The young guys Danny and Zay who moved our home were awesome. However the billing department and management team are straight a$$. Hidden fees, rude, and they straight up lied about pricing at the end of our move. I actually feel bad for the guys who work here. They had a "stair fee" and our apartment was in front of an elevator and we never used the stairs. They lied and said they scouted our complex and went into our apartment and this NEVER HAPPENED. Their management team kept calling our movers (5-6x) trying to rush them for their next job before they were even done with our move. I could tell these young guys felt pressured and I actually had to tell them to stop answering because that's unprofessional. Not to mention, they charged our card before we ever authorized it. Left their personal trash behind. Broke several pieces of furniture and a large TV. Had chunks taken out of an antique buffet. Left a broken chair in the bushes where they tried to "hide it"! I hired Muscular Moving Men to move my home from Los Angeles to Palm Coast Florida. They seemed good at the onset, but once they delivered everything the service became horrible. They broke 2 vacuums, an antique desk, lost our silverware, and now after finally unpacking my 65" smart TV saw a big dent on the bottom of the screen. When I pugged it in it was destroyed. I've been waiting to hear back from their insurance department because I bought the $665 insurance for the move and have heard nothing for over a week. Completely unacceptable! read more

Moved in May. They damaged 2 pieces of furniture. They broke the glass on a cabinet door and put a deep long scratch/gouge into the top of an antique long 6 drawer dresser. "Just fill out a claim form" we were told. Like it's so easy! Now after just moving an entire house I get to spend time arranging furniture repairs. After all you only have a certain amount of time to file the claim after you can actually get someone out to repair your furniture. We experienced a couple weeks of runaround with the claim, like the ins co asking us for a bill of lading multiple times. It seems that MMM was kind of slow providing the information needed to their ins co. for our claim. After all was said & done, claim was paid to us in July. We recouped $75 of the $375 we paid for repairs. As if it wasn't bad enough to pay the $$$$ for the move itself...oh & we had to pay that immediately. Digitally. Or we would get extra percentages tacked on. Sure wish I could have IMMEDIATELY deducted my damages before paying them & wasting much time starting the multiple phone call claims process. read more

I cannot even believe how terrible this moving company did. I was on the search and reading reviews of all moving companies before choosing MMM to move my family from Utah to California- so I am writing this review to help others not make the same mistake I did. A summary for those who don't want to read the whole story - was over 24 hours late to pack - pack so poorly they ruined and broke many things - left behind SO MANY things at my house in Utah without even telling me. Enough to fit the largest Uhaul trailer you can rent. Causing lots of issues and pushing back renters ability to move in. - Ripped out my neighbors tree and left it on the side of the street First, I was scheduled for packers to come on May 29th, they didn't show up. The next day May 30th, they showed up and started packing, not professionally (probably to make up time) shoving hats at the bottom of heavy clothing boxes, keeping some clothes on hangers, some wadded up. People who helped me unpacked were shocked that I paid thousands of dollars for them to pack me up. The driver got on the road late on May 31st. He gave us a heads up that they couldn't fit 2 TVs and small Traeger, which was annoying because I had showed them every inch of my house and was very honest how many things I needed packed, but since we were making this house a rental, we said it was okay. The next business day, June 2nd, I got a call from the professional carpet cleaner I had hired to clean my house saying he could not do what I hired him to do because my house was full. I was now in California so I had to call neighbors to go check. They had left SO MUCH STUFF. 