    Refreshing lemonade
    Deb F.

First visit here and did not know what to expect. Heard rave food reviews. This is definitely a dive bar with excellent food. Bartender attended to us for drink and food order at the bar. She was very friendly and efficient and set us up at a booth. My husband was worried that we would have to wait in line but we were the only ones in the small dining room and there were about 6 people at a bar that maybe seated 12 at 5:45 pm. On a Wednesday. OMG- Ate 2 ribs out of 1/2 rack and 5 of the 6 shrimp and about 1/2 cup of the large bowl of au gratin potatoes. $52 for the two meals including our lemonade and to go boxes that will turn into at least 5 for us. They advertise on their Facebook page that they charge $1 for a takeout box. My meal consisted of 6 large butterfly shrimp with a delicious light breading and shrimp sauce on the side. This was a meal in itself. The 1/2 rack of ribs were falling off the bone tender. Very tasty and an xtra side of bbq sauce came with it but was not needed for the first round. I packed up the extra sauce for leftovers. The large bowl of au gratin potatoes were cheesy and laced with bits of bacon and could be its own meal. Even the Texas toast, coleslaw and lemonade were tasty. My husband had the prime rib - a special on Wed and Sat.- covered with mushrooms and onions, With 1/2 rack of ribs, Texas toast, coleslaw and a large baked potato was too much for him to handle and over half of it was packed up for leftovers. One of the staff who brought us our takeout boxes mentioned she can make a meal of the Texas toast and au ju so I packed up my husband's au ju to finish off my Texas toast when having leftovers. He ordered his prime rib medium rare and it came out perfect. His large baked potato was perfectly soft so it was easily cut and squished open to hold butter and the large side of sour cream. We will definitely go back for this meal but also noticed the giant cheeseburger a patron at the bar was eating and want to come back to try the other items on their menu. I give it a 4 star only because I want to try more menu items and see if everything holds up to a 5 star rating. Service was fast and friendly.

Get there early or you'll end up waiting. Don't drink? Too bad; if you don't get there early, you'll wait. Salad bar (which I love), not here. Muddled old fashioned, not here. Cozy atmosphere and solid customer service, definitely in the right place. We arrived with a veteran couple. They got us there early, understood the ordering routine and found us a place to sit. We ordered appetizers and drinks. Definitely get the onion rings as they are incredible! Drinks were solidly poured and reasonably priced. We ordered and were surprised by how quickly we were seated. The vegetable tray and bread basket were good. Our meals came out shortly after we were seated. The salads were nice sized and the blue cheese dressing with crumbles was great. Our entrees (ribeye, tenderloin with chicken, prime rib and fish) were all sized nicely and prepared as ordered. My dining partner said the chicken was some of their all-time favorite. My ribeye was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Our dining partners loved their choices. Overall, I'd really like to give 4.5 stars, but my pals at Yelp still don't trust half stars. We all enjoyed our experience and will definitely put this on our list of supper clubs to return to!

Later on your table server comes and gets the order from everyone that will be at the table. In a few minutes the server returns to take you to your table. You pay your bar bill and head to the dining room. The table is already set with bread and the relish tray. Entrees were ordered while in the bar, so now you have some time to enjoy your company and cocktails. Between four of us we ordered the BBQ ribs, an 8oz filet, the Lemon Pepper Baked Salmon and the prime rib. All were very good but not great. I would pass on the haystack onion rings. Kind of undercooked and messy. Wisco is a very legitimate supper club, you'll have a good time.

Of the choices, The Wisco stood out because of an all you can eat ribs special on Thursdays, so I stopped there along the way. It's crazy how much food they give you that's not even a part of what you order. They brought out a relish tray containing carrots, celery, crackers sticks, and homemade chips (pieces of fried tortilla) with dip/spread options including ranch dressing, liverwurst, and a brick cheese spread from a local cheese maker (which was particularly great). There was also a small loaf of bread, pickled beets, and a cup of pasta salad. With my meal I got a side salad and upgraded my potato choice to their Wisco Fries, which are seasoned potato wedges covered with alfredo sauce and bacon bits. In retrospect, I'd rather just get wedges and have a side of the alfredo to dip them in as the wedges did get a little soggy under the alfredo. By the time the ribs came I was getting pretty full. I managed to eat the first plate and only got one reorder consisting of two bones. Parts of the ribs were on the dry side, but for the most part they were good. Note, they did come to the table with sauce already on them. Although much farther off Hwy 41 than I was anticipating, I enjoyed my meal at The Wisco and would make the trip out there again, especially to try their all you can eat fish fry.

Decided to sit on the patio, the scenery, flowers, multiple waterfalls were phenomenal. Almost immediately after sitting down our waitress, Brianna, was at our table. Linda ordered Monterrey Chicken, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Salads came in a few minutes and almost as soon as we finished the meals were served. Food was delicious, both of us have leftovers . Service was exceptional and the owner even came over to chat with us. A GREAT experience that will be repeated in the future. When it comes to breakfast, I like mine simple and basic. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, English muffin or toast. There may be other offerings, but this is my go to/comfort zone. I at first wasn't going to get the buffet, but when I noticed how they made sure the offerings were always fresh and not just sitting on a warmers, I decided to give it a try. Everything was hot and fresh! The scrambled eggs were not lifeless and flat, for lack of better words they were fluffy. The hash browns were amazing too. I'm going to skip over to the breakfast sausages and bacon. Truly Amazing, the best I've ever had. I must admit that I did return to the buffet for an additional serving of both. It took much self control not to keep returning and continue grazing on sausage links and bacon. I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet and wish you luck on portion control.

We chose 5:00 on a Friday thinking they wouldn't be too busy yet, and there were plenty of tables available. My wife and I had the same thing, a glass of Malbec, the chopped salads, the pork shank with mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts, and the cast iron cookie with ice cream. Everything was delicious, and very plentiful. Service too was outstanding. Absolutely the finest restaurant in the Wisconsin Rapids area. We enjoy The Dirty Oar and the supper clubs, but Aldo's food is far superior.
