The service and food here is wonderful! Also just a beautiful spot with lots of seating, though it does get very busy some days.

This lounge is definitely in the smaller end with limited options. Food or snack selection is limited and not as great. Restroom area is very small. Drinks is nothing special but they do have variety. Service is decent and wasn't overly crowded. Overall not a first choice, but better than being out in the general area.

Lounge is obviously not full, yet still making people wait 45 minutes.

This operation really sucks! It is no longer affiliated with Priority Pass, but is associated with American Express Platinum Card. AmEx should reconsider any affiliation with this place. First off, they have a sign informing folks there is a 45 minute wait to be allowed inside. The employee was rude and said I could get on the wait list with my Platinum Card. This is 100% meant as a deterrent as many folks just give up and walk away. The man who was in front of me was a paying guest and they allowed him to enter. I looked inside, and there were lots of empty seats (No, they were not keeping them empty as covid protocol.) I am reasonably sure they were hoping to fill them with paying guests. OK, so I sat outside and watched a lot of people leave the lounge. And, I watched a lot of people not on the "list" walk up an be admitted. So at about 30 minutes wait, I returned and said "I am on the list." I had to present my Platinum Card again, my boarding pass and my passport. They literally "charged" American Express for my 3 hour time limited admission and I had to sign. Mind you, it is not charged to MY card - it is charged to AmEx corporate for reembursement. And so funny as they claim to no longer be affiliated with Mera Lounges, but the receipt says "Mera Business Lounge" and so does the wifi!!! Once inside, over half the lounge was empty. They have table/service for drinks and snacks. They take away trash, but I never saw them wipe or disinfect a table. I asked for bottle water, which they did not have. Really??? The serve "purified tap water." Ummm.... no thanks. I had chips and guac, which was good! That's my only positive for this place. There happened to be LOTS of families with children traveling on Sunday afternoon. Children were running and screaming. The employees did not ask parents to control their children! So much for this being called a BUSINESS lounge. It isn't. The women's bathroom is disgusting! I am not sure the answer to keeping it clean as it was attended probably every 15 minutes to half hour. The single toilet wasn't flushing. There was urine on the floor around it. The bathroom trash was overflowing with used paper towels. Ugh!!! My flight was delayed 2+ hours and I kept watching the time stamp on my admission receipt. I was pretty sure I would be ask to pay if I overstayed or asked to leave, so I left.

First, this review is specifically for the Mera Business Lounge in Terminal 3. There's actually a Mera Business Lounge in both Terminal 2 and 3 at CUN, but Yelp currently only lists the one in Terminal 2. I was able to use this lounge for free using my Priority Pass on 3/19/19 on my way out of Cancun. The complementary food and drink selection was actually pretty decent for a small lounge like this. The WiFi worked. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms had no lines (the same couldn't be said about the public bathrooms out in the terminal!). But on the other hand, this lounge is small but very crowded. Finding open seating for a group larger than 2 may be difficult. All in all, this lounge is great for grabbing a quick snack/drink and use the restroom before catching your flight out. I would not want to spend more than an hour here due to the overcrowding. All assuming you can get in for free with your Priority Pass. And if you don't have a Priority Pass, it's something like $35 USD per person... which would not be worth it. You'd be better off spending $35/person at a restaurant in the terminal.

Tiny lounge, use Priority Pass to get in. As other reviewers have stated, would not pay separately to enter if I didn't have Priority Pass. Food was a small selection of guacamole, cheese, pate, brownie, veg sushi, salami. The hot food was empty the entire time I was there. Only 2 single stall bathrooms in the entire lounge. Plenty of alcohol- beers, hard liquor, and wines

Small lunch bites - good, fresh salsa!

Was this a nice place to chill out with free Wi-Fi and light food before my flight? Yes. Would I pay $28 to come here if I didn't already have a membership? No. This is a REALLY small lounge with lots of families cramped everywhere. The left and right side are divided by a makeshift "bar" (liquor on the counter) and a tip jar. Also on the counter were a selection of cold wraps, salad, and fruit. There are dispensers of mint and pretzels. At the hot bar, two chafers featured quesadillas, rolls, and delicious mini tosadas topped with pulled pork. There is plenty of pico and pickled red onion because Mexico, duh. I'd say one of the best qualities of this lounge is the gigantic cooler stocked with plenty of coke products and beer. The restrooms are single stall, tiny, and busy. After reading great reviews of their massage chairs, I actually walked around the lounge in search of them. I think they're no longer there. Overall - come if this is included in a membership for you; don't pay the $28 if you're not a member.

Great lounge, first time there and it was nice clean. Lots of finger food to enjoy, great coffee and the basic alcoholic beverages. This lounge is available to you through the American Express card. Otherwise you pay $53 to get in. Wi-Fi was of course available and the lounge is located passed the security.

