On Friday night, my son decided to surprise me by telling me he needed a suit by Tuesday for a school presentation! WHAT! Totally unnecessary, but Winter Formal is next weekend, so I thought we should just get one. He's never owned a suit, and he's almost 16, so it's time. I was dreading every second of it, but when I walked into Men's Wearhouse, Lizzie came to the rescue. She was so quick, personable, and knowledgeable, that we just relaxed and let her do her magic. It was the best customer service I have had in a VERY long time. We were out of there in less than 30 minutes with a suit, shirt, and tie. And a big smile on both our faces. Lizzie is a gem! This review is for the Encinitas store and specifically one salesperson by the name of Garrett. I needed a suit for a wedding and was dreading the process and anticipating a pushy salesperson. I knew none of my sizes or appropriate style (skinny, slim etc) Garrett was knowledgeable and patient and spent a good half hour with me getting the sizes dialed in. He also suggested going to the Men's Wearhouse website if I wanted more selection, which I did and found the perfect suit that was not avail in the store. From the time of ordering, it was less than one week till delivery. Very happy with the purchase. read more

Our 17 year old son returned a rented tux today 5/11/2025 at 3:54pm. He was treated rudely and disrespectfully by the lady behind the front counter. Although he said "Hi, I'm returning my tux", she offered no return greeting or smile and gave a "come here" type motion with her hand. She rudely just said "where's the paper?" to which he replied that it's in the bag with the tux. When she was done processing it, she said "You can go." Super rude and very poor service. What business treats customers like this? Although we have come here many times over the years for many different things, we will not be returning again. read more

The woman helping us disappeared into the back while we decided between buying and renting and never came back. We came in recently looking for a suit and where assisted by a female manager who had a really intense vibe that made interacting with her a little uncomfortable. My husband is tall, 6'7" and they didn't have any extra long suit jackets in stock, she put him in a long jacket and insisted that the fit was correct (which was ridiculous), as soon as we told her we were just starting the suit shopping process and that we wouldn't be making a purchase today, she walked away. Used to love MW. I bought my first suit at the UTC store back in 1991and the service was awesome!! Was stoked to see the go business-casual and have always had a great experience across the country... Unfortunately my last 2 trips to the ENC store have been absolutely terrible: No help, less than no help, actually, I think the sales lady huffed when I asked for help .... I don't post negative reviews often, but when there are 2 sales people in the store and 1 customer how hard is it to say "can I help you" or let me see what sizes we have... I got scolded for trying to clarify if I could have a pair of pants altered. Actually scolded for trying to clarify if they could hem the pants or if I needed to take them to my tailor. Worse yet- " assistant manager". Was there and really did nothing to help. Even worse, another family went in there for a couple Xmas gifts and described same." assistant manager" I dealt with and that experience was exactly the same. Sad as I really liked the place. Note to corporate. If you guys want to try to stay in the retail business, you better do some customer service training. It was absolutely awful. Lost sales: 2 Dress shirts, 1 pair of slacks, 1 blazer, 1 sweater, and 2 casual shirts. read more

We waited 20 minutes nothing just ignored.. another customer after us came in and was helped maybe he had an appointment.. Anyhow we waited.. then another customer walked in and was warmly greeted seriously???? We walked out and will never be back to this location. My son and his dad went to this store a week and a half before my son's Confirmation to buy him a suit. They were not going to have the suit ready, after alterations, until the day of...the photo shows how bad the alterations turned out. My son is in the black suit on the left. They measured him, and that's how the sleeves turned out!!! Total waste of money, and I cannot get that day back. Horrible! Do not buy your suit here. And if you do, do not have it altered here. I went to Burlington Coat Factory years before for his 8th grade graduation suit, they did same day alterations, and they did a much better job than this! AND it was less expensive! read more

This particular store was extremely unprofessional. I was being helped initially, but then the woman who was helping me, because SHE recommended shoes with the full suit I was buying left me waiting an hour to help another customer and never did end up coming back to check up on me. Moreover when another associate came up to me (younger gentleman in a suit), they got the size shoes I requested, but then threw the shoes right next to me and left. When I tried them on I noticed the two leather shoes were two different shades, likely because one of them had been sun bleached from display. I tried to ask another associate I had to flag down if that was correct and they tried to sell me the shoes full price saying that it was only the lighting in the store which made no sense at all as the store was fully lit properly especially in front of the mirrors. Overall extremely unprofessional work being done here due to a lack in customer service quality. Would 100% not come back to this specific store as the darker tone, middle aged man who tried to convince me that the sun bleached leather shoes were simply due to my eyes playing tricks on me was even extremely rude at the end of purchase. I bought a full suit piece with intent for the accessories, but I cut them out at the end due to the rudeness. This store definitely needs to be trained up on quality customer service as it was a poor representation of the Men's Warehouse brand all around. read more

