Ordered a couple times- and finally got a chance to dine in person. Upon sitting down the friendly owner told us about the origin story, how they started out as a food truck selling tacos and then now a sit down restaurant serving Filipino and New Mexican food as well. He then offered us a little sample of the Adobo Consommé. We got the lumpia, pork belly plate and the adobo bowl. Overall things tasted pretty great. My favorite was the pork belly plate. Maybe I am biased but the adobo while good, does not compare to the home cooking I have had the pleasure of experiencing back home in Singapore. Brought home the churros with dulce de leche which tasted delicious too. Side note: there was a 5% service fee which I don't think I was made aware of on the receipt.

My husband and I have been here twice now and had a much better experience the most recent time. We shared: - Prime Brisket Barboacoa Quesadilla - Pork Belly Smothered Taco - Pork Belly Stack - Passion Fruit Limeaid The quesadilla was really good, but it was heavy. I think it's better to have one piece and share it as an appetizer. The smothered taco felt more like chips and queso than a taco, but the flavor was great. The pork belly stack was incredible. If you get one thing, make sure it's this. It melts in your mouth and the sauce is delicious. If you like passion fruit, that drink is a must. We weren't very impressed by the food a year ago, so I'm not sure if the food improved or if we ordered better this time, but we really enjoyed it!

So glad finding a Filipino restaurant! Loved that it was a mix with Mexican food. Service was great, excellent server explaining items since it was my first time. Ordered a few tacos, lumpia, two entrees, and flan for dessert. Also got an amuse bush (pork rind and queso). Overall really good food and can't wait to come back. Favorites were the lumpia, pork plate, fish taco, and flan. Restaurant was very clean as well

Adobo Restaurant & Bar deserves way more hype. It's a New Mexican and Asian-inspired spot that's absolutely killing it, and yes, it's been featured on Netflix for a reason. I came here a couple months ago and have been kicking myself for not talking about it sooner. The food? Incredible. The flavors? On point. The vibe? Chill and welcoming. Here's what we ordered: * Adobo Nachos - crispy, cheesy, with hatch green chile and cholula butter * Brisket Barbacoa Quesadilla - rich, melty, perfection * Sampler - our version had lumpia, wontons, and deviled eggs * Chicken Adobo Birria Taco - yes, with consomé * Carne Asada Taco - classic and solid * Pork Belly Stack - juicy pork belly over jasmine rice with a fried egg and sweet chile sauce (this was the standout for me) * Sopapilla with honey butter * House-made flan * Churros con dulce de leche The pork belly stack was the dish I couldn't stop eating -- seriously, I scraped the plate like it was my last meal. The lumpia was also amazing, and don't even get me started on the desserts. That flan? A total home run. And the sopapillas + churros? Dreamy. If you haven't checked out their restaurant or food truck yet, this is your sign. Go. You won't regret it.