Our trip to Playa Del Carmen included a stop at the Mera Business Lounge at Cancun International Airport. Considering the MANY low reviews, Brad, Beverly and I headed into the club with minimal expectations. All of us were happy with the food selections, as they were better than pretty much any US domestic lounge. Fun fact, I am always overly pleased when a complimentary sparkling wine is available at ANY lounge. Drinks were flowing, staff refilled our cocktails and maintained the cleanliness of the club at all times. We arrived during the "busiest" time of day (4-6PM), which wasn't all that bad and never felt overly crowded during our two hour retreat. Minus one star for the bathroom situation. Seriously, one stall in each bathroom? That's a serious joke and needs to be addressed.

A nice lounge at the Cancun airport. They have a good selection of food and drinks with very attentive service - clearing plates and offering drinks. There are comfy places to sit and plenty of outlets.

Very busy lounge. Food options are limited but the staff tries really hard. I would not Pay for this luckily I have a lounge access card. Lots of liquor options from a tiny bar. Better than nothing but not worth money.

Delta's is top notch. Mera is very much meh and a bit of ick. The good: so much quieter than being in the general terminal at the airport. Food & beverage is complimentary with your $50 usd entrance fee. We figured we would pay that for food and drink at the nearby Margaritaville but since the hotel made us get to the airport 3 hours early and we were through customs quickly we wanted a comfortable place to chill. The WiFi is great and part of the entrance fee. Bathrooms are clean. Good selection of food but not high quality. The bad: could not find any water, anywhere ever. All sorts of liquor, soda, juice, etc. water no where to be found. The furniture it dirty and gross. It's just stained and worn from use. The team is diligently cleaning and tidying but they can't fix what is worn and stained. Bathrooms are soooo small. 1 person can go in and it's cramped. If I were to suggest this to anyone; it would be for the peace and quiet and WiFi. Don't go in expecting the delta experience or high quality food or drinks.

I recommend getting a pass ahead of time on a site like Expedia or TripAdvisor because the walk in line can be long. The place is clean and the staff is friendly but it's not VIP or luxury in any possible definition. The seats are slightly more comfortable than the regular airport seats. The WiFi is good and the drink selection is decent. The biggest problems include the crowds, the cheesy music and the lack of wall plus to charge your devices. The food is pretty mid. Everything is way too salty and sweet. It's borderline inedible. Is it worth $35-45/pp? Barely.

You land and enter on one side of the airport and arrive, enter, and depart from the other. This makes things pretty easy for customs and such. There are three terminals now and another one is being constructed as I type this review. Our driver told us all about it on the way back. Very chatty dude! I had been warned about all of the predatory tactics by the taxi and ride folks outside so I was prepared and not bothered by them. If you come here, take note of this. You can and will get scammed if you allow yourself to become a victim. Luckily we had prearranged the rides and were looking for very specific attire as well as signs for us to find. Just note this as others have said over and over. I will say it again for those in the back! There are tons of people waiting out front trying to get you to use their services. Those services vary a great deal in scammy/usefulness/end up dead in a ditch. Don't do the last one. No Bueno. My departure was interesting as we did not know what gate we were going to until about 10 minutes before boarding. Luckily the place is not that big so it was not an issue. We got there a couple hours early when we were leaving. There is plenty to do and lots to see while here. Have no fear! Consumerism is alive and well in Cancun Mexico! The whole place runs on it! Margaritaville is always a good time if you partake in the libations. They have a Guy Firebird or whatever there too. The duty free is only a deal because of reduced taxation. I found the items to be slightly higher than normal retail, at least for liquor. All in all it did what I needed it to do. Fly in, fly out, not get searched on the way in, or the way out. Not sure if I will come back to Cancun or not. I may have had my fill. We will see if I can score another 100% paid vacation next year for work! If so, I will see you again Amigos!! If not, it will be ok! ;) '26 - 51

The first thing you notice is how long the walk is after getting off the plane. The hallway seems to go on forever, so hopefully you do not need a restroom right away because it is a trek. Customs itself was surprisingly easy. We scanned our passports and got through pretty quickly, although the machines seemed pretty finicky and took a few tries for some people. The biggest downside is what happens after customs. The second you walk through, it turns into nonstop sales pitches. First, you go through duty free where it feels like every few feet someone is trying to stop you to buy something. Then after clearing customs and declarations, you walk into another area packed with people trying to sell tours, hotels, transportation, and excursions. Finally, once you make it outside, you are greeted by what feels like a thousand taxi and transportation companies all trying to get your attention. There is even a Ray-Ban store with crazy prices (think Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer sunglasses Gen 1 for $700 when Sunglasses Hut USA retails them for under $299). There are lots of Mexican souvenir shops, but also with crazy prices. Tshirts were in the $32-$42 range. Even fridge magnets are $7+. There is ALWAYS a line for restrooms.