5 TVs (not just 2 like they said), ALL my area rugs (some costing more than $2k), a table, a desk (funny the moving truck had the drawer from this desk but no desk), 2 FULL boxes of my children's clothing, most my artwork, lawn chairs, a huge mirror, my scale, my dogs bowls, my toddler stepping stool, my sons electric scooter, multiple bikes, drawer sets, wrapping paper, and so much more. Not to mention, when the moving truck arrived he hit my new neighbors tree, ripped off a 13 ft, 200 lb. branch & was told by my HOA to take it with him but he left it behind after we gave him $200 tip. We left our suburban in Utah, planning to drive it to Cali but ended up hiring our handy man to rent a Uhaul trailer to pack in everything the movers had left behind and bring it up sooner. He rented a mid-size Uhaul and had to go back and get the biggest trailer they had to fit all the stuff MMM left behind- that is how much they left! INSANE! He drove my Suburban over to Cali and because the trailer was so heavy- it burned out my transmission and now I need a new car. I have been fighting with customer service for almost 2 weeks now a little refunded for all the trouble and the cost I had to pay to get the left behind stuff. They are making me jump through so many hoops and dragging their feet. Ill update on what they actually do to make this right. Cannot believe I hired them to do a job and the did not even come close to completing it. Worst experience ever! Maybe it was a one-off but absolutely EVERYTHING went wrong. The freight truck arrived FULL. Guy in charge calls contract movers and a box car. Nothing overseen and nothing tied down. Contact driver slept while truck was loaded, said all he was paid to do was drive. Then our whole house contents were moved again to a freight liner in another state, even after asking them not to. Half our belongings broke, some missing. Worked with claims and got a measly $2,000. The Sleep Numbers bed they destroyed was $9K alone. They also lost a 50lb base to a Golden Fire pit. Then we literally had to spend 10 hours in a Walmart parking lot moving everything to yet another truck to bring to our home. Do not use this company. They screwed up royally. read more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They get 0 stars, but I had to put something in to make this post! We hired this company to help us load our storage unit into a 26 foot U-Haul truck. My husband and a friend were at the storage unit waiting for them and they never showed up. How could they have missed a 26 foot U haul truck at the entrance! There is no way! They couldn't have not seen them. Our storage unit was the very first one in the complex. They charged us $840 for a cancellation fee! I DID NOT cancel! If this is how they do business. These folks are devious and prone to breaking furniture and not helping with repairs. I made the mistake of trying them again 5 years later and the same disappointment. They broke a lamp due to trying to balance too much on a hand-truck and didn't inform me when they did it. They also broke a dresser pull and didn't inform me. The move started off well, with good communications with the sales team, a good estimated cost (though added fees were a source of bad and inconsistent communications which I had to push to remove) and with the driver to pick up the household items. From there the move went downhill fast. The company delayed the shipment arrival time twice on short notice and reluctantly agreed to a third date upon forceful communication by me. The delivery came with the delivery driver having no documentation for the move (he was a highlight though and was very professional) and with broken items and missing items. We are still working to get reimbursement for the damaged and missing items. I would not recommend using this service and realize we should have gone with a different company even with a slightly higher estimate. read more

What should have been a straightforward move turned into a frustrating and stressful experience. I scheduled with Cedric to move a piano on 12/23/25 for 12-3PM at my apartment complex. They came up at 5:29PM, one minute before the office closed. In total they took 30 minutes to move it to the final location. They charged me over $600 dollars for a service they performed outside the time frame we agreed upon I filed a complaint with Cassie on December 26, who promised to address my concerns with a follow up call, but after 3 weeks later, I had to initiate a call back for a resolution. The real issue started with the lack of communication with Cedric, who would not answer or return my calls for their tardiness. This timing was crucial since it was the last day of my apartment lease, and the office closed at 5:30 PM. I ended up getting charged an extra day for not moving out on time. Even follow up correspondence with Judith, their Client Experience Manager, was unsuccessful. Their solution was to refund $50, the deposit I paid to make the appointment. This amount doesn't even cover the additional day I had to pay my landlord for their delay. While I understand that delays can happen, the total lack of communication and the unprofessionalism shown by Muscular Moving Men is unacceptable. This experience caused me significant stress and left me with extra costs I shouldn't have had to pay. I would not recommend this service to anyone. TLDR. Muscular Moving Men was the company that National Van Lines used as a sub contractor for our interstate move. Our driver Pete did a great job. He was professional, and focused on the well being of our household items, including an antique Piano, during the entire process. He was detailed in handling the paper work, and the teams he brought in to help with the move seemed to enjoy working with / for him. His moving team in our destination city was particularly professional, efficient and fun to work with. They even returned, 30 minutes after leaving for the day, b/c they realized they forgot to adjust the placement of our piano. I can't speak to this company's reputation/customer experience, writ large, but our experience working with Pete and his teams was very positive. read more

