We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

The facility is spotlessly clean, which gives me total peace of mind when leaving my pet there. It's also in a super convenient location off US-183, easy to get to from Leander and surrounding areas. What really sets them apart is the 24-hour staffing--they provide round-the-clock care for boarded animals, so I never have to worry about my dog being alone overnight. We've used them for both daycare and overnight boarding multiple times, and it's been a fantastic experience every single time. I highly recommend Paws Landing for anyone looking for reliable, loving care for their furry family members!

We do have to travel frequently and Action Pack has become a 2nd home. We no longer live in Liberty Hill (we actually live 2 hours away, and do the drive and plan all flights around ensuring we can bring our boys here). One of our very first stays our older dane had a health emergency, we didn't even see the issue prior to dropping off and within a couple of hours we got a call from one of the staff and they managed that visit end to end for us. They got him to an emergency vet, stayed with him for awhile, then once he was hydrated and well did the driving to pick him up, and then adjusted his care for extra attention once onsite. Our two boys are vastly different in age and play needs, and pretty joined at the hip - they modify the play for our older boy, even when they have a yard full of dogs, they can tell when he's reached his limit and just needs quiet. They are so attentive to know that our younger boy was struggling without the other and got them back together again. Here we are 2 1/2 years later of using them soley and when we arrive our boys eagerly hop out of the vehicle and run in and then anxiously await to go back to play. We have used other places and have watched our dogs panic and put the brakes on and refuse to go through the door. They have absolutely never hesitated here. So grateful for the care and attention they place on our fur family!

I am extremely disappointed with our experience…read more Our dog is a very anxious dog, but she has never shown aggression toward people or other animals in our care. After boarding her this time (we've been customers there for years), we were told she displayed behaviors such as growling and was no longer welcome to return. What I find most concerning is that this facility also promotes dog training services, yet there was no effort to discuss what may have triggered her behavior, offer recommendations, suggest training options, or work with us on a plan for future success. Instead, we were simply told not to bring her back. I fully understand that any boarding facility has the right to make decisions based on safety concerns. However, anxious and fearful behaviors are not uncommon in boarding environments, and I expected a business that offers training services to have a more knowledgeable and supportive approach. As pet owners, we trust boarding facilities to care for our dogs during what can already be a stressful experience. Rather than feeling supported, we left feeling judged and dismissed. If your dog struggles with anxiety or fear in unfamiliar situations, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those behaviors are assessed and managed before booking. We'll gladly be taking our business elsewhere and won't be back with our current dog or any future dogs.

There are two things that make it worth the 40-minute round trip drive for me to bring my pets here…read moreinstead of a closer vet's office. The first is the pricing: they are very reasonable, especially in comparison to their competition. The same procedures at other vets, which I visited before finding Zoot, cost anywhere from $50 to $150 more. The second reason is their efficiency. I timed my most recent visit, in which I brought in a sick dog that needed an exam, shots, and a heart worm test. They had me in the exam room at the exact time my appointment was scheduled, the doctor immediately walked into the room, after the thorough exam the vet tech was instantly there to administer the shots and give the heart worm test, when I walked to the front desk the already had my bill ready to pay and the paperwork and prescription ready for me, and from the moment I walked into the building until the moment I was back in my car it took 17 minutes. And my dog is now back to 100% health. I have literally never had a more positive experience at a vet's office.

