He has fixed my 2015 truck, that I'm very attached to, given advice on it, done extensive troubleshooting and found a problem instead of charged me 5K. This guy is VERY honest, I just don't feel I have to worry about my truck being there. I can save your life, but fix a simple issue on a vehicle? Nah... it flips me out. Right now, his mechanic has my truck "limping along" so I'm not stuck without, til the crunch man- whom I trust because Brett referred me- can fix it. The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. For a premium brand, this felt like a huge miss in customer experience and brand alignment. The gap between my car and the loaner was substantial and didn't reflect the level of service I expected. I understand loaner availability can vary, but customers should receive a vehicle that reasonably matches the quality of what they drive--especially when returning for a rework. This experience left me feeling undervalued. I even shared my feedback with the team onsite when picking up my car, and the response I received was, "It's a free car" and "Whelp, that is how it is here." That attitude was disappointing and reinforced the feeling that customer experience wasn't a priority. I hope they review their loaner policy and approach to feedback to ensure better experiences in the future.
