Where do I start! Meredith Marina is one of the best "First Class Marina's" in the area! The entire crew including Alex, the owner and all the girls who work in the store are very friendly and go out of there way to help you out! When launching or taking your boat out of the water the crew goes way out of there way to help you out as well. We had a problem with the bilge pump in our boat not working during those recent crazy rain storms. Alex and the owner made sure the water level did not get to high in the boat and pumped the water out several times! read more

Our family had our first vacation at Mills Falls in Merideth, NH. We were all so excited because it was my mom, us 6 children and our spouses. We rented a Pontoon Boat from Meridith Marina for 3 days. We had a fantastic vacation all the way up until we returned the pontoon boat. John Abear, the Service Manager, found a supposed "Rub Mark" on one of the supports and gave us a bill for $ 2,989.00! We explained we never went near any other vessels and had the boat tied up by itself at the private Mills Falls dock. We explained this to Mr Abear, but it did not matter. One of our members is an insurance adjuster and runs into these types of situations often. He attempted to discuss that fact that most organizations will hire a company to buff out the "Rub Mark". Mr. Abear dismissed the thought immediately. We got 3 quotes from other marina's. The prices to repair the rub mark ranged from $ 385 to just under $ 900. Mr Abear again dismissed the results of our efforts immediately. A wonderful Once in a Lifetime vacation was tainted by an unscrupulous Mr. Abear at Meredith Marina. Mr Abear has a real racket going. He charges unsuspecting people for the boat rental and then comes back and charges them almost the same amount for a blemish on their vessel. Meridith Marina must make almost as much money from damage fees as they do for rentals. I would really like to know if other families have run into the same dishonesty that we experienced. Went to rent a jet ski with kids. People were so friendly. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in the area

WARNING: DO NOT RENT FROM MEREDITH MARINA, IT WILL COST YOU $$$ IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR I WOULD. Me and my girlfriend rented jet skis this past summer as we usually do and decided to go to Meredith Marina this year. Upon picking up the jet ski, we immediately noticed that the jet ski was years old, and already very beat up. There was a young kid who "inspected" our jet ski and didn't know anything about the jet ski as it was his second day on the job. However, the workers assured us that it was fine and we took the jet ski without much thought. It was an unusually rough day on the water and we were banging on the waves the entire day from the roughness of the lake. Due to this, and only to this, we arrived with a hole on the bottom of the jet ski that was resulting in water coming through. This was due to the roughness of the waves and the condition of the 20 year old jet ski, as we didn't hit anything and know the lake very well. Although we assured them of this, they refused to believe that rough waves on an old jet ski could cause this damage. After a simple google search, we found that this can absolutely hurt the jet ski and cause breaks and holes can form. They did not care about anything we had to say and came out with a bill of $1700 with no explanation of how that cost was calculated. The workers could not care less and were quite rude in the process as well adding insult to injury. We refused to pay this ridiculous charge and disputed it with our credit card company where we were luckily won the dispute and were not forced to pay this random amount. Please do yourself the favor of choosing another marina around the area as we have had nothing but great things to say about every single other marina. Although this may be the "cheapest rentals" on the lake, you will end up spending much more on their beat up jet skis that they will give you than getting a new and proper jet ski rental from any other marina. Too bad there isn't a lower rating than one. In the past I've had good experiences with Meredith Marina, but since COVID there are so many new people working there now, I believe things have really gone downhill. My complaint is with their service department. After making an appointment to have my hydraulic steering serviced and driving my boat 80 miles to their store, I was told that new parts (seals) needed to be ordered and that it wouldn't be possible to fix for another few days, at a cost of $200. The service manager believed he could have the boat ready by Saturday. Well Saturday, Sunday, Monday came and went, and when I called back Tuesday to see if they had forgotten me, that was indeed the case and the boat was ready to go that Saturday. Upon arriving to pay for the service, I was informed that the cost was $610, not the originally agreed $200. The service manager said that the parts alone were $250, a price he said he quoted me for the parts when I dropped the boat off (he didn't). When we discussed the bid he provided me, he told me to take my business somewhere else next time. I thanked him for the advise and I'd warn anyone planning on getting service from Meredith Marina to take their business elsewhere. read more

Renter beware! We went to the Meredith marina to talk to and personally reserve a pontoon for a family outing. We were Told they only had one left to rent on the date we wanted. We could not be guaranteed a 1/2 day rental since the full day bookings get priority. So we took the full day rental even tho it was a boat that was also to small to tube behind. The information on rentals is inconsistent from rental agents. We were told that there were no cancellations except for dangerous weather or 72 hours in advance. So we arrived at 11AM -due to a family illness - we were very late. After talking to the staff person who was going over our boat outside I noticed there were 3 pontoons. The boat worker said they were cancellations due to a cloudy day. We said we were told no cancellations or no money back. He said ya. They sometimes refund. I went to ask the desk rental agent, that under the circumstances if we could have the half day rental price. She said that the owner was busy and she would let me know when We returned so that we didn't waste any more time. By the time we were checked in and then driven out to the gas pump and reviewed the boat again with the dick workers. it was well after noon. When we got back at 4 we were told that since we checked in at the desk before noon that we were going to be charged the full day. That's a couple hundred dollars difference!! And we didn't leave them high and dry. We still came to rent. Poor customer service. Inconsistent information. Bad business