Sneaky good. Hidden treasure. Whatever you want to call it, as long as it is GOOD. The wife and I have been here 3 times, I think the sample size is adequate, and our experiences there thus far have sold me. This is a Mexican-Filipino themed mix place. It is also a food truck that did well enough to become brick and mortar. So glad it did. The award-winning food truck days were pre-pandemic, and the award-winning brick and mortar days are since 2023. We have been there for lunch, end of HH, and dinner. We got to experience the wings the first time there. Huge, awesome tasting wings that are pretty memorable, even in the highly competitive space of my brain that ranks my lifetime portions of wings. Definitely recommend. They have free pool. The asterisk is that the table leans, but it is free, so just let that go after your awesome meal. Maybe just have one extra drink and not notice the slight lean. Anyway, back to the other times. The next time, we got the sampler (mango habanero wings) and I had the pork belly mac and cheese. Aside from the fact that the servings were ample and that I ordered too much food, everything was delicious once again. They were out of the lumpia eggrolls, and my wife's sadness indicated to me that these things must be good (I had never had them). This last time, Alex was our bartender and gave us efficient, personal, and fantastic service. Perfect combo of being there when we needed something with leaving us alone for our time, and giving us food and drink advice as needed. He simply is the type of bartender that makes you want to return...which we will. This time, they DID have the lumpia eggrolls in stock, and they WERE very good. They must have been out the first time because everyone loves them so much. My wife is more the dry rub wing person, but we got those, and I will say they might be my favorite dry rub wings that I have had in a long time. I had a cheap Banquet, and the wife had an awesome tasting ube drink. Looked as cool as it tasted. Wife got the green chili for the other part of our meal and A) loved it and B) had a large enough serving where she had to take some home. I almost got suckered into over-ordering and getting the mac and cheese again, but decided to do the pork belly bites after those large wings. Great call, and these were amazing. I added the jalapeno add-on, and it was a great call. I highly recommend them if you want something to call a meal, but aren't starving, although this place has such great prices that you can also just order a main thing and take the rest home. We finished everything with the incredible ube ice cream things and you CAN'T go wrong by ordering these...and it is another sizable portion for the price and level of taste of the bites. This dessert is magical. Synopsis. This place has grown on me big time. We have never caught live music there, but we assume they have it as there is a small stage. The bar area is great. There are a couple of TV's with sports on, and some varied background music during our visits. They have a small parking lot, so you don't have to park on side streets. The pictures are darker because it was low lighting the last time we were there, and it was a cool, low-key atmosphere for our mood that night anyway. Oh. Almost forgot my favorite part! Ask for the house hot sauce if you like things spicy like me. It was incredible. Pretty hot, but still had a taste that elevated the meal...not just making something hot for hot sake. I highly recommend stopping by here, the food is amazing, the service was great, and see you there...

What a great find! My friend and I had just finished snowboarding and needed some comfort food. This is literally tucked in a tiny plaza at the corner of Speer and Federal. We were the first there, but the waiter was very friendly and informative. He brought us out a small sampler of their pork belly with queso. It was so good that it sold us both on the Pork Belly bowl!! We also ordered the sampler appetizer which was great, because it was both our first time there. We got to sample the lumpia, the fried chicken, and fries. It's an interesting combo of Mexican and Filipino cuisine, but a great combo. The ambiance was quiet since we were the first there, but it seems like they have a full bar and ample seating. Parking is in the back/side, not a lot but enough. I think there's a street in the back where you can park as well. Would come back if I'm in the area!

Great food, super waitstaff! I love the lumpia and pancit! The chicken adobo taco is fantastic!!! I could eat a bunch!

We came here after a friend recommended us this place. We came on a Friday afternoon and the place was well tucked away on the side of the road. We got some tacos and the crispy pork, and some drinks. We definitely will come back to ease our Mexican/Filipino food cravings. The place has great vibes, perfect for friends to come and hangout with good food. The service was great, our server was enthusiastic and incredibly helpful since this was our first time here.

We went here for taco Tuesday (there's a deal!) and it was really good! The queso was perfect and tacos were so good, although a little messy. The pork bel taco is a must! Our service was not good. We were informed when we came in the kitchen was busy due to taco Tuesday, however the restaurant was relatively empty. After waiting to be seated, we did not have a server come over for 10-15 minutes, not even to bring water. The rest of the service continued like this - it took a long time for someone to come to the table for us to order apps, and then again for the tacos, and again for the check. I understand when a restaurant is busy and the staff is overwhelmed, but this didn't seem to be the case. They could have done a better job acknowledging if it was.

    Daily specials - great deals!!

I've had Adobo on my "places to try" list for months, but I'm rarely in that part of town. Well, the opportunity arose this weekend to try them out and I am SO happy about it! Legitimately, this is one of my top ten favorite restaurants in the Denver area right now. Maybe even in the top five. The concept is Mexican-Filipino fusion. You can tell the chef cooks with a true love of the food of both cultures and the intermingling of the two flavor profiles works like a charm. As you'll see from my photos, we ordered a lot of different items. We will often do this at a new (to us) restaurant to get a wider sense of what they have to offer, but we went especially overboard at Adobo because everything on the menu looked so friggin' good! Nothing we ordered disappointed. In fact, we ordered more food to go. The prices are VERY reasonable for the quality and portions. Absolutely no complaints. I also love the vibe of the place. They've cleaned up a dive bar, so there's still a stage and pool table in the back that make it feel like a chill hang out spot. At the same time, the color scheme, lighting, and plants make it feel a bit less divey. The sugar skull mural on the front entrance is beautiful as well. Also, THERE IS PARKING! I'm shocked this place isn't constantly packed. Even though we live in Aurora, we will definitely become frequent visitors to Adobo.

