I'd highly recommend doing some research online prior to going in-store. Made the experience extremely easy. Was addressed by the manager as soon as I walked in, he answered a few of my questions. After about 15 minutes I was helped and Quinten was able to get me squared away with items in store as well as ordering a few items online all while he was helping other customers. Horrible Experience several weeks ago after years of shopping at this location. Came in looking for a suit and alterations on several pairs of pants I ordered online from mens Wearhouse. Only two men working, one was busy with another customer. The employee that helped me was less than helpful, condescending and seemed annoyed at my questions and didn't want to help me at all. I have purchased most of my work clothing at this location and the Oak Park, IL store. I won't go back after being treated horribly and disrespectfully by the staff. My wife was with me and we both decided to leave the store, she was shocked at how rude the employee was. After we left the store we realized we might have been profiled as "less desirable" customers because I was dressed very casually in shorts and not dressed in my work clothing I usually wear when stopping in the store. Staff shouldn't judge a book by the cover, we were prepared to spend our money, and if he would have looked me up in the system he would have realized I was a regular customer, but were so turned off by the rude staff we left. horrible, I never leave a review but my experience was so pathetic I'm compelled to share my experience. I was the 3rd person in store, with staff standing around. Owner/manage reluctantly offered to help only to ditch me after 5 minutes. The other staff appeared to be hiding in the back room as they saw me and also didn't offer any assistance. They mixed up orders for the wedding party, which meant that I had to make three cross town trips between their Madison locations to fix their mistake, only to have them give me a tuxedo that fit poorly anyways. Instead of them suggesting different sizes that made sense, we had to fight them every step of the way to arrange for me to get something that fit me at all. They promised me compensation for my trouble, but didn't communicate this between stores and are currently wasting more of my time calling each other and debating how much to compensate me. Unequivocally one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I had to resolve the MANY issues we had with this location by calling their corporate office. I am not one to have a short fuse with retail establishments, as I know people are often overworked, but we spent over $1,500 here on some tailored suits that were all measured incorrectly, and some not at all. Be prepared to spend a long time waiting for help from a rushed and possibly less-than-knowledgeable employee. In-store management can be helpful once you are able to bend their ear for a second, but in my experience, they will be pretty confrontational from the jump. Go somewhere else if you can manage it, especially if you are buying suits that you (hopefully) plan to keep for life. A sizeable investment like that deserves a customer experience that is tailored to your needs. read more

Hubby and I went here to get him a new suit for his company Christmas party. The gentleman who worked with us was very helpful, and very nice. The prices are high, but the suit we ended up with is a Calvin Klein, and just beautiful. New suit, shirt, tie, shoes, and a couple pairs of jeans. The jean were buy one, get one 50% off. My husband and I were shopping for a sportcoat for my husband last Saturday. We really needed some help as neither one of us are really that great with fashion. Michael was extremely helpful and was able to get my husband to try on a few things that he never would have tried on without the suggestion. We ended up purchasing two sportcoats, a couple of shirts, a pair of dress pants and a pair of jeans. The clothing is fashionable and fits my husband perfectly. What a terrible time suck and bad experience. Spent over an hour on two trips picking suits I needed at 'two for one'. Talked through how to get three items at 1/2 each. Get measured and chalked on all three items. $980 becomes $1270. Told they can't do 50% off at register when my card is in the reader. Pull out card. Confirm with sales person he said each item would be 50% each, he says yes, and tries to upsell me some pants. Talk with manager who tries to upsell me pants to get better deal....classic bait and switch. Didn't think stores would do this anymore. So disappointed. read more

I don't usually write reviews for non-restaurant establishments, but had the urge to appreciate their help last weekend. Went to buy a pair of new suits and tie, and was helped by our great consultant, Ed. He was very helpful and patient, gave recommendations that is fair instead being pushy. His approach in understanding AND communicating size-fit and color matching really what helped me to make informed decision and satisfied with my purchase. He continued to give quality service despite the hectic day. Overall it has been one of the best experience I have with formal wear and clothing stores. I guess a good consultant does make a big difference in customer's satisfaction and purchasing decision. read more

Our experience here was disastrous. They mixed up two customers in the wedding party, leading us on a goose chase between sides of town to find the right tuxedo. Once we found the right one, the sizes were entirely wrong, and we had to try on various sizes we suggested (not the rental people) to find the proper ones. This should be zero stars, but that's not an option. The east side location is honestly the most rude, unprofessional, and incompetent business I've ever worked with. From the beginning they made my wedding even more stressful. When I say I called in around 20 times to fix things they had messed up, i am not exaggerating. They even forgot to add a groomsman to the online group where you can track the progress. They also overcharged every single person in the group, going over what was originally quoted. When I finally got my suit, it was horrible. Huge and baggy coat and long pants. I asked them to fix it and order a smaller coat and they had the nerve to argue with me and tell me I look good and this is what I should wear. I wear suits for a living so I know how I am supposed to feel in a suit and for them to argue with a customer is a total lack of respect. It took so much back and forth and a waste of my time for the east side team to finally order a smaller coat. And to top it off they gave one of my groomsman an ivory pocket square when he was supposed to have a red one. These are just a few examples of what went wrong and why I am compelled to write a review. To save everyone a headache of dealing with this lack of attention location. I understand I had a big wedding party, but this is your job. Get it together. The best experience I had with men's wearhouse was when I went online to chat with a representative who agreed with my disgust and transferred me to the west side location. My experience at this location was only to pick up the suit, so I cannot say much about their business model. Overall, save yourself a headache, money, and embarrassment by going to maybe nedrebos or honestly just buy your own suit for half the price. read more

Decided to go with Men's Wearhouse for our wedding tuxes. Chose two tuxes. They said we could order one at a time for trying on. The first one took three weeks (!) to come in. The second one took even longer. We had to call to ask about it, and it sounded a lot like no one had ever placed the order to begin with. We purchased seven ties from them because their rental ties didn't come in the right color for us. The guy gave us a random assortment of regular/big & tall ties that weren't even the same shade as one another! Oh, and the ties that come with their tux rentals are CLIP ONS! We asked to speak with a manager after our try ons taking MONTHS, and he half-heartedly apologized but took no further action. Considered going elsewhere about a month before the wedding because the chaos and disorganization continued and I didn't want to risk them messing up our wedding day. Only reason we didn't leave was because there aren't many other options around that have locations nationwide. They had a deal going that a certain number of groomsmen tuxes would make the grooms tux free. Long story short, my husbands tux was 100% free and I still would NOT go back!! Side note: My mother took her husband to a men's wearhouse in Pittsburgh, and they had him try on the wrong tux for our wedding...not even similar...thank goodness she mentioned the color to me via text. Many bride friends of mine have also reported bad things, across many states! Definitely would not recommend this company. read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience with this store. When you first walk in someone immediately helps you start picking out different suits and sizes you up. So you try on all these suits and they hem it up and pretty much choose the suit for you. BUT at no point is the price ever brought up until you get to the front register and it's too late. I feel like I fell into a trap. By the time I got up to the register I had already spent half an hour trying on suits so I didn't want to start over. I spent $950 on two suits WITH the "buy one get one" deal. Then, it turns out that after I picked up my suits a few days later, when I went to put it on for an important job interview THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG PANTS BACK. When I spoke to a woman on the phone about this she was not apologetic what so ever and simply asked when I could return the wrong pants they gave me. The icing on the cake was later that evening when we scheduled a time for someone to come to my apartment to swap the pants and they weren't even on time. I would never recommend this store to anybody in a thousand years. It is way over-priced and the customer service is completely awful. I wish I would have just went to somewhere else like Kohl's. read more
