I didn't want to embarrass her by being the only dad that wasn't in a suit, so I went here to get a suit to wear that one time. I went to this location three weeks before the dance so I could be sure it was fitted and ready in time. I told the sales associate that my budget for everything was between $200 - $300 since I only needed it for a one time wear. He started bringing out pants, jackets, ties, shoes and fitting me. I asked if this was going to be in my budget and he said don't worry about what the price tags said. The associate took about 15 minutes by the register, so I started putting things back, because I know it was a stall so I would be more time invested and pay a huge amount. In order to get in under budget, I settled on pants and a vest (which is a rip off for $300). When I went to pick the pants up two weeks later, I had to wait 40 minutes because they couldn't find the pants. During that time, I was just left there, so they would hope I would shop while I waited. When they did find them, they weren't hemmed, so I had to refit and wait another 10 minutes while they hemmed them (which should have been done when I bought them). Luckily, I tried on the pants, because the hem was above the ankle, so I had to have it fixed, but that added an even longer wait. After all of this, I would have expected them to knock a few dollars off, especially since they probably overcharged me by at least $100 for a pair of pants and a vest, but nothing. I took my pants and left, never to return again under any circumstances. If you need a suit, don't waste your time here. Go somewhere else, even if you have drive a few hours, since you will have to wait a few hours here anyways. read more