This is was is absolutely phenomenal. Unreal food. The girl working the bar was very helpful. Ordering from the kiosk thing up front was different, but innovate. We ordered the green chile queso dip, adobo nachos, and I'm still dreaming about the papa chile smoke potato tacos . New favorite Denver spot. 10/10

This place is not at all what it seems. It is gem of a restaurant at the corner of 36th and Feds. This restaurant touts a Philippines/Mexican fusion cuisine and it was fantastic. The inside is definitely decorated for a home style feel. We were started with a small, holiday only sample of Grandma's chicken adobo soup. This was delicious and tasty and I would order it all the time if it was on their menu. We also selected the elote and lumpia to start. Both were very good. For an entree, my friend and I decided to split two items since we could not decide- the Grandma's adobo chicken over rice and the Mac and cheese with pork belly. The chicken dish was good-but not as flavorful as the starter sample. The Mac and cheese was also good, but I preferred the dish without the pork belly. The Mac and cheese was delicious on its own. That server was hilarious and fun to be around. I'm glad I got to try this place out and would definitely go again to try more off their menu. The tacos looked amazing as well.

I have been wanting to try Adobo for a while after it made Westword's Top 100 List in 2023 and was on Netflix's "Fresh, Fried & Crispy" Season 1, Episode 6. A fusion of New Mexico and Filipino cuisine, there are lots of creative dishes to choose from. After taking our drink order, our server brought us an amuse bouche- a delicious sample of the adobo broth used to season the adobo chicken. It was flavorful and convinced 4 out of 5 of us to order a dish with the adobo chicken. We ordered the lumpia and elote as our starters. The lumpia was fried perfectly and was flaky and crisp. A must order for any visit. I split the chicken adobo dish and the pork belly mac with a friend - one item From My Lola's side, the other from New Mexican at Heart. The chicken was tender. I wish there was more of the adobo sauce served on the side because the jasmine rice soaked it up and it was too good to not be able to keep tasting. The pork belly mac was cheesy with fresh green chile. Some pieces of the pork belly could have been cooked a little more crispier but it was still a good dish. The space is large with lots of seating and a bar area. The restaurant wasn't very full for a Friday night. Adobo used to run as a food truck. Hopefully their following continues to support a brick and mortar business.

It's also very unassuming. It looks like a very small restaurant on the outside but once you are inside, you'll be shocked to see its good size dining area. This place is all about happiness. I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt. Although I mainly got it for tomorrow morning/lunch I had a hard time quit eating because of its deliciousness. Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Yelping is so much fun. That is why I cannot quit my foodie-ness! What a nice discovery!

Everything is perfection from the delicious food, the outstanding service, and the beautiful decor. I know this sounds like hyperbole but dining here was an experience I'll never forget. Let's start with the food. Everything was perfection. Our favorite was the aguachile de erizo (scallops and uni). The Santa Barbara uni is to die for. I'm not even a fan of uni nor scallops but the dish was so good especially with the aguachile. Do not skip that dish especially if you like a little bit of spicy. The Tostada del Toro was next up. This is the dish that everyone gets here and for good reason. First off, look at all those chives. The tostada shell was amazing with a nice charred taste to it and the aged toro (aged 3-6 days) was so flavorful and melted in the mouth. The burrata con huitlacoche was the most unique burrata dish I have ever had. The combination of the toasted bread, savory burrata, sweet nut crunch, and the unique taste of huitlacoche (Mexican caviar) was so well-done and just all fit so well together. Last but not least, the tres leches. Hands down, the best dessert I have ever had. Not too sweet and just heavenly. Do not skip this. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" after every bite. Second, drinks. I love mezcal. If you are a fan of mezcal or tequila, this place is a must go. I was given a free birthday shot with a side of crickets (I hate bugs but try it, it's actually really good), orange, and wormsalt. We got the Stinger and Colada. I was warned that the Stinger is a love it or hate it drink. I personally enjoyed it but it is very in your face with the herbal taste. The Colada is much easier. Last but not least, the service. Jorge, the sous chef, deserves 6 stars alone. He really elevated our experience which was already great to next level. He took care of us professionally while also being very personable. I would highly recommend getting a seat at the chef's table if you can. If you are celebrating an occasion, trying to impress a date, or just want a phenomenal meal, I can't recommend Mezcaleria Alma enough. I'll be back soon!

