Honesty and Competence are VITAL when you trust somebody with your family's auto safety. We've been going here for 7 years now. It's a good feeling to have this kind of confidence when you drive away, knowing your car's been expertly taken care of AND you have NEVER been misled or 'ripped off' like many auto places just seem to do.

This year, I knew the check engine light was on and knew it was a MAF issue since I have a code reader. They didn't bother trying to clean it the "affordable" way, they just replaced it. Okay, I guess since it did get fixed Apparently, it still wouldn't pass emissions. I was told it was running rich due to debris causing an injector to remain open longer than it should. No idea which one was the culprit so all had to be replaced. I guess there are people out there who will believe that bullshit. I knew it was bullshit. I was told they sampled the fuel in the tank and it had debris. Duh. Find a fuel tank in a 2013 truck that doesn't have crap in the tank. That's what filters are for!! $500+ to drop and clean the tank and then I'm told the tank has baffles so likely wasn't fully cleaned. How convenient, eh?? I just needed to get it inspected so it was drivable. I recently had surgery on my shoulder so I wasn't able to work on it myself. I knew the tank cleaning was bullshit but figured maybe it would get it over the goal line. The final straw was being told I needed 8 new fuel injectors for a total of $1700. I was told the injectors were $193 each. I can get OEM injectors from Rock Auto for $66 each. I can get aftermarket refurbs for $37 each. Needless to say, I did NOT have the injectors replaced since the truck ran great and there was no indication whatsoever of a fuel problem. I took the truck to Champs in Creedmoor who I trust implicitly and it passed inspection as is. Apparently, Champs didn't find a $1700 injector problem. I will NEVER bring a vehicle to this shop again! I don't know if the front desk guys get commissions for repairs but it would explain a lot base on the amount of money I've spent there. I'm only sorry that I had to give them 1 star. My preference would be 0 stars. I'm not some dipshit who has never turned a wrench. I've worked on my own vehicles for 40 years. My surgery made this one impossible. I now know who I can and can't trust.

** LOOKING FOR HONEST GOOD MECHANIC - KEEP LOOKING! ** First…read moreoff, I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience at Finn's Garage. I took my wife's SUV for a squeaky brake. Finn said I needed a complete brake job, which I agreed to doing. Afterwards, I took the car back to Finn three times because of a bad burning smell. He couldn't figure out what was happening. The last time, he said my front calibers were locked up and he has never seen anything like it. So he removed my front OEM calibers and charged me to replace them with aftermarket ones. In addition, my new pads and rotors were destroyed, so he charged me to replace those again. The burning smell continued so I took it to a different mechanic. What he discovered was shocking.. Finn installed the front brake pads in backwards, the inner and outer pads have different thicknesses so by installing backwards, one side of the pad was always locked up. Finn put my wife and kids at risk for weeks.. I went back to tell him what the other mechanic found and showed him the pictures, but him and his wife got nasty and refused to take ownership or offer any apology. They said they did nothing wrong and I'm the one that made the mistake by taking it somewhere else to look at it instead of bringing back to them. Keep in mind, I went back multiple times to have the issue corrected. They charged me to replace OEM calibers that were perfectly fine (never got back), two additional sets of pads, and another rotor. They refused to refund me ANY of my money. They asked me to leave their shop and never come back when I asked for a refund. I had to dispute some of the charges with my credit card company. I attached pictures of the rotor/pad to show how the brake pads were CLEARLY labeled "Inner" and "Outer" right on them, but you can see that the outside of the rotor has the "Inner" pad installed on the outside. This was a miserable experience, both for me and my wife. I couldn't believe the level of incompetence and deniability. If I was able to leave a lower star rating, I would. ***** PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE *****

My Car maybe cool for now, but I'm still Steaming!!!!…read more I dropped my car off Tuesday June 26th, 2024 and explained that my car was overheating and blowing hot air. They could not see my car that day, but scheduled me in at 11am on Wednesday. CLAS did not get to my car to see the problem until Thursday. I patiently waited for days since the Jennifer (the office rep) stated they had 1-2 mechanics working. I understood and due to the heat I figured it would take awhile. Thursday I spoke with James and he stated that I needed a new thermostat and a coolant flush. Long story short, I got my car back Friday 6/28 and within an hour my car red coolant temperature light, windshield wiper light and engine light was on. It was like I was back to square one! My car started to steam and stall. I called CLAS and called Jennifer who stated that they will be there Saturday 6/29 between 8am-12pm. They did not show up at all. There was a sign on the door that they will be on vacation starting 7/1. I called numerous times. I could not leave a voicemail due to it not being activated( I wonder why). I drove my car a little without the air and it overheated within minutes. I waited til everything cooled down and checked my fluid levels. Ya'all! There was no antifreeze or windshield wiper fluid. Per Jennifer she stated that the owner looked at my car‍The way this experience has been going he probably did not put in a new thermostat either. Now they on vacay with the money I paid them and I have to wait til they come back on July 8th to discuss the matter. -Nena Smiley

It's been on my mind to write another review from an unscheduled stop right after Christmas. My daughter hit something with her car and broke an aftermarket rim. She's in college a few hours from home and needed to get back after her break. I had a new wheel ordered and paid for overnight delivery but could not find anywhere to install it. Every where was closed. I stopped by here and happened to run into an amazing gentleman that saved my entire day. The shop was closed but he was working on his personal vehicle for a trip to go see his daughter in college from what I remember. He opened the shop to remove the old rim and tire and mount the brand new setup for us. I have thought about this quite a bit and I'm always so thankful every time I go by and think about that day. An extremely kind gesture that saved so many things going wrong that day. I had a wonderful conversation with him as well. He stuck with me and helped me and I just wanted to Thank him and the wonderful family oriented establishment. They are incredible people and he didn't even charge us. I wanted people to know how great this place is and send as much business as possible their way!!!

This service center helped us resolve a significant engine malfunction with our 16-year-old car…read more While I recommend them for technical competence and professionalism, they are wildly expensive. After a timing chain misdiagnosis from another garage--and an insane repair estimate of over $6,000 for timing chain, plugs, and ignition coils--I started calling around and one place recommended a specific mechanic at Christian Brothers who specializes in Infiniti vehicles. I had it towed here, and the mechanic correctly diagnosed the issue as a failed ignition coil--not a timing chain. That correct diagnosis saved me literally thousands. While Christian Brothers Auto. was my "hero" in this instance, it was definitely a "high-cost hero." This place is wildly expensive and arguably overpriced compared to most independent shops. It is my understanding most garages mark parts up about 100% over retail (e.g., a $16 spark plug bills for $32). Everything here was well over 100%, in some cases closer to 400% (e.g., charge $425 for a $115 Hitachi ignition coil, spark plugs over $50 each). I asked for an adjustment on the pricing, and they refused. Also, while many garages will give credit for a diagnostic fee (already higher than most at $199) toward the cost of repairs, Christian Brothers will not. In summary, while I was ecstatic about their correct diagnosis, I was less than enthused about their gold-plated pricing for the work they performed. I strongly recommend Christian Brothers if you have a hard-to-identify issue (at least on an Infiniti), but I would avoid for most routine maintenance, as they are far too expensive.
