The young guys Danny and Zay who moved our home were awesome. However the billing department and management team are straight a$$. Hidden fees, rude, and they straight up lied about pricing at the end of our move. I actually feel bad for the guys who work here. They had a "stair fee" and our apartment was in front of an elevator and we never used the stairs. They lied and said they scouted our complex and went into our apartment and this NEVER HAPPENED. Their management team kept calling our movers (5-6x) trying to rush them for their next job before they were even done with our move. I could tell these young guys felt pressured and I actually had to tell them to stop answering because that's unprofessional. Not to mention, they charged our card before we ever authorized it. This company moved the previous owner's of my home out. While doing so they damaged my floor and immediately admitted to it and promised to have it repaired. That was two months ago and they have not followed through. I am left with no alternative but to file a a suit in small claims court. I know they have (or should) insurance for such accidents , but apparently do not want to use it. I have been patient and made time for repairmen to come out. My floor remains damaged. read more

contacted them 3 weeks prior to moving for a quote on packing and moving services. the rep was really nice, talked over the phone about the size of the house, number of people living there and how many "big items" we had- and got a really great quote. locked them in! a week before the move, they reach back out to confirm big items and asked for pictures to better get prepared for a time estimate. I sent the pics and next thing I know the quote is TRIPLED and I'm connected with a "senior estimator". the guy blows smoke, promises to price match competitors when I tell them it's a ridiculous bait and switch tactic and then ghosts me. no requote, no follow up, just silence. Worst experience ever! Maybe it was a one-off but absolutely EVERYTHING went wrong. The freight truck arrived FULL. Guy in charge calls contract movers and a box car. Nothing overseen and nothing tied down. Contact driver slept while truck was loaded, said all he was paid to do was drive. Then our whole house contents were moved again to a freight liner in another state, even after asking them not to. Half our belongings broke, some missing. Worked with claims and got a measly $2,000. The Sleep Numbers bed they destroyed was $9K alone. They also lost a 50lb base to a Golden Fire pit. Then we literally had to spend 10 hours in a Walmart parking lot moving everything to yet another truck to bring to our home. Do not use this company. They screwed up royally. read more

I hired Muscular Moving Men to move my home from Los Angeles to Palm Coast Florida. They seemed good at the onset, but once they delivered everything the service became horrible. They broke 2 vacuums, an antique desk, lost our silverware, and now after finally unpacking my 65" smart TV saw a big dent on the bottom of the screen. When I pugged it in it was destroyed. I've been waiting to hear back from their insurance department because I bought the $665 insurance for the move and have heard nothing for over a week. Completely unacceptable! read more

