Went in today with my husband looking for formal attire to wear to a banquet. A pair of men walked in after us. For context, we were all individuals of color. Neither of us were greeted; yet a Caucasian man walked in AFTER all of us, and was greeted and assisted right away. Apparently, they don't provide service to individuals of color. Quickly identified my correct sizes and had full suit ready for me to try on, in the correct color, right away. Had my suit paid for in less than 20 minutes from the time I walked in. There's no wonder Men's Warehouse review is 1.7 out of 5. I used them twice this summer. First time they gave me pants so Ill fitted they looked like clown pants. Second time I left a valuable in my inner coat pocket. Called them one hour after I dropped the suit off. And they said they would try to get it. The garment bag had a Scan on it so they knew where the suit was. after a case number, several calls and emails, and two weeks, I received an email there is nothing they can do and I'm simply out. Cannot stress enough. DO NOT USE MENS WAREHOUSE. There's better places to do business than this company! read more

I just bought a brand new siut from Men's Warehouse in Maple Grove. After having a challenging time trying to purchase it as the lady in the dirty Hijab. Very poor customer service from her. The final straw that got me mad was she didn't even say "Thank you" or anything!!! She just handed it to me a turned around. I wish I would have read the reviews for this place before spending $466 on a new suit and the lack of service like this I will never go back and let everyone I know what happened. Go to Kohl's. If I could give 0 I would. Very rude, prejudice, and they make it seem as if customers are an inconvenience. I was rushed out, on top the staff not knowledgeable of anything. They need older men in there who know how to measure. The day before a wedding my jacket was 3XL bigger. It look like a blanket. Secondly, my pants were extremely short and loose so in this case small and top of this all they tried to act as if it look good and it was okay. Like are you serious? You give me a coat that is 3XL bigger and white shirt which seem to have blood stain on and small pants. These young men have no idea what they are doing and depending who you are. If they like you they will take their time. Ill be headed to a different store to get resized. read more

14 years ago I spent thousands at the Maple Grove location. I remember that experience as being fantastic. Over the years, I'd occasionally stop back and get a tailored shirt. I've never had a complaint, other than their Tie prices are a bit high. I haven't been there for 10 years. Recently, I went back to order two new tailored shirts. (regardless of the Yelp reviews) Upon walking in the door, I was happily greeted my multiple employees. My service was prompt and cordial the entire time. The employees asked each other for second opinions on my fit (big shoulders, broad back, large arms and large neck). The overall experience was wonderful, just as I remembered it years prior. The only negative I have, is that there isn't a large selection of dress shirts available at any given time. There are plenty of other things to buy in the store, but a larger selection of shirts/colors would be nice. Maybe some day I will go somewhere else besides Men's Wearhouse. But thus far, I have no reason to. read more

Nick was calming and extremely knowledgeable about suits for our wedding he even helped us as make a custom suit for the wedding. I can not thank nick enough for this delightful experience. Well I did a review and they asked for an email. I have sent two without a response. I sat in hold with customer service for over 20 minutes twice. I am 100% confident they do not care to hear how horrible this store is. 2 of our guys have gone in and their items were all screwed up. I have spoke with the manager kevin 3 times now and it is just excuse excuse excuse . It is appalling. One went to do a refund for what he was charged for renting and wasn't supposed to rent it and Mike asked him what he needed and he told him and mine didn't care to help him so he went and helped another customer that came in the store after and left our guy standing that. It's 10:20 in the morning and have been actively sitting on the ground for the past 30 minutes waiting for this place to open. This is the second time in the last 30 days I have attempted to get into the store within an hour of the supposed opening time of 10:00. Sure is a "professional" environment here, that's for sure. I've shopped at this location and at the downtown store many times... mainly out of convenience. There is so much mark-up and mark-down going on at this place that it will give you a vicious case of vertigo. On top of that, you have Reward Coupons and deal cutting with the sales people. I'm going to guess that the mark-up in this place is somewhere around 14,000%. The selection of clothing and shoes is a little limited, but I am grateful for that because more options in men's clothing usually just confuses me. Men's Wearhouse seems to be teeming with salespeople when you don't need help and devoid of employees when you do need assistance. I usually end up with the "cute young girl" who thinks that flirting with me will get me so intoxicated that I'll buy an extra sweater vest. Nice try, cupcake, but I'm immune to your feminine charms (i.e. I have no money). The last time I shopped at this location, the salesgirl noted that "your arms are too long for your body - I'm not sure what size that makes you"... it was a crushing blow to my body image, but a fair assessment of my orangutan-like arms (bad for clothing, but phenomenal for brachiating). There always seems to be confusion around how to ring up merchandise on the register (I assume this is correlated with the complex mark-up / mark-down issue noted above). I do like that the store will email you a receipt instead of printing one off. If I still lived on the East Coast, I would be frequenting my local haberdashery. I had a diminutive Italian tailor named Bobo who fitted me in exotic silks and velours. Now that I live in the Twin Cities, I'll have to adapt to the local customs and styles. Overall, the clothing isn't bad and the convenience is high, so I'll be back. read more

