I rented a tux recently for a formal event. I did this last year with no issues. This year when I tried it on at the store, I told them one of the clasps did not work on the pants. The lady checked it out and told me it was fine. I went to the event and the clasp was not working and I had to pull up my pants the whole night as there are no belt loops. I told them about my bad experience and they offered me a $10 credit. For a $260+ cost, that seems way to little and I told them so. read more

We went to the Galleria area store to purchase a suit for my husband to wear at our daughter's wedding. We shopped on our own for awhile and then we had a salesman help us. He ordered the pants for the suit my husband liked. Unfortunately when the pants arrived they didn't fit quite right and tailoring was needed. Thankfully, that service was offered and the price was very reasonable. We returned a few days later and the pants were ready. We received help and we were able to take the suit home!!!!! Michela was a helpful salesperson who was eager to make the suit work for us. We were finally able to take it all home since the team made it all workout!!!! This person is quick, thorough, professional and friendly and only enhanced the experience beyond measure. While multitasking and being completely present Ash was able to read my mind and identify exactly what I needed without be able to tell her exactly what I needed. Ash knows their stock, knows people, knows how to solve problems quickly and professionally and is 100% an asset to this company. My husband stopped here today, walked through the store, looked at some suits and was never approached for assistance. He mentioned that there were also others who were there seeking assistance to no avail and ultimately they all left without being assisted. We were not greeted when we walked in or offered any assistance in looking despite the fact that it wasn't busy. The store was very disorganized and items were not clearly labeled or placed in the correct section.EDIT: I have little interest in resolving the issue, we took our money elsewhere. If this store hasn't fixed the problem they've been having with bad customer service (since these same reviews go back at least 2 years) then obviously the business has no interest in improving. Booked our wedding appointment at MW expecting the experience described on the website - "one of our Expert Stylists will take your measurements and help you find your perfect style and fit." We were initially helped by a new employee and pretty much spent an hour not really making any progress. Totally fine to be new and not know everything, but at one point, he was actually leaning against the front register counter chatting with his coworkers while we stood awkwardly by the dressing room feeling like unwanted customers. And then Angel arrived!! Hallelujah! He helped adjust the measurements and fit. He was super knowledgeable about all the MW tuxedos/suits, and was able to provide helpful suggestions to create the wedding party style we wanted. He's a great salesman and pleasant person. We've been here multiple times. One time for a close friends wedding, and then multiple times for my own wedding party. Customer service is HORRIBLE EVERY SINGLE TIME...to tell you we would rather drive an hour to the San Jose store rather than 20 minutes to this location. Employees seem to be annoyed with you and with no energy to serve you. Today my dad, my Fiance, and I stood there for 10 Minutes just waiting for one of the two employees helping ONE person to greet us, notice us or offer help. I had to approach BOTH EMPLOYEES that were helping ONE customer. One of the employees was bent over on the counter "hanging out" while we stood there waiting. HORRENDOUS. It was BOGO [Buy-1-get-1] weekend [or for however long it has been]. I usually joke about how BOGOs at Men's Wearhouse is like BOGT [Buy-1-get-10] for women at some nice bag/shoe store. There is just no reason NOT to buy something - especially if they have been on your need/want list for some time. The service that I received at this mens warehouse was amazing. Our salesman was Steven. Young guy, great accent, dressed well, and he is very intelligent. I told him during our time there that he was a great asset to this building. Amazing work ethic, spends the time, makes the jokes. Without Steven in that building my brother and I wouldn't have made a full suit purchase with additionals like socks, ties, shirts, and shoes. He really did help me out so much finding a suit for future job interviews I have lined up. The value at the store is great, they offer a wide selection of price range on their items. Not only that but they can do tailoring as well and in total my basic alterations only came out to 36 dollars. They don't rush you and it is a safe and clean environment in regards to covid19 restrictions. Just as a heads up to the staff that they should not judge a book by its cover. I typically wear a suit at least 5 days a week. I dropped off my car today and thought I would head to the mall for a Starbucks coffee. I remembered I needed a dress shirt and wanted to take a look at a new suit. When I arrived at the door, it was 2 minutes before opening but after letting in an employee, they locked the door before I could enter. I went to the other entrance just after opening and it was locked (and no one came to open it until a man who was better dressed came to the door). Maybe that was just the timing but I walked in just after him and the employees asked that gentleman if he needed any help but ignored me. I was dressed in jeans and Spyder sweater and an old pair of tennis shoes but was surprised in a store with 2 employees and 2 customers, that no one asked me if I needed help. I checked out some shirts and after about 5 minutes left. With that right salesperson, I think I would have bought a new suit (budget of $1,000 - $1250) and a few shirts. I want to highly recognize David for his excellent customer service at this Men's Wearhouse. My son and I walked in Tuesday evening and it seemed busy. We patiently waited to be called for a prom fitting. Even though the store was busy and there were many customers waiting, David was very attentive and patient with taking our suit order. Horrible experience. Had two people help us, neither of them were helpful AT ALL. The first woman was measuring my fiancé with a measuring tape. I told her we wanted a suit to rent in November. She looks at me and asks, "oh, you're renting?" She stops MID MEASUREMENT, walks away without saying one word to us, and tells another person "they're renting" so he can attend us instead. They only had one style available to rent. I asked if my fiancé could try it on. He said no. I asked how we were supposed to know how it would look? He said we'd have to wait until the rental got here. I asked if they had something similar he could try on so we could at least see the fit. He rolled his eyes and grabbed a jacket. It was too small. I asked "do you have anything a little bigger? This will be too tight with the vest underneath." He said "oh this isn't the same style as the suit you'll be renting." So I say "can you show me something in the same style as the suit he'll be renting?" He tells me they don't have it in that color. I explained to him, AGAIN, that we wanted to see HOW IT WOULD FIT. I didn't care about color at that point, I just wanted to know how the full suit would look on my fiancé. He rolls his eyes again. Twice now. So he comes back with a suit, vest, and jacket for my fiancé to try on. The arms were too short and the pants were too long. He never even asked my fiancé what size pants he wore in the first place. I told him I thought we would probably just look for a suit elsewhere. He says "okay" and walks away. That was it. End of story is these people were snobby, unhelpful, unaccommodating, and made us feel like an annoyance to them. Not to mention they made us feel like second class citizens the second they realized we were renting. Will never go to this place again, and I will definitely be telling everyone I know to avoid this location. read more

After returning from vacation, I had to take my 16 & 19 year old sons in to get a complete outfit each for a dressy family dinner the next day. Phillip is AMAZING! He helped us find a jacket, shirt, tie, belt, socks and shoes in one hour for both boys. They look great! And on top of it my youngest went through a growth spurt and is now 6' 4" with size 14 feet. Not easy sizes to find, but they had them! Every time we go (once a year), we have great service and are able to find all that we need. Amazingly all of it was less than $900 for two complete outfits (jackets and shoes included)! read more

Went here recently after getting a gift certificate as a graduation gift. I had very specific needs: one suit, one or two blazers, a few dress shirts, a few pairs of chinos, and maybe a few accessories (pretty standard white-collar starter pack). I had not been measured in a few years, so that was the first step. I made the mistake of telling the sales associate right up front what I was looking for. He quickly took a few sloppy measurements and immediately starting grabbing things off the racks. I pointed out that they weren't even all the same size, but he assured me there was some variance and they would fit. I tried everything on that I could and thought it was snug, but he said that was a correct fit and it wouldn't shrink (if you hadn't figured it out, I'm fairly new to business dress). I asked for some advice on matching and variety and he didn't want to give input, probably out of concern I wouldn't buy something, and just kept grabbing things until I said yes. I got it all home and washed it according to the labels. Everything shrunk. All my shirts are a good inch or more short at the wrists, I can't button them at the top without my face turning red, and the pants are tight at the waist. Everything labeled as "no-wrinkle" wrinkled, despite my taking it straight from the dryer and hanging it up. The chinos are already unraveling after maybe four washings. So, quality of clothes isn't really there. This location, and the company overall, despite a seemingly wide selection, has a very limited range of some low-quality brands despite mid-quality prices. I also learned the hard way that the people in the store care more about making a sale than they do about satisfying a customer. I would imagine they don't get much repeat business. I say this because after this episode, I later went to a tailor who wasn't trying to sell me anything and got a much more accurate (and different) set of measurements. Turns out that I'm slightly in the big and tall sizes at a bit over six feet with broad shoulders. The store doesn't stock these sizes, or at least not in what they were trying to sell that day, so the associate just ignored that fact and pushed what they had. Overall, not a great experience, and especially so now that I'm starting a new job with a bunch of ill-fitting clothes. The location is convenient, there is more on the racks than any other men's clothing stores in the area that I'm aware of, and someone with more common dimensions and experience shopping for these kinds of clothes might have a better time, so two stars instead of one. However, please learn from my experience and go prepared if you choose to. read more

I came in to get measurements for my military uniform and the portly lady working at the time said they don't do outside measurements because of COVID-19 and not wanting to touch people. I beg your pardon? You're telling me that if I come in to get measured for a suit, then the COVID-19 wouldn't be an issue? Well, the MW in Little Rock, Arkansas had no problem taking care of my friend. I just think this customer service representative was just being lazy. Good selection of suits, shirts, ties, etc., in various colors and sizes, friendly, accommodating, patient, and knowledgeable staff who seem to enjoy working together and helping customers. I'm happy to have this store nearby and definitely plan to return next time I need to spruce up my wardrobe with more formal wear. I'm colorblind and fashion-ignorant; my wife isn't. We were both pleased with the treatment and guidance I received. Be warned that alterations will take time due to limited staffing, so you may find yourself needing a local tailor afterward if you don't find your perfect fit and you're in a hurry. read more

This is the second time I've been to this store in Monterey and had the same experience. Only this time, I decided to walk out instead of making the substantial purchase that I transacted the first time. I patiently waited for a sales rep to help me, to no avail (again), and watched as they floated around the floor with disinterest. I finally went up to a sales lady hanging clothes and politely asked if I should make an appointment. She said I could, but there was no assurance the store wouldn't be too busy to attend to me. After responding that I was looking to purchase a wedding suit or tux and accessories, she said my problem was that I was waiting near the rental station so everyone assumed I was there to rent. I told her I was waiting so long I had to sit, and there was no other place to do so; that there was no sign alerting me to this fact; and that no one seemed to care in any event. After stating they were busy (which was not apparent to me) she suggested there would be more people to help "after lunch" then begrudgingly asked the suit color I was looking for. I thanked her for her time...and left. I would have apologized for being such a pest, but I'll admit to being annoyed at the attitude. The first time I came to this store, i was there to find attire for a funeral that was time sensitive. This time, it was a wedding, and I felt I had options. And that is something this store and this business would be wise to remember. You must treat customers better if you intend to survive and prosper. Good luck, but I'm not coming back. BTW, May I suggest that, rather than apologetic platitudes, store reps actually perform a quality audit of this store's service? I've now reviewed some of the other experiences reported below. Maybe it's simply coincidence, but there does seem to be a pattern here and, if so, the store has an opportunity to fix it before it's too late! The racks and tops were unkempt and not organized very well. The store was quite spaced out and comfortable--Just not particularly clean. Loved the displays and the lighting here, though! And they still had excellent products, of course. Just don't expect to be able to easily find what you're looking for. The women here didn't pay much attention to customers. The female manager (blonde) just stood behind the counter playing with the other female employee's hair (Auburn/Redhead). When asked questions, the female manager got short with me, and we eventually walked out without having purchased anything. She was quite rude--something I wouldn't have expected from management. The gentleman who helped my fiancé might have not known as much about the products (possibly new?), but at least he tried and was friendly. He took his time, and gave honest advice. I enjoyed the assistance he provided, but unfortunately we had to eventually ask for help from blond woman. I believe the gentleman's name was Carl or Carlton. Bottom line? Don't anticipate getting helped, and expect to spend extra time looking for what you need. (If you want great service, I'd highly recommend going to CAPITOLA. Ask for Cal, Liam, or Anthony. First of all I want I want to thank Johnny for going above and beyond his work and customer duties . I ordered a rental suit for my son and the a wrong vest came in. I was already frustrated with another gentlemen from the previous visit to place the order he was not polite and not very helpful. I was more upset over the fact I had to wait for another vest to come in and having to drive to Monterey again from Salinas to pick it up. Immediately Johnny overheard my frustration and he jumped in and made it right by overnighting the vest and not only that but he offered to bring it to me to Salinas. Would you like to buy a suit of the lowest quality? Would you like a suit made in some enlightened country like China or Turbanistan? Would you like a suit that a wino would refuse to wear because it's too ugly? Then rush on down to the Men's Wearhouse! Seriously, the clothes sold here are truly shoddy (Webster's defines "shoddy" thusly: "1. of poor workmanship 2. shabby 3. of, or pertaining to, the Men's Wearhouse [sic]"). Cheap materials make for unattractive clothes, and the tailoring is blocky and formless. A double-slam body blow! Their accessories are similarly lousy. They sell those awful dark-colored "dress" shirts, ties that used-car salesmen reject because they're afraid the ties would make them look sleazy, and pants with about fifteen pleats per side. All you need is square-toed shoes and you're dressed for failure! The guys putting in time here as sales staff have gone beyond working fast food, but have yet to find a real job (unlikely they will, considering how lousy the service is). EIther that, or they're saving money to go someplace--anyplace--else. You, too, should go someplace--anyplace--else. read more

My brother recommended me this warehouse because this is where he got his suit for his wedding. So I decided to give it a try for my partner, he was on the hunt for a tuxedo. As soon as we stepped in, all I seen was black, blue, and grey colored coats. I figured since it's a "warehouse" or whatnot, it'd have a huge selection.... I was approached by an employee, don't know his name. But he is tall and dark skinned. He greeted us in a weird way, didn't really ask what we were looking for. Kind of just looked at me and my partner up and down. I was like okkkk, I'll do the talking then. My partner was looking for a burgundy tuxedo, but we were open to suggestions. Didn't have to be burgundy.. I showed the employee a picture of what we had in mind, said they didn't carry that, I asked to be shown something like the picture, he showed me a purple coat. I then seen a photograph of a model with a tuxedo and asked well what about something like the one on the model was wearing, he told me they didn't rent it. I never said I was looking to rent or purchase. Since I'm aware that sometimes it's better to purchase than to rent, vice versa. I showed him more pictures and he literally recommended me another warehouse. I don't know if he thought we weren't able to afford the tuxedo or what was his issue, because he was very uninterested in helping us. We walked out and he didn't even say have a good day or anything, he just turned around. I've worked in retail before, and never treated anyone different for how they looked or what they were wearing. Keep in mind our outfits were cut and clean..
