I had no idea what to do for repairs and looked around for a well reviewed shop to take on this relatively small job. I found Gerber on Yelp and I have to say, I am phenomenally happy with my experience. Submitting a quote online was super quick and easy. I received a response in a few hours. Later, I submitted a claim through the responsible party's insurance. I was interested that the shop performed their own paint work and was skeptical that they could match my car's unique red metal flake finish. The technician assured me that they do their best but let me know it may be a slightly different shade in certain lighting conditions. I was definitely a bit worried, but it turns out that they did an excellent job. I got a call about a week later that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I was so happy with the results of my repair! The bumper matches the rest of the car perfectly and the workmanship is second to none. I couldn't be more pleased. What's more - they matched their quote within about $50. You just can't beat that. Gerber turned out to be an excellent choice. I kind of wish I got rear ended harder so they could have done more work on the car (I'll be careful what I wish for).

Having taken my cars to PAW for nearly two decades with incredibly excellent results, I had no hesitancy about trusting their award-winning abilities. My insurer (State Farm) immediately approved them, PAW saw me with no delay, and all I needed to do was drop my car off and pay the deductible when picking my Baby up after repairs were timely completed. The friendly and courteous staff made the entire experience stress-free and, as usual, their work was exceptional. I should mention I had PAW detail my S while the repairs were being done. He was patient with me in regards to my drop off/pick up dates (as I am in education full time) and responded to all the questions I had about the process. He was able to actually fix the car for a little less than what the insurance agency paid me out (yay!). Mary was also extremely kind and understanding when my payment wouldn't go through right away. She said that these things happen and continued to work with me until my payment was complete. My car looks even newer than before! Glad I used this body shop.

these guys are great. i stopped by on a snowy day last month because the "check engine" light had…read morecome on in our '96 subaru. i was gonna check the oil but discovered that the hood would not open no matter what i tried. as i drove along, panicking that i was destroying the car by not "checking the engine", dave's auto body was the first automotive shop i saw (it's located at the intersection of keefe, atkinson, and where mlk turns into port washington), so i stopped in for help. after i explained the situation, two guys came out, worked on the car until they could get it open, and even checked the oil for me. when i asked how much i owed them, they said "nothing"! (i am not saying this is what will happen for you..i'm just saying they were pretty good guys). i gave them the 14 dollars i had in my wallet and would have given them big kisses too if it didn't seem kind of an awkward thing to do. i got the oil changed (somewhere else..they are an auto body shop, after all) and guess what, the engine light went out! i haven't ever written a yelp review but thinking back on how these dudes rescued me, i figured it was the least i could do! thanks, dave's.