I cannot even believe how terrible this moving company did. I was on the search and reading reviews of all moving companies before choosing MMM to move my family from Utah to California- so I am writing this review to help others not make the same mistake I did. A summary for those who don't want to read the whole story - was over 24 hours late to pack - pack so poorly they ruined and broke many things - left behind SO MANY things at my house in Utah without even telling me. Enough to fit the largest Uhaul trailer you can rent. Causing lots of issues and pushing back renters ability to move in. - Ripped out my neighbors tree and left it on the side of the street First, I was scheduled for packers to come on May 29th, they didn't show up. The next day May 30th, they showed up and started packing, not professionally (probably to make up time) shoving hats at the bottom of heavy clothing boxes, keeping some clothes on hangers, some wadded up. People who helped me unpacked were shocked that I paid thousands of dollars for them to pack me up. The driver got on the road late on May 31st. He gave us a heads up that they couldn't fit 2 TVs and small Traeger, which was annoying because I had showed them every inch of my house and was very honest how many things I needed packed, but since we were making this house a rental, we said it was okay. The next business day, June 2nd, I got a call from the professional carpet cleaner I had hired to clean my house saying he could not do what I hired him to do because my house was full. I was now in California so I had to call neighbors to go check. They had left SO MUCH STUFF. 5 TVs (not just 2 like they said), ALL my area rugs (some costing more than $2k), a table, a desk (funny the moving truck had the drawer from this desk but no desk), 2 FULL boxes of my children's clothing, most my artwork, lawn chairs, a huge mirror, my scale, my dogs bowls, my toddler stepping stool, my sons electric scooter, multiple bikes, drawer sets, wrapping paper, and so much more. Not to mention, when the moving truck arrived he hit my new neighbors tree, ripped off a 13 ft, 200 lb. branch & was told by my HOA to take it with him but he left it behind after we gave him $200 tip. We left our suburban in Utah, planning to drive it to Cali but ended up hiring our handy man to rent a Uhaul trailer to pack in everything the movers had left behind and bring it up sooner. He rented a mid-size Uhaul and had to go back and get the biggest trailer they had to fit all the stuff MMM left behind- that is how much they left! INSANE! He drove my Suburban over to Cali and because the trailer was so heavy- it burned out my transmission and now I need a new car. I have been fighting with customer service for almost 2 weeks now a little refunded for all the trouble and the cost I had to pay to get the left behind stuff. They are making me jump through so many hoops and dragging their feet. Ill update on what they actually do to make this right. Cannot believe I hired them to do a job and the did not even come close to completing it. Overall low-quality experience. Moved from Chicago to Los Angeles 1) We went with this company because Chris and Kolby provided solid communication and promised quick delivery. Specifically paid more compared to other companies for this. Originally was quoted 5-7 days, when it came to actually signing 7-14 days; came in 13 days. 2) Good communication ceased after signing. I stated that pickup was in the suburbs and that they did not need a courier (extra $500 expense), and I get a call from the driver in the morning of pickup that hes getting a courier truck. Clearly this was not communicated to the driver. 3) The driver Marcus did not know who I was when he showed up and said "delivery to denver". Incorrect. Bad start. 4) Marcus and Melissa (the person in charge of interstate deliveries) seem to not talk to each other and not like each other. Marcus complained about how she tells clients one thing and him another. I was told Marcus would be driving directly to LA. Marcus told me he was going from Chicago, to Dallas, to Denver, and then to LA. 5) When my items arrived there was trash everywhere in the truck and boxes were crushed/strewen everywhere. He first needed to spend about an hour just cleaning up before moving stuff in. 6) On day of delivery Marcus did not have someone to help him so he wanted to just come the next day. This was not amenable to our schedule to he moved everything in on his own (Marcus is a champ). 7) We ended up with a box that was not our and missing one item of ours. I communicated this to Marcus and Melissa. I was ghosted by both of them - no response. So now I'm left with trying to figure out on my own where my item is and how to get in contact with the owner of the random item I was left with. Only reason its now a 1 is becuase Marcus was working very hard to satisfy the clients and item did come within the signed for timeline, which is faster than most companies. These folks picked up my household from Oregon to Wyoming. The driver Jax and hired helpers arrived exactly on schedule and took great care loading my items. The process was explained and then Jax drove to Wyoming. He arrived on time with good careful helpers and was unloaded and on his way to the next stop in 4 hours. Only one small item broken ($75 lamp) everything else arrived in great shape. The support staff kept in good contact throughout the process. read more

My husband and a friend were at the storage unit waiting for them and they never showed up. How could they have missed a 26 foot U haul truck at the entrance! There is no way! They couldn't have not seen them. Our storage unit was the very first one in the complex. They charged us $840 for a cancellation fee! I DID NOT cancel! If this is how they do business. These folks are devious and prone to breaking furniture and not helping with repairs. I made the mistake of trying them again 5 years later and the same disappointment. They broke a lamp due to trying to balance too much on a hand-truck and didn't inform me when they did it. They also broke a dresser pull and didn't inform me. What should have been a straightforward move turned into a frustrating and stressful experience. I scheduled with Cedric to move a piano on 12/23/25 for 12-3PM at my apartment complex. They came up at 5:29PM, one minute before the office closed. In total they took 30 minutes to move it to the final location. They charged me over $600 dollars for a service they performed outside the time frame we agreed upon I filed a complaint with Cassie on December 26, who promised to address my concerns with a follow up call, but after 3 weeks later, I had to initiate a call back for a resolution. The real issue started with the lack of communication with Cedric, who would not answer or return my calls for their tardiness. This timing was crucial since it was the last day of my apartment lease, and the office closed at 5:30 PM. I ended up getting charged an extra day for not moving out on time. Even follow up correspondence with Judith, their Client Experience Manager, was unsuccessful. Their solution was to refund $50, the deposit I paid to make the appointment. This amount doesn't even cover the additional day I had to pay my landlord for their delay. While I understand that delays can happen, the total lack of communication and the unprofessionalism shown by Muscular Moving Men is unacceptable. This experience caused me significant stress and left me with extra costs I shouldn't have had to pay. I would not recommend this service to anyone. TLDR. The move started off well, with good communications with the sales team, a good estimated cost (though added fees were a source of bad and inconsistent communications which I had to push to remove) and with the driver to pick up the household items. From there the move went downhill fast. The company delayed the shipment arrival time twice on short notice and reluctantly agreed to a third date upon forceful communication by me. The delivery came with the delivery driver having no documentation for the move (he was a highlight though and was very professional) and with broken items and missing items. We are still working to get reimbursement for the damaged and missing items. I would not recommend using this service and realize we should have gone with a different company even with a slightly higher estimate. read more

Muscular Moving Men was the company that National Van Lines used as a sub contractor for our interstate move. Our driver Pete did a great job. He was professional, and focused on the well being of our household items, including an antique Piano, during the entire process. He was detailed in handling the paper work, and the teams he brought in to help with the move seemed to enjoy working with / for him. His moving team in our destination city was particularly professional, efficient and fun to work with. They even returned, 30 minutes after leaving for the day, b/c they realized they forgot to adjust the placement of our piano. The operations team need customer service training and how to respond swiftly to customer complaints. My pool/dining table should have been moved and reassembled on Saturday, here it is Tuesday, and it lays in pieces on my dining room floor. And 2 full business days and still no clear resolution from management. Not to mention the team left my previous home completely wide open and unsecured, despite having the garage code, and clear instructions. Also left the box of my table parts back at previous home an hour away from new home. I can only hope that on Friday the contracted company for crating and reassembly shows up, so we can have holiday dinner. I would discourage anyone trusting this company with any prized possessions. To reiterate, the team you sent to Bend, OR, spearheaded by Chip, performed in a less than acceptable manner. We paid $15,000 for your professional services & expected a professional result. Since we have continued on our own to un-box particular goods that were placed in our storage facility by MMM, we have discovered further damage to previously undetected items, many of which are irreplaceable. Of course, once you sign off on reparations for the initial damaged items, you cannot return for further claims. Makes sense, as they wash their hands of you once the third party insurer pays out pennies on the dollar to compensate you for your losses. I absolutely would never recommend Muscular Moving Men, unless your contract includes an extremely high amount of insurance coverage for your treasured items. They simply fall short of their promised good service and although friendly, MMM has little to no oversight on who they ally with to actually deliver the goods to their destination. read more

I guess it's on us for expecting our movers to not break a bunch of our furniture during the move- regardless whether they're from IKEA or not. Also, one mover admitted it was his fault our dresser broke, they still wouldn't cover the mere cost of only the dresser due to negligence. Update: Although they had offered an additional $200 for all this damage, Muscular Moving Men would not reimburse me any cents without requiring me to sign a document agreeing that I will be removing my review. Ever had a company drop the ball on you and then try to take advantage of you after the fact? I had a contract for 4 men to show up and execute my move for $1,300 high estimate. Simple move: a few pieces of furniture, a few miles source to sink. Movers showed up an hour late and only had one male and one female. The female could not carry any furniture, and the one man could not execute the move on his own.... I had to help him. Move took 3x the expected time as result and many items were damaged and or destroyed due to improper handling, including a $4,200 lazyboy recliner. Instead of making things right, the company attempted to charge me double the high estimate and would not leave until I signed. The most awkward part of this was the office manager, Steve, not knowing that he was on speaker phone telling the worker what to do and how to negotiate. Bad look for Steve. When I refused to pay the amount, the movers finally left. My card was charged a few minutes later without consent, well above high estimate. As for the damage, I was offered $500 to cover my $4200 recliner one month later... that's not even enough to have junk removal come get rid of it! Worst part of all of this is that I genuinely felt bad for the two movers. I bought them chikfila, gave them each a Benjamin, treated them well. Shame on the manager and company for putting these folks in a bad, unsafe situation, then trying to take advantage of the customer. Very low. I run a service business myself, and look, mistakes happen. It's about how you handle them when they do. Very happy with my experience! I spent weeks receiving quotes and researching the options for inter-state moves. I finally pulled the plug with MMS and was glad I did. They showed up at the date/time we scheduled and delivered things right on time. Both times, the crews were polite and efficient. MMS wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive.
