If I could give it zero stars I would. It is marketed" as a "museum" or entertainment center and it is really an industrial building converted into a bizarre three story assault on the senses using paint and LED lights. First off, it costs $15 to park. That is a ridiculous price to park. Then you gotta get tickets. Those cost upwards of $35 per person (seniors) and up . . . and then you buy this card that you scan at various hidden kiosks to collect "clues" to solve the convergence. Who cares? This isn't interactive. It is passive. None of the exhibits are "interactive" in that you are engaged with them. Then your bags are checked to be sure you aren't bringing in any disallowed items (I was glad they had security). Upon entering the building you'll scan your ticket and see an information desk in front of you with a person smiling and watching you try to figure out where to go. To your left is the cafeteria and to the right, the store where you can buy Meow Merch. You are suppose to be entering a space ship and take the elevator to the second floor where you leave earth behind . . . When you get out of the elevator into this non-earth space, your senses are assaulted by lights and sound from all angles. There are weird displays of petri dishes labeled as "Witches Meningitis" and as you walk along the path with store front facades on either side, you come to various alleys . Some lead to doors, others to stair wells that go no where. Behind the unmarked doors are rooms with painted interiors, no windows, sounds and lights. The rooms are of various sizes and shapes. It is really bizarre. The path on the second floor reminded me of the Ramen Museum in Tokyo with fake storefronts full of fake items on display. But at the Ramen Museum's fake storefront actually offered ramen from various regions in Japan! Here it is all a facade that serves no purpose . . . there are fake flyers on the walls advertising a guy who is missing or an event but the language is nonsensical. You keep walking along as your eyes and ears are assaulted by nonsensical images and sounds. It is disjointed, confusing and boring. Eventually you come to a point where you have to go to the first or third floors again. The first floor has a fake enchanted fairy like forest with weird stuffed blobs on the walls. It is so bizarre. The worst part was the clown room where there are rotating clown heads on poles twirling around. What is the point of this place? Save your money and time and do not go here. It is my idea of what hell would be like. Nothing entertaining to be had here unless spending $50 (entry fee + parking) is your idea of fun. read more

Dirty, gross, and everything was broken. You're already paying $50 for this and then on top of that you have to pay to park in their lot. The amount of kids in here is insane. The whole place smelled like a fart and cotton candy spray. Almost all of the "interactive" parts weren't working. Parents are just letting their kids run totally wild, which sucks bc it's dark and I literally tripped over a child who was lying on the floor??? The staff that are about are rude and completely unhelpful. Then there's the teens who were obviously tripping balls. Y'all, psychedelics don't bother or offend me but when you're cheesed out and now you're sitting on the floor where people have to walk is a different thing entirely. And it was just SO crowded. You can't enjoy any part of it, Because again, some kid is shoving their way in front of you and their parents DGAF. I watched a kid literally break the handle off on one of the interactive things and the mom just watched. I've never hated anything more in my life. read more

I've been to the original MW in Santa Fe, so that probably biases my assessment, but both I and my wife were pretty let down by the Denver MW. The positives: some pretty creative art and tons of space. The negatives: the food/drinks are so bad, everything is super commercialized, very crowded, no coherent flow just a random amalgamation of chaos, and no real storyline. I would go to the Santa Fe MW again multiple times, but I have absolutely no urge to ever visit the Denver installation ever again. Huge letdown but I guess cool to see once, just don't expect anything life changing. read more