RUN, don't walk AWAY from this business! This business held our furniture hostage (parked down the street) when they wanted more money than they quoted. They changed the amount 3 times! They threatened us repeatedly, harassed us, & when we didn't pay what they wanted fast enough (a 5 minute delay) they tried to repeatedly pull money from our bank account (which is illegal) over 8 times. Went with this company because they assured me they could properly move my pool table-but certainly coordinating that was beyond their capabilities. The operations team need customer service training and how to respond swiftly to customer complaints. My pool/dining table should have been moved and reassembled on Saturday, here it is Tuesday, and it lays in pieces on my dining room floor. And 2 full business days and still no clear resolution from management. Not to mention the team left my previous home completely wide open and unsecured, despite having the garage code, and clear instructions. Also left the box of my table parts back at previous home an hour away from new home. I can only hope that on Friday the contracted company for crating and reassembly shows up, so we can have holiday dinner. I would discourage anyone trusting this company with any prized possessions. To reiterate, the team you sent to Bend, OR, spearheaded by Chip, performed in a less than acceptable manner. We paid $15,000 for your professional services & expected a professional result. Since we have continued on our own to un-box particular goods that were placed in our storage facility by MMM, we have discovered further damage to previously undetected items, many of which are irreplaceable. Of course, once you sign off on reparations for the initial damaged items, you cannot return for further claims. Makes sense, as they wash their hands of you once the third party insurer pays out pennies on the dollar to compensate you for your losses. I absolutely would never recommend Muscular Moving Men, unless your contract includes an extremely high amount of insurance coverage for your treasured items. They simply fall short of their promised good service and although friendly, MMM has little to no oversight on who they ally with to actually deliver the goods to their destination. read more

Hope these pictures helped. They offered to reimburse us $130 for all this. I guess it's on us for expecting our movers to not break a bunch of our furniture during the move- regardless whether they're from IKEA or not. Also, one mover admitted it was his fault our dresser broke, they still wouldn't cover the mere cost of only the dresser due to negligence. Update: Although they had offered an additional $200 for all this damage, Muscular Moving Men would not reimburse me any cents without requiring me to sign a document agreeing that I will be removing my review. Ever had a company drop the ball on you and then try to take advantage of you after the fact? I had a contract for 4 men to show up and execute my move for $1,300 high estimate. Simple move: a few pieces of furniture, a few miles source to sink. Movers showed up an hour late and only had one male and one female. The female could not carry any furniture, and the one man could not execute the move on his own.... I had to help him. Move took 3x the expected time as result and many items were damaged and or destroyed due to improper handling, including a $4,200 lazyboy recliner. Instead of making things right, the company attempted to charge me double the high estimate and would not leave until I signed. The most awkward part of this was the office manager, Steve, not knowing that he was on speaker phone telling the worker what to do and how to negotiate. Bad look for Steve. When I refused to pay the amount, the movers finally left. My card was charged a few minutes later without consent, well above high estimate. As for the damage, I was offered $500 to cover my $4200 recliner one month later... that's not even enough to have junk removal come get rid of it! Worst part of all of this is that I genuinely felt bad for the two movers. I bought them chikfila, gave them each a Benjamin, treated them well. Shame on the manager and company for putting these folks in a bad, unsafe situation, then trying to take advantage of the customer. Very low. I run a service business myself, and look, mistakes happen. It's about how