He was friendly, helpful, and was very knowledgeable about everything suit related. I couldn't imagine being helped by anyone else. He helped us find the perfect suit in our price range as well which was wonderful. We also needed to find my husband a suit in a week and we were so surprise David could make that possible with alterations to made, measured and ready in less than six days! We were expecting to be turned down since we were trying to find this suit so last minute. So happy my husband found the perfect navy blue suit with the perfect tie. Lizzie is by far the best customer service rep I have ever dealt with! I have used this location for years but recently used it to get tuxedos for my son and I for my wedding. The ordering and fitting process was as smooth as can be. 2 days before my wedding I went to pick up my tuxedo and to no one's fault but my own there was a pricing issue. I was very panicked. To say Lizzie went out of her way to work with me would be an understatement. She was so calm and attentive to the situation. She worked with me and we got it handled and plus she kept me calm with all the buzz from the wedding and me realizing a made a huge mistake on my order. The pant hem alteration was quick and easy and rush order to pick up the same day. I wish there was a women's warehouse because I want a power suit too! Jacob was amazing. We needed suit for winter formal but i also wanted something for college interviews. He laid out multiple shirts and ties so we could build 8 or more looks with two timeless suits and 4 shirts. My son listened to every word and got his first lesson on fashion and we left w suits that fit him perfectly which is hard to do because he has broad shoulders and smaller than most waist (28 inch) . We found everything we needed at one place without spending the whole day shopping at different stores. It wasn't cheap but definitely reasonable $250 a suit and to have shirts and ties that go together to create 8 looks was completely worth it to me. I got a custom suit here and over the course of almost two months, I came to this location three times. My first time took over three hours. Two hours of which I stood waiting as others were helped that came in after and left before me. The store was preparing for a high school dance and appeared stressed over the demand but neglected me in the mean time. I spent over 600 dollars and was told my suit would be ready in five weeks due to the Chinese New Year. I was told me purchase would allow me to obtain a 50 dollar credit for February. My suit was ready in about three weeks and I was called and set an appointment for noon. I walked in with my wife and son and stood there for about five minutes until someone asked me what I needed. I stated I have an appointment and it took another ten minutes for me to be helped. I put my suit on, was marked extremely quick and was told my suit would be ready in another two weeks. When I asked about my store credit they could not find the information on the database. I was told I could use the credit in March. I returned today to pick up my suit. They couldn't find my suit for about ten minutes. When They found it, it was covered in lint and little threads. I put it on and the press created a wrinkle on my thigh and felt uncomfortable. They fixed it but I asked where the rubber shirt keeper in the pants was and they looked at the paperwork and said it wasn't put in and that I could pay more money and wait another two weeks to get my suit. I denied and asked if I could use my 50 dollars credit, they said it still wasn't ready and I would have to return to the store again to use it. I am very disappointed with this location and will not return. I looked forward to my custom suit and feel as though I have been let down. The only employee to recognize my frustration was Cynthia when I was in the store today, on March 9th. Luckily, the store was almost empty and I was actually acknowledged. Now, my suit still won't be ready until I get it dry cleaned. Next time, I will go to Suit Supply. read more

I've shopped at a few Mens Warehouse stores from Maryland, Virginia, & California. I've only had one bad experience and that was because I asked for an absolute rush job. I stopped by this store today because my $50 reward was expiring today. I wanted a new pair of shoes so it just made sense. I was greeted by a Eder, he was very friendly and helped me get the exact pair I wanted. I walked in only knowing the color, he asked two questions and said, "I have what you want". I'll be damned if he wasn't right, soon as he pulled them out of the box I immediately agreed. He assisted me trying them on to make sure the fit was perfect. All sales people were busy and they were event short one person, so we later found out. I asked for help and Jeffrey Doll acknowledged us and said he was sorry and that he'd be right with us. I am not a fan of the Men's Wearhouse, my husband never really got good customer service at the location in La Jolla. So we didn't go back for a while, however, my son recently needed a tux rental for Prom, so I went to the store next to Cava. I believe the name of the young gentleman who helped us was Adam. He was very quick and efficient. He seemed very experienced. The sizes he picked for us fit perfectly. My son was very amused by him. His friendly and sweet demeanor kept us entertained throughout the whole ordeal, which was very helpful because my son usually hates shopping. Will definitely be returning! read more

First, I just enjoy shopping here. I've always gotten good help--thanks Eder and the rest of the staff. I like that I can find what I most all of what I need without having to go from store to store. I like their custom pants program where you can choose from many swatches and get the look you want without spending more than you would getting them off the rack. I also want to say that the manager Dennis went out of his way to make sure I was happy with a decision of my own in which I changed my mind on something. This is what customer service is about.