My experience was different from that of those who left high reviews. Perhaps I struck them on an off day. But my experience didn't come close to covering the cost of admission. There was no themed employee in our elevator when we were dumped on the 3rd floor. I didn't really see any themed employees. I gathered pieces of what was going on during my visit, but couldn't manage to get enough information to have a cohesive story. The fact that additional interactivity had to be unlocked after already spending $50 was frustrating. Many interactive exhibits were broken. Bad interactivity, average art, poor storytelling. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I thought I was going to a cool interactive art museum, but what I walked into was a disturbing, satanic and demonic world that left me feeling uneasy and sad. Our party of 4 spent $220 to see this attraction that was so highly recommended and hyped up. I wish I would have spent my money anywhere else but here. The minute I walked in, I had a horrible feeling in my gut. I should have listened to my instincts and left immediately. I first heard of Meow Wolf from a friend and so this trip was the 2nd of the 3. Like others have reviewed, it's cool but Santa Fe is better. For me, this was a one and done. There aren't as many interactive exhibits, Denver's exhibit is definitely more child friendly, and without paying extra for the Q cards you are going to have no idea what is going on other than looking at all the colorful objects. Lastly, parking could be a pain if there's a Broncos game or people grab all the parking spaces before you. read more

I went today with a fully handicap boy who I take care of and all of the staff were extremely accommodating and did not pry into the nature of his disability when booking tickets. Staff helped direct us to ramps and elevators without being asked. Thank you to all the staff today. read more

This place is CRAZY and was one of my favorite parts of visiting Denver. Everything is interactive and you are transported to another world. It can be overwhelming so I would not suggest being under the influence if you're easily overstimulated. read more

What a fun immersive experience. It was my first time doing something like this. I really enjoyed the whole thing, especially the Unicorn Poop and Oreo ice cream at the cafe. The automated music room with the boat was my fav. The mini movie theater was a close second. There was a character in the forest performing some stretching exercises with lots of customers under a long-legged animal, so cool! The work and detail with every piece and arrangement, incredibly neat. You can easily spend hours in there. Loved it! read more

Feast for your eyes! If you come with a group, pair off & split up to divide & conquer

Firstly, i went on a saturday and traffic was horrible! Just know that if there are any events at mile high thats going to add to your time. And if you're lucky like us and you decide to use a parking garage because youve been in stand still traffic for half an hour be aware you might encounter a train at a complete standstill on the tracks that you will have to jump over and go through! All that aside, once we got there the line and security moved pretty fast. The experience itself was cool to very interesting. Definitely creative art and rooms that are completely immersive and lead to more rooms upon rooms and more rooms of more creative artsy mind melds. My favorite had to be the space robot/transformers/ space ship room. And the room that had a lot of recycled signs looked like a ninja turtles set. The rest ranged from cool to okaaay to i could see kids getting creeped out by this. In their defense i didnt get whatever story line thing you can buy for 3 dollars. So it was ok to check out. I might go again if it didnt cost so much. So in conclusion, it was cool to check out but not worth risking my life. read more

Literally out of this world experience! I could not wait to visit MeowWolf Convergence Station. After visiting the Denver location I couldn't wait to go back and was ecstatic to hear they had other locations in other states. They have a nice little HelloFood Café, a cool gift shop, and levels of interactive, picture-perfect fun! With hidden rooms, a puzzle to open the sky, and boop-stations available throughout the museum to recover lost memories the adventures are truly endless! read more

Loved this experience! Brought my two yr old toddler and he also loved it. My only complaints are that they make people dump water before going in and then they have ONE water fill station that has to be hunted down. The other major flaw is that the bike rack is around the side of the bldg making it super sketchy leaving bikes due to the large amount of bike thieves in Denver. MW should be encouraging people riding their bikes there instead of paying for parking. read more

We have been to the Santa Fe site twice and found it amazing so our family was so looking forward to going to the Denver site. Wow, we were all disappointed. Clearly there are amazing talented artists that have produced incredible artworks and spaces (I would give the art 5+ stars) but the Denver experience is utterly confusing, crowded and jolting. There is not much of a story line like we experienced in Santa Fe and we really felt lost and disjointed. My son with a developmental disability got completely overwhelmed in 20 minutes and had to go sit in the car. He hated it but he loves the original in Santa Fe. This one feels like the ultimate consumerism experience, you have to buy an extra card? Why isn't it included with the $50 price? It was all very confusing. Parking is expensive and not included. The building is huge , but it's crowded with some people who are completely checked out about respecting personal space. I wish you had to pass a self-awareness test before you went in. When we went it felt completely oversold- too many people, couldn't see much because of massive crowds. Yes the artwork is gorgeous but there weren't many interactive rooms like in SF or were broken or closed. Disappointing and not recommended for anyone easily overwhelmed cognitively. If you go to a concert here, be prepare to freeze because the air conditioner is blasting, take ear plugs because the music is way too loud and I like loud music, and if you don't like to stand in one place for a long time, you're out of luck because there is absolutely not a chair in site. Meow wolf is cool to see, not as fun to interact with. It's was difficult to navigate who were employees versus those who dressed in costumes. Unless you're local and can return, there's a lot of complexity to it. As a tourist the exhibit was cool to look at but that's about it, just smidge over priced. I recommend going during the week, earlier on in the day to avoid an abundance of children/teens, and adults on drugs. read more

We went in January on a weekday - it is a very cool place and we were there several hours. We hit every nook and every room (or so we thought) in the time we were there. Paid alot of money for the experience. Went through the labryinth of the place many times to make sure we covered the place and thought we had. We asked the employees on the first floor at the entrance if there were any other rooms that we missed and if they had a map which would be very helpful. No map and they provided no additional information except to say it was a very large place with alot of rooms. A few months later I was talking to a friend who had been about 18 months ago and she mentioned that her favorite area in the entire complex was this huge room where the walls and floors changed colors and as you walked around your body changed with the floor. I had no idea what she was talking about and we had covered every inch of the of the place! I called today and that room is called the Perplexiplex. The employee on the phone said it is on the first floor, behind a wall and "hard to see". So there you go. They really need a map or at least when asked a question on the first floor, employees at least could say "oh have you seen this room?" Disappointed considering that was my friend's favorite exhibit. The staff was very rude. They cram as many of you as they can into the building then strictly enforce the mask policy. If it slips even half an inch they will freak out on you. It seems to be their goal to ruin your experience. They want you to pay $50 + $10 for parking to ruin your time. You are basically paying to be harassed. The amount of artwork really is something to be seen, but ticket prices are ridiculously high. Too expensive!!!There is minimal interaction with the exhibits, which was a bummer. There needs to be a map of where to go or the best route to take. There's zero direction in how to tackle that space and see everything. Based on meeting the first worker, we were under the impression that there would be interaction with actors. That did not ever happen. This place was far too weird for us, but the amount of work to put this exhibit together was definitely impressive. I want to note too that the food place there wasn't great. We had pieces of plastic in our kids Mac-and cheese that could have been dangerous; I pulled a large piece of plastic out of my mouth after taking a bite. read more

So many people jam packed into the building it smelled off the whole time while bumping into people constantly you could barely stop to look at anything. The only thing that would've helped is if we could've drank throughout the building but you're only allowed to chug your drink in one specific room. What a waste of money. Where do I start? First of all the staff is RUDE. My mask slipped under my nose once and I had a worker screaming at me to pull up it up, then he glared at me for a good 5 minutes after and said he wouldn't tell me again. Amazing customer service to threaten paying customers. There is SO much stuff you have to touch, door after door handle- I didn't care to touch my face to adjust a mask with filthy hands. That brings me to my next point... the crowds! WOW. You couldn't see anything with the amount of people. There were kids unattended, actually crawling on the floor as a hazard but they are more concerned with seeing a nose. It's funny that they are so strict with the mask yet allow people in shoulder to shoulder during a pandemic they are so concerned with. Finally, it's extremely anxiety inducing. It feels like a hot, crowded maze. NO direction just following crowds into room after room. I was wondering what we would all do in case of a fire as it wasn't clear were elevators or stairs were. I'd save your money unless you're going for your children who are allowed to do whatever they want. read more

I spent a total of around $60 in total for the ticket, parking, and Q pass that turns the whole experience into a mini video game. A bit of a steep price point, however right as I walked into the room on the left upon entering the building with the interactive lights on the floor and walls I knew I was in for a trippy experience. There are so many rooms filled with different types of art work - as long as you're open minded and enjoy new experiences you'll have an amazing time.