you handle them when they do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I was quoted 4 hours for 2 movers to move my stuff from my 650 sq 1 bedroom to a new address just 15 minutes away. When the movers arrived, it was a female and a male teenager. The teen seemed more involved with listening to music on his headphones than working. It took them 6 1/2 hours, and I helped A LOT or else it would have been longer. I was charged a junk removal fee, but instead of taking the items to the warehouse to be disposed of like they were supposed to, they just put my old furniture in front of the dumpster. They didn't even finish taking apart my bed that I planned to dispose of so I had to go back and finish it. After reporting my experience, management refunded me for two hours. It was quite a hassle and ordeal just to get to this resolution. If the company is going to be called Muscular Moving Men, then the expectation should be you will get two strong men to help. If not, then be prepared to have to help as well or they should consider rebranding and changing the name because it's just false advertising. read more

Very happy with my experience! I spent weeks receiving quotes and researching the options for inter-state moves. I finally pulled the plug with MMS and was glad I did. They showed up at the date/time we scheduled and delivered things right on time. Both times, the crews were polite and efficient. MMS wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. I really don't like leaving bad review but when we paid $8,500 to move from Phoenix to Oregon with promises of best service... was opposite of what we experienced. We have moved nearly 10 times locally and cross-state. This was the worst experience...some of issues listed below. -mover asking us to drive to the store to get him some water, -movers complaining not enough staff on both pick up and drop off. - waiting for our stuff to arrive from 8am to 2:30 in the afternoon, - movers fighting with each-other using fxxx bombs and leaving the job, -mover being rude to the new neighbor - dumping everything in the garage so they can leave. - leaving us with furniture not put back together because they didn't have enough people - lost parts to furniture that can't be replaced - breaking of dishes that can't be replaced when it was marked fragile but dented boxes -$1k shelving that was tossed and bent all the metal frames, - sticky food substance all over the boxes and furniture from other people's stuff - white furniture with stains -broken marble table, - furniture left with punched hole - broken Waterford glasses due to dropped boxes - no inventory at the time of drop-off - missing many parts to furnitures that was taken apart - most of the furniture not being put back together, - - -leaving us with someone else's item, -scratched and nicked on two black dining tables that are over $5k - chipped heavy glass desktop - someone texting us to schedule drop off a week after the movers finished our move... etc... The bid we got from this company was the highest bid, and we chose it because they assured us that all the employees are their staff and don't subcontract... but the movers in charge of drop off were complaining this job was not worth what they were getting paid and their unprofessional conducts... i can only assume they were day laborers. Moving is stressful, and paying the highest bid with promised service...was exactly the opposite of what we received. I could not and would not recommend this moving company. read more

The driver and team were service oriented, considerate, and responsive. They continued to communicate throughout our experience and, though there were some weather delays, they kept us informed. What I really like about Muscular Moving Men is they took pictures of our shipment as it was being loaded. In a previous experience our former mover damaged a lot of our items. This allowed me to see their progress. And when I asked for a little more protection on an item, our driver, Brandon, handled it immediately. It was a 5 star experience. Shameless Liars, Not Trustworthy I was doing a local 4 mile move of heavy items. I called MMM at what appeared to be a Gilbert location, near me, based upon their website advertising and google maps placement. They are actually in North Phoenix. I described the move and items to Cedric. He was very efficient recording my bulky item info, not asking much follow-up. He tells me "we wouldn't charge anything to get out to you . . . So, yeah, the time starts once we get to your home." Pretty straightforward statement, no other context to reference. He quoted 1200 to 1400 dollars, thinking that 3 to 4 hours would be plenty of time. At the end of the move, I was invoiced over $2100 for 6.5 hours of moving and the full 215/hr labor rate for 2 hours of driving. Doesn't really resemble what was discussed. I made a rookie mistake when signing the estimate, not