Just tried to buy a tie and a matching pocket square. There are at least 5 employees on the sales floor doing random tasks, no other customers except for me. One of the employees is leaning against the counter watching a home improvement show on the television. One employee took 30 Seconds to show me two examples of ties in the color that I wanted and then immediately went back to folding pants, he never asked me another question, no one else tried to help me whatsoever. After 10 minutes of searching through the ties myself, I asked the employee watching television if the show is any good and then I left. Very disappointing. read more

Bad. Very bad. Planning our wedding we went to this MW wanting to look at rental vs. purchase options. The retail side of the store knows nothing about the rental side and the rental side knows nothing about the retail side. Customer service was beyond terrible. Fast forward, my husband is now a groomsman in a friend's wedding. The couple had set selections up for the guys to buy at MW. My husband and two other (of 6 total groomsmen) were told they needed to purchase things they didn't need. read more

Would give ZERO stars if possible. My fiancé and I scheduled an appointment and walked in. None of the staff greeted or acknowledged us. The two staff were working with other customers but at the very least should have acknowledged us. They were very unapproachable. It was an older Caucasian gentlemen. About 20 minutes into waiting, another customer walks in who is also Caucasian (my fiancé and I are Asian) and within 2 minutes the older white gentleman walks over and greets them and acknowledges them. He walks right past us as if he did not even see us. He proceeds to tell them that he would be free to work with them shortly. HE SAID NOTHING TO US! We were literally waiting right in front of his face. Not only that, we had an appointment and all other customers were walk ins. Very rude customer service. We ended up walking out and will plan to not return. I do not recommend this to anyone. Go elsewhere if you are looking for suits. read more

I came in here to shop for a sport coat. When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted even though employees were staring directly at me. I don't care if I come into the store with sweat pants, it's your job to help customers. Shortly after, I left and went to Jos. A. Bank where the employees helped me immediately and I came out with a nice sport coat. I'd pay more money at Jos. I can recommend this place. Growing up near here I bought my first suit from this MW store in 2000, and despite living in different parts of the country I somehow continue to find myself with the recognition that I have not had a better experience buying a suit anywhere else. They've always taken care of me, made sure I got a great suit that fit well and, most importantly, hit the following criteria: not too expensive and made me look good. Although I now live outside the midwest, I recently bought another suit from these guys - I had lost 30 lbs and needed at least one good suit. After less than 30 minutes and telling them exactly what I wanted, we had a suit at a fair price that looked great. They did the tailoring and even shipped the suit to me to a different state, in less than a week, so I could have it ready for a wedding I was attending. The tailoring was great, I'm very happy, and once again I find myself wondering if I would try very hard to go somewhere else the next time I need a suit. My fiancé and I have gone in there numerous times. First, for our tux rentals for our wedding. That side of the business is great. The staff is wonderful, attentive and extremely polite. Now, if you head over to the side to buy a suit the staff is extremely rude, not helpful and frankly down right condescending. The last and final straw for us was this past weekend. We had $250 dollars in gift certificates to use and when the 'gentleman' heard our budget he immediately told my fiancé, why don't you come back when you have more money. We then proceeded to ask a few more questions and literally as we were asking these questions he stuck out his hand, shook our hands and said have a great evening and walked away leaving us standing there in shock at his rudeness. We ended up leaving not one person telling us to have a nice night, nothing, just blank stares. We then drive over to the Coon Rapids location where we tell them what we are looking for, they lay out at least 10 options for my fiancé to choose from, we were also able to get him a shirt, and a pocket square for under our $250 budget. You would benefit greatly from learning the customer service skills the Coon Rapids Store has. read more

I was in the Maple Grove store this past Sunday with my fiancé and again I was completing unimpressed with this store. The two blonde girls working at 11:00am in the wedding tux rental department could not have cared less about their job. We were not met with a friendly face or even a "welcome to the store, what can we help you with?" Instead they looked as if they would much rather be anywhere else. In additional to being totally unfriendly, they were also completely useless and lazy. One just sat on her ass while it took the other a long time to even find my fiancés rental. I wanted to give these girls the benefit of the doubt, but as more customers came in to return rentals, the sales girls continue to show how little they actually cared about their job. I can understand if someone is just new at their job, and maybe these two were, but they clearly had no motivation to help, learn or go the extra mile. Just sad, because there are plenty of ambitious teens out there that would love to take their job. I can most certainly say that unless the overall customer service of this location drastically increases, we will be purchasing suits elsewhere. read more
