I'm guessing because we were moving from a 1000 square foot condo the owner decided his freshman team of movers could handle the job. We usually use bulwark movers and were completely caught off guard by how awful these guys were. They took a break after every item they put on the truck and it took them close to an hour to breakdown and put together our bed (we only had 1 bed. Our twin bed was only on rails). Now that we have been in our new home for a few months I have noticed they ripped our mattress (and didn't tell us), scratched our dresser (and didn't tell us), broke a dinning room chair (and didn't tell us), they also broke a lamp but they owned up to that. We paid $600 to be moved and now need to spend more than that to replace the damaged property. I would like to note that they do have movers who are capable. I know this because after complaining to the owner he sent the varsity team over to help. read more

The actual movers were very good, they worked very hard and were very friendly and helpful. Our only issue we had was at time of charging the resting balance we were charged 3% for using the card, if we would have known that in advance we would have paid cash. That makes me feel as though there was some dishonesty there. It would have been more professional to let us know from the beginning and let us decide from there what we wanted to do. Plenty of fish in the sea they say, and surely Phoenix metro is not short of local movers. What makes Dignity stands out IMO is their passion for what they do and exceptional customer service. We used the guys for unloading purposes only, so I cannot vouch for complete moving experience, but these guys are undoubtedly my first pick for future moving needs for myself, friends, and family. Daniel, the owner, was super sweet and accommodating to our last minute needs. Incredible service! This was a request for my almost 99 year old MIL, over Thanksgiving weekend. Notified Mentors on Thanksgiving morning, they texted me within hours that they would be in touch. Called at 8:15am Friday after Thanksgiving, squeezed her apartment move in to their fully booked schedule, and arrived at 11:15am Monday morning. Super nice guys. Stuff going outside for pick-up, stuff going to Goodwill, stuff going to the trash, a motorized scooter somewhere else. These guys did it all, always considerate and polite. Update : I have changed my rating to 5 stars as they deserve. After my review, I was contacted by Daniel, a partner at the company and he apologized for the behavior of the crew member and said the crew member was severely disciplined. However, the company believed in second chances and would let him work - I really appreciate the response of the administration. I was also issued a check for the damage to the wooden floorboard. I did not claim for the table as I didn't believe it was worth claiming for. Again, the company has gone to great lengths to make it right and I would definitely work with them again and recommend to my family and friends! This review is very difficult to write as I hated them and loved them at the same time. I was looking for movers for a local shifting from a 2 BR condo. I reached out on Yelp and got multiple quotes from different companies. Though there were companies with cheaper rates, I loved the interaction with David who unlike other companies gave me quotes based on my items for the worst case scenario. Other companies usually under quoted and they were not lying to sell, which was a good reason to go with them. And I did! Move was setup in a breeze and a date was fixed. Got a confirmation call a day prior and then crew called me as well a day prior to confirm any exceptional items. All this was very impressive. On the moving date, they were pretty much on time. They inspected the house first and started the move. It was a 3 man crew. They were very efficient. Within no time, the house was empty. We added a few more stand alone items like trash cans and standing fans which were impossible to fit in a sedan. They wrapped it all and took it. Things they wouldn't take were small stand alone items like smaller lamps with lamp shades(risk of breaking) which was reasonable. 2 of the 3 guys were exceptional. Communication was fantastic. They would listen to us, explaining which boxes were fragile. They would ask questions when needed. Fantastic experience. 3rd person was a complete jerk. Completely unprofessional at all times. If you tell him an item is fragile- he would roll his eyes. If you told him to keep a smaller suitcase on the top without any weight on top, he respond with "Boss, that is how anybody keeps things" in a sarcastic tone. On arrival to the new place, I called them to confirm they had shoe covers since we had recently put new carpet - to which they responded with a yes. However, they did not have it. While I understand taking off shoes is not appropriate for safety reasons, 2 of them improvised to make sure they were not on the new carpet with shoes. 3rd person however was again sarcastic - he explained to me " If I take off my shoes and something falls on my foot, it is YOUR (a finger pointed to my chest) responsibility, not MINE." Now with a 3 man crew, we essentially had 2 people carrying most of the stuff, which 3rd person mainly stayed in the truck and was maybe bringing stuff in occasionally. Set up was done within 5.5 hours. Quoted max was about 5 hours ( we had more items than the initial quote, however, likely the 3rd person not working also contributed to the length) At the end, all items were intact except a wooden coffee table which was wobbly. The supervisor took pictures of it, and said they did not cover for that kind of wood. Completely understood - it was a cheap table and I was not surprised. The wooden panel on the floor at the entrance also chipped off when they entered the house and the supervisor said he would talk to his boss about getting that reimbursed. However the 3rd guy was still adamant and rudely kept interrupting the supervisor saying that we would get nothing and these things were cheap etc etc. Basically he was fighting with the supervisor to even take this to the higher admin about events that happened. The supervising crew apologized for his behavior and they kept. I am still waiting for a call to hear back about the 2 damaged items (1 in the house and the other an item). Overall Impression: I would choose them again because they were super nice, efficient and the job was done almost perfectly without any hassle. However, only way I would choose them is when they have fired this unprofessional crew member who completely takes their cordiality down the drain. read more