querying some of the line items, including travel time. I was doing other things and trusted my conversation with Cedric. That is on me, believing the salesperson. The whole conversation was recorded, yet I was gaslighted with three different versions of what his words actually meant. A couple of the versions should have resulted in less money, but they apparently didn't go with those iterations. I spoke with Chris, Alexandria, Cedric (again), and Erik (the accountant, who could only keep repeating that I signed the contract; yes, I know). No one seemed to understand how I thought from the conversation I shouldn't be charged $430 for driving down to move me 4 miles. Initially, we split the difference at the end of the move (so the moving guys could leave) but the next day, they simply charged my credit card another 215 without my approval. Actual times were 5.8 for the move and .8 to drive each way (according to maps) but they seem to do a lot of rounding in their favor. Additionally, the ploy seems to be to underestimate time required (60 percent in my case) and jack up the invoice at the end. That's why on the phone call there wasn't a lot of follow-up. I should have known better. I hadn't dealt with someone so blatant in a while. Make sure what you are signing matches what you were told. If not, ask questions. I wouldn't use these people again. Not one seemed to care about how business is being conducted. read more

We have had 2 moves with MMM. The first was from Woodstock, GA to Otsego, MN (October 2023), then Otsego, MN to Greensboro, NC (May 2024). The first move went well. Our driver was Brandon. He arrived on time, had a great crew and there were no issues with pick-up and delivery. The second move was a DISASTER. Both moves occurred with a period of 7 months. Since the move went so well in October, we decided to ask MMM to move us again. The problem started when our sales associate, Chris Pieker, had mis-quoted the original move. When Matt arrived to pick up our items (a day later than originally scheduled), he already had 2 customer shipments in the semi. So, there was not enough room to load our items. They were supposed to start loading around 9:30am, but since there was a space issue, the load didn't start until around 12pm. Matt's idea was to load what he could on our truck, travel to Chicago and drop his previously loaded customer items and return the next day to pick up the remaining items. They also decided to pick up a large Truck rental vehicle and load as much as possible on it. The large truck rental was parked in the driveway and the remaining items that could not be loaded on either truck were placed in the garage. In the meantime, Chris was trying to collect additional funds for the difference in items as quoted from first move to the present. He didn't call to discuss any of this with us, we just received an email stating we owed a certain amount and that it needed to be paid immediately. The invoice he sent over was for an additional $7,354.10. We negotiated a lower amount and reluctantly paid the invoice - the other option was they held our items until settlement was made. We reached out to Chris Pieker and Carlos Andaya - they were unable to assist us with this situation. We were then referred to Michael Richards, Interstate Operations Associate and then David Orloff, Interstate Operations Manager. In the meantime, We called Carlos Andaya, the move coordinator, to find out what was going on. We left MN on May 14, 2024, and our items (not in their entirety) was delivered on May 24, 2024. Great! After 9 days, we had some of our furniture. Thank goodness I had the forethought to pick up some air mattresses. The photos below were from the delivery. The items in the truck were not secured in the truck. The unloaders had to use ladders and tie off the open entrances to prevent the items from falling out of the truck. As you can see, we had many items that were totally destroyed. We filed a claim and MMM concluded our damage was only worth $147. What an insult. We reached out to David Orloff and requested the move be fully or partially refunded (crickets). We contemplated suing MMM but did not. We hope this review will be sufficient to warn potential clients they have a 50/50 chance of getting all their items delivered intact during a move with MMM. On a final note, we received the remainder of our items at the end of June, 2024. Some items were never received, 1/3 of our items were damaged and needed repair or replacement. In one of our emails from Michael Richards, he wrote, "Again, I am sorry we came short of expectations. We are not perfect, but we are accountable." As a customer who has moved often, we know there will be some items which will be damaged - it just happens. However, when it happens on a scale to which we received, I can confidently state that Michael Richards should embarrassingly remove the statement "we are accountable" - as