It's been almost a year since the incident, but I'll remember it, unfortunately, for a long time. I encountered every cat mom's nightmare when a large rattlesnake showed up on our Catio not two feet from my cat. In doing everything I could to save both of us, I kept my girl from getting close or fleeing into the road. I was scratched up and she was too scared for me to look her over properly. I worked at Zoot at the time and had worked there for nearly eight years. I believed I knew the clinic well and the staff, and trusted they would care for my baby. I was in a tense situation myself, unsure how badly I'd been scratched in the chaos. There was blood drying in my hair and my hand was shaking while I drove to the facility. I had called ahead of time and let them know the situation and how I did not know if my cat had been bitten. When I arrived, I was met at the cat and told to go somewhere else. I panicked and pleaded with them. I would happily take her to an ER if I knew she had been struck and nothing could be done here- but I just needed peace of mind and all my credits were there so if there was a large fee than we would have the means to do whatever she needed. I pleaded, shaking still from the adrenaline and was finally allowed inside. The vets and techs were all busy, but I was placed in a room to wait with Nebula. Thankfully two techs I knew were working that day. However, neither were informed of my situation, only that an owner was here that needed to go to the ER instead. I was told the vet would not see me, and would not enter the room. I want to say there was incredible courage and empathy on the past of my friends Jacob and Jenny. Jacob ended up taking time out to help me look over my cat (who had no puncture marks). He also let me borrow a thermometer to check and make sure. I had medical training before, so I knew what to look for. I wish the story ended there, but after I lost sight of Jacob, I was allowed to clean up in the sink blood pouring down my face. It all caught up with me and I started crying. Everyone around me gave me so much space I felt like I didn't even know where I was. The vet who has refused to even enter the room where I was, came by when I was washing my wounds. I am not sure her conversation but she was laughing right next to me while I was crying. Never said a word to me. My friend, a fantastic vet tech there, Jenny, finally came over after not realizing what had happened or been allowed to check into rooms not assigned to her. I don't really think I was assigned at all to be honest. She personally tended to my wounds and made sure I had medicine. I took off the rest of the day, and while many signs happened before, this was the one that really let me know I shouldn't be working for a facility like this. I felt like a stranger, and a burden, to a place I had worked at for seven years. I know clients there were treated like that too, but client or not, it was traumatic to feel no empathy around me except for my friends and some of my co workers. After I spoke with our hospital manager, who was very gracious and kind about the situation- I only received an apology from her. I unfortunately saw no change the remainder of the weeks I was there. I will always trust Jenny and Jacob, as well as my regular vet that wasn't there that day- Dr Davis. All have intense desire to see pets happy and healthy and they have compassion for the humans who care for them I don't believe this was any one person's fault. It's more a collection of the twisted ideals in the company that would place secondary comfort over primary care of both animals and people. An underlining rush and speed to finish every room, instead of seeing the pet and person before you..... I hope nobody has to go through what I went through that day

Reason for this review: There's obviously a lot of trust involved in letting people take care of your pets and access your home. We have 100% confidence in Melissa and her team and want to share our experience because - when we were looking for long-term pet sitting - we didn't have any recommendations to help us. Five-star details: 1. Outstanding Communications. Melissa is always available, including by phone, text, and email. She does what she says she is going to do. We've spoken on the phone & Melissa has a great app which gives you updates and photos of your pet! 2. Genuine Caring. On our most recent trip, the weather got cold. Melissa's team members worked with us to turn on our well heater, ensure our pup was kept warm and cozy, and gave us detailed updates and photos. 3. Going Above & Beyond. Melissa called me about the cold weather to alert us in case we didn't know it was going to be below freezing and to ensure our pet was fully taken care of. Her team actually plays with your pet, spends real quality time, and ensures your pet feels loved. They brought our dog extra treats which was incredibly thoughtful because our dog is a senior citizen - and they actually know about dogs so they brought treats that are great for his health as well as being yummy!

I was told they hadn't even started working on my two dogs but they where about to in a little bit because they where backed up . So I call at 5:22 to see how much longer being that they close at 5:30 and was told they where still backed up and hadn't started on my dogs yet and also they would be done in a while . Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?

This isn't just gross; it's dangerous. Secondhand smoke isn't only harmful to humans, it's been proven to cause serious health issues in dogs, including respiratory problems, allergies, and even cancer over time. The fact that the employees think this is acceptable shows a complete lack of professionalism, common sense, and basic compassion for the animals in their care. If they're this careless about something as obvious as keeping toxic smoke away from dogs, what corners are they cutting when no one is watching? I would never risk leaving my dog here. There are far better facilities that actually prioritize the health, safety, and comfort of the pets they're paid to protect. This place is a hard NO for any responsible pet owner.

Enter Hounds Town. Yesterday was our first day: my boy got a full day of daycare, where he was able to socialize and play with six other dogs around his size. He also got a bath (with a blow-dry and the cutest branded bandana ever, which is perfect for my obsessive dog-mom scrapbook). While I did qualify for their lovely first-visit-free promo this time around, even if I hadn't the price for both of those would have STILL been cheaper than what I usually pay for just his bath. Overall, prices are extremely reasonable and competitive with other animal care facilities in the greater Austin area, but honestly I've tried quite a few places and it just feels like you get *more* at Hounds Town. The staff clearly love animals, and their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. I really can't understate the amazing impression I've gotten of this establishment, just from the first day! My boy came back to me relaxed and happy, with no signs of stress or anxiety. They've definitely earned a regular customer in us.