I move often enough to know my stuff can be unloaded within the 2 hour minimum time range. I'm single and live alone, and I think they tried to take advantage of this by milking the clock. Upon seeing my POD and stuff, one mover said, "is that it?", further supporting my knowledge that it can all be unloaded within 2 hours. Especially since I don't care at all where anything goes in my apt, as long as it's inside the front door. Anyway, things were going ok, and I was keeping my eye on the time since this is my money here. When it got to the point of 30 minutes remaining, there was more stuff left than usual. Moving is expensive enough without milking the clock, so I set aside stuff I could do myself, and had them take care of the remaining large items, such as my couch. I'm pretty darn capable, but I cannot as one person carry a couch up a flight of stairs. They finished what I laid out for them, I signed the paperwork under the 2 hour mark, tipped them even though I didn't really want to, and then I spent my own "free" time taking in box by box. 3 stars since nothing was broken, and my big stuff was moved in once the milking the clock situation forced me to stop being nice and start being real. :D Also, this was over a year ago (December 2020). I would give these guys more starts if possible. I found them on YELP after our previous movers had left us in a pinch. With less than 24 hours notice they were able to help us unload our 26ft truck that my husband had just driven from Chicago. The movers where fast and courteous and the companies owner kept in touch with us via text through the whole process to make sure everything was perfect. This company was recommended to me from Veterans United when I purchased my new home. I was quoted 1500 for my move. They showed up, moved my things, then at my new residence told me it was 3200 dollars. I have called and emailed. No one will get back to me and they just give me numbers to speak to "someone higher". Eventually I was told this was "my fault" because I had more items to move than they anticipated.... I had a 3 bedroom house and one bedroom was completely empty. Unbelievably disappointed in their business practices would not recommend to anyone. These guys are amazing! I requested a quote from them late at night to bring a ton of furniture and other items to a Goodwill the next day. They responded with a quote and had all my stuff out of my place by 9:30am the next morning! Not only that, but they were super nice, professional, insanely fast and gave me the contact information for movers they know in the city that I'm moving to in California. The price was totally reasonable and even though they could have charged me for moving other things in addition to the furniture that was on the quote, since they hustled and finished in the expected time it was no extra charge. they do not have insurance. move at your own risk. they badly underestimated the time and costs and we were left to unpack and get rid of the boxes ourselves. they are not piano movers..they do not have the equipment to move a piano safely. they were careless and fought amongst themselves with the resultant horrific, disorganized packing. wall sockets for the tv were torn out of the wall as they pull too hard on the cords. they broke a plasma screen tv by pressing too on the packing thus breaking the plasma inside. the list is endless. we filed a claim in june after a month of attempting to get the name of their insurance company. the letter we received is below: "focus moving solutions is not an insurance company focus moving solutions has no liability concerning your claim. the liability is solely that of the moving company you hired. focus moving solutions does not make decisions regarding the settlement of your claim. the disposition of your claim is solely that of the moving company you hired." we have heard absolutely nothing since june 20th when we received a brief note saying they had gotten our claim. to have your customers go to court to recoup losses just because they don't respond seems like a very poor business read more

Sales rep Jessie seemed kind, knowledgeable and professional upfront at first. He was patient and flexible with scheduling a move date since my new home builder had to push my completion date back twice. After a couple weeks and deposit was made we had a move date. Jessie suggested a 3 man crew and it would take 8-10 hours for the move. This included a hot tub which was questionable as to whether or not I needed to hire a contractor. Once I showed him the specs and dry weight he came to the conclusion the crew could handle moving the hot tub. Received a confirmation window between 8-9 am. Crew arrived at straight up 8am. The lead Francisco was surprised by not only the quantity of furniture items but that the hot tub wasn't communicated from the sales rep. He harped that moving an item of that size and weight would require and extra moving trip, possibly a 4th person and about $200 more than the original quote. Francisco hinted on a few occasions that around a $50 tip is the norm for this type of move and not total but for all 3 crew members and to make sure it's cash and not on my credit card cause it'll be taxed and they would get less. He also referred to me as Boss throughout the entire 8 hours of the move. Very annoying. Once everything was moved I tipped all 3 men $50 as I was very happy to see them leave. Several items that include prescription medications, vitamins, supplements and and gold Seiko perpetual calendar watch are missing. Called the company several times over a month and never received a return call for my clams loss. Save your time, money and sanity and use a more professional moving company. read more

We had an amazing experience from start to finish! Our team of 3 were professional, courteous and spent almost 10 hrs moving our 3-bedroom home without complaints. I think it took longer than they had anticipated but they did not rush or complain. They took their time and wrapped every furniture item for protection.