they are certainly not. This was the WORST, most unethical company I have ever dealt with. They will lie and cheat you. I am a 75 year old woman. I guess since I'm a senior citizen they thought they could easily take advantage of me. Instead of delivering my belongings in a timely fashion, my stuff was driven around the country for two weeks, moved from truck to truck and in the process damaged furniture and lost some precious momentos that can never be replaced or monetized. They never even attempted to look for anything. They placed numbered stickers on my belongings for what?? They don't keep track of ANYTHING. Gifts from my father who died more than 30 years ago. They lost all my son's yearbooks, photos and memorabilia from his school days. Because of them I had to spend over two thousand dollars in hotels. They didn't even know where my stuff was. In fact, they sent me an invoice for the move a week before the truck arrived. They did not even know that it hadn't arrived yet. Also, this wasn't cheap. I paid almost $5000.00 to be treated in this manner. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. They are truly the worst. I am so traumatized by this entire ordeal. WARNING Don't book‼ This company is all around unprofessional and should not be in business. When you look at their website they state the men are drug tested, trained, and back ground checked. So I was shocked when they told me nonchalantly they stay strapped and they don't do this job sober. This was half way through the move making me extremely uncomfortable. Every single part of this move was a disaster. They're robbing people, and destroying peoples personal items. I booked this company to move my 1 bedroom apartment into a truck I purchased, because I am moving states. I had a 16 foot truck meant for a 2 to 3 bed and they had me on the spot go get a 22 foot truck that's meant for a 3 to 5 room move. So already an extra $2000 because they were trying to get out of the job they were hired to do. As we got the truck figured out, they wrapped everything with 1700 layers of saran wrap as if that was going to protect my stuff. They got everything out of the apartment within 45 minutes and at that point it was 11am. They had two things to take out and I thought it would take no more than 5 minutes for them to finish. They were there until 1pm RUNNING the clock, as they get paid for the longer they take. One of those two things was my coffee table. Somehow made it into the truck, and then was dropped out of the truck. Absolutely destroyed my coffee table. At around 12:00 I had to leave to do other things so my boyfriend stayed behind. As I left I observed two guys just sitting on their phone outside while the other one was sitting in our apartment. Everything came to an absolute stop. Again they were pretty much done, just running up the clock. I have a one bedroom and it took three of their guys 6 hours to load a truck! If that says anything. They stacked everything absolutely stupid. Please see photos. Boxes that were in perfect condition, mangled. Only using 14 feet of the 22 foot truck they made me go get. So there was 8 full feet of empty space in the truck. That truck was an additional unnecessary $2000. Then as they were leaving they let us know we should probably get straps for this F- job they did. THEN I was double charged. I've had to call daily for three weeks now. Haven't gotten far. Please don't book this company it's been an absolute nightmare and would have never booked had I known. I live 10 minutes away from the warehouse and was charged $100 for fuel, $215 for transportation. Even though they didn't put my stuff into their own truck. TONS of hidden fees they don't discuss when booking. Company is false advertising and is a scam. Every single piece of my brand new furniture I got 6 months ago is either completely destroyed or extremely scuffed up. They advertise they take apart your furniture. They straight up ripped fixed bolts out of my furniture pieces. Do not give this company your business. No protection when stacking things stupidly. They had more than enough room to lay everything flat. They didn't even bother taking apart my dining room table that has two legs and can be done in two seconds. Again every single piece of furniture is ruined. Don't book. Might I add, I pulled my tv out of the $50 box I asked them not to put in, to the frame of it cracked and a huge d*ck drawn on my tv. The disrespect. One of them was fired to my knowledge, but at the end of the day it was all 3 of them and so for the job to be done so horribly they have to let someone go, and every manager I've spoken to says they didn't do the job properly, yet still won't do anything but offer me $87 for over $5000 in damages. Joke of a company. Don't book. And to be clear this isn't due to things shifting when driving. These damages happened before we even shut to door to the truck. read more
