I've found the camp director, Azuree, very open and responsive to any concerns or questions I may have. She follows up and is always professional and approachable. My son had some trouble making friends the first two years (he still said he had fun!) and I let Azuree know before camp start this year. It has made all the difference! My son is even happier this summer than the last two - and that's saying a lot! I know that is due to the fact that the Azuree has invested in him and taken my concern seriously. My son also consistently reports that he loves his counselors. It's important to note that you see the same counselors year after year and that, to me, is a very good sign that this is a good place...because the counselors (and kids!) love coming back :) The Camp Fire LB website outlines their camp options very clearly. I wholeheartedly recommend the Backyard Bunch Adventure Camp option. Sign up and payments can be done online which is super convenient.

It was not particularly outstanding archery lessons, but both a male and female instructor were friendly and engaging with the girls. At the end, they even allowed the parents a go at the target. I must say that while the duo tried their best at accommodating the students, their equipment was a bit lacking. The draw weight in the bow I used was next to nada. My try-everything-at-least-a-hundred-times husband agreed. Still, while my hubby and I were a bit disappointed with the private instruction and the equipment, this Sunday afternoon (2/23/20) was a perfect day to try new things. Other Highlights: + restrooms on site + our troop was able to bring snacks and drinks + picnic area right next to archery area + plenty of free parking + clean, safe grounds As long as COVID-19 does not ruin summer camp, there should be plenty of activities and day camps geared toward "developing teamwork skills and strengthening camaraderie." The programs are not just for youth. Workplaces can also schedule an outing for their employees. When dust finally settles from this Coronavirus s***... She's experienced many new activities like archery, climbing a 32ft rock wall, ga ga ball, real life hungry hungry hippos, making their own snacks, & many arts and crafts projects! She made many new friends and hopes to see some of them again for Summer Camp! The camp counselors were always courteous and welcoming! The pool is well heated even at the opening time 5:30 in the morning. I love swimming at 5:30 early morning. So quiet, warmly heated, good music. Almost every agency that could be involved got involved costing money, time, and parenting time. Maybe the way they interview or ask questions by supposed "man dated reporters" need to be modified as I am a mandated reporter myself in the end from one person who really wanted to love this camp why have I heard about the same story from another situation and parent before too?

I came here and did my lap swim about 2 years ago during pool maintenance at the Y Los Altos. The pool is big, heated, and has small hot spa (jacuzzi). The upstair cardio area is decent, has lots of upgraded machines, free weight area, and great view toward the outdoor pool. The studio for GroupEx classes is big, well air-conditioned, and clean. I stopped by women's locker room before class and noticed overall clean in the restrooms and shower. They have lots of classes for young members and seniors. Especially a variety of Aqua classes are very popular for the seniors such as Aqua fit, bootcamp, Aqua deep, and etc. The parking is big enough next to Von's market, Marshall in the large strip mall. They are like corporate gym such as 24 fitness, LA fitness. They have lots of choices for the pool activities and groupEx classes. Great workout place for family, even myself. The staff is so friendly.

Everyone knows that money can be tight from time to time and the staff is accommodating and will work with you. Your child comes first. They do not make you feel guilty should you find yourself in this position. They have financial assistance if needed. I have not had to utilize this, but it is comforting to know that it is available when, and if I ever need it. My son LOVES being there. They have many fun things to do, especially during the summer. They are on top of it when it comes to bullying and make sure that kids have an enjoyable time while there. For those on a tighter budget, it is very affordable.

He was very unprofessional. We were ready to sign up, but my daughter did not like how he was talking to us. At 11 years old she said he was being rude, seemed rushed, annoyed, and angry. Let's hope they get some professional training, because this was unacceptable. We asked to speak to the manager and he stated he was the manager. I am a veteran and have worked in the professional field for over 20 years. They have trainings on how to properly speak to someone with respect.