We were told to "sit anywhere," but the only clean tables available were high tops and we wanted a booth, so we waited for the busser, who moved at a pace that honestly felt unbelievable. He seemed to be clearing tables one cup and one plate at a time, walking each item individually back to the kitchen. It was painfully inefficient. It was obvious both he and the girl at the bar saw us standing there waiting for a booth to be cleared, but nobody seemed concerned about it. Eventually the table was finally cleared, but then it sat there dirty for a long time without being wiped down. At that point we just sat anyway, assuming someone would quickly come over and clean it once they saw guests sitting there. In most restaurants, that's standard. Not here. After waiting even longer, I finally asked for a rag so I could wipe the table down myself. The response I got back was rude: "Why don't you just sit at one of the tables that's already clear?" That pretty much sealed it for us. The vibe was off from the second we walked in, and you could feel the lack of care throughout the whole place. At that point we didn't even want to order food because it already felt like the experience was headed downhill. We got up and left. Honestly, I'm glad we did. Service and atmosphere usually reflect what's happening behind the scenes, and I had zero confidence the food experience would've been any different. After leaving, we went to El Centro instead and had a much better experience. I'd recommend choosing that over this place any day of the week. Giving people a good dining experience really isn't that complicated. Sometimes it honestly feels like restaurant staff have never gone out to eat themselves and experienced what good hospitality actually feels like. Unfortunately this place completely missed the mark. We won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Everyone working there is such a team. They all greeted us when we came inside and were very attentive. The have a great variety of food but we ordered tacos al pastor and quesobirria tacos. Both were superb 10/10 and we ended up ordering more tacos. We came with children and we were pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant that had more than just 2 high chairs which ended up accommodating more people who came with little ones z the kids menu has a good variety as well and the portions were great! We ended up getting the kids quesadilla and added ground beef to it and they were delicious! I'm so glad this place is so close to us and we are excited to try many more items from their menu, especially their guacamole which looked for good! They're margaritas are also really good, strong but not too strong with good flavor and not overly sweet! Can't wait to go back!

Wow was the meat so soft, juicy, and packed with rich, pork flavor! Absolutely my favorite item I tried! In fact, I can't wait to order these again! The quesabirria tacos were also juicy and the consume is very mild in flavor... perhaps meant to complement the taco? I was hoping for more flavor punches personally. Either way, I would come back here if I find myself in their neighborhood again soon! Thanks for the complimentary chips & salsa as well! The roasty flavors in the salsa were a nice change up! I enjoyed myself and would recommend to all to stop by!

It only took us a few days before my fiancé and I went over to check it out. They have so many deals throughout the week, including brunch, taco Tuesday ($3.99 tacos all day), etc. We have gone several times now, including for Cinco de Mayo (they brought a mariachi band for several hours!) and the food and drinks are always good. Very tasty and fresh, and I will certainly be back! The service is slow at times, but always friendly!

I ordered the Birria tacos (3 per order for $20). My partner ordered 2 vegetarian tacos. Although the birria tacos had great taste, they weren't grilled properly to get that crispy exterior that allows you to pick them up and dip in the delicious beef consommé--the whole point and delight of birria tacos!!!! I had to use a knife and fork, and the exterior of the tacos were overly greasy. So that was disappointing. My partner really liked the veggie tacos, saying they were delicious and filling. The service was prompt and friendly. We loved being able to sit outside on the covered patio and enjoy the beautiful day.
