Grandkids got some goodies too, butter cookies. The conveyor belt that comes out of the overhead wall the pita breads come out of wasn't moving, hope it's not broken. That's a mesmerizing sight to see fresh pitas descending and all puffed up. We grabbed a few frozen food items for our use.

It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.

I have visited Hare Repair three times and each time I know they could have easily recommended a more complex repair (or just charging more) and I would have said yes because I didn't know better but every single time, they told me exactly what the issue was and it was a lot simpler. The final experience is why you should choose Hare. I took my car in because I was experiencing rough breaking (felt like there was a pebble stuck between the brake pad and rotor) and the ABS light kept coming on. Since I did not want to risk a braking problem, I took my car in. They checked it out and realized I just needed to replace my ABS sensor and it was covered under the warranty that Hare gave me with my previous repair. I had no idea and was prepared to pay hundreds and instead left with a repaired sensor without paying a dime. Take your car here and you'll be taken care of.

They have something for almost everyone, and the sheer size and variety of the place were quite a sight to see. The outside was packed with an impressive number of gas pumps (almost all of which were fully occupied when we visited), with freezers full of bags of ice lining the storefront and even branching onto the side. Once inside, there was so much to look through: home goods, jerky, candy, drinks, instant coffee stations, ICEE machines, fresh fruit, freshly made fudge, sandwiches and wraps, nuts, baked goods, Buc-ee's branded products, gift wares, Texas souvenirs, toys, and so much more. I had a hard time deciding what to get with so many options! We ended up leaving with some candy, an ICEE, gift shop items, Buc-ee's branded products and merchandise, and their chopped brisket sandwich. And honestly, the chopped brisket sandwich was much better than I expected from a gas station. The brisket was tender, juicy, and fairly flavourful. I went in with tentative expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was! The bathrooms were impressively large, clean, and surprisingly private, which is always a huge plus during a road trip. The store itself was fairly large, clean, well lit, and well stocked, with plenty of staff around if you needed help. It was genuinely fun to walk around and explore everything. This location also had EV charging stations. A few Buc-ee's rules to note: No transports and large commercial vehicles. No leaving your vehicle for extended periods (although I didn't see an exact time limit posted). No napping in your vehicle in the parking lot. (List is not comprehensive) For food hours, breakfast runs from 4:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with the transition to lunch taking place from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Their BBQ starts at 11:30 AM and runs until after midnight. It was a little crowded when we visited around 9PM on a Sunday, but I can understand why, and I can only imagine how busy it must get during prime travel hours. Overall, my first Buc-ee's experience was a lot of fun! We spent around an hour and a half perusing everything there. There was so much to see, eat, and explore, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I highly recommend making a pit stop at Buc-ee's if you get the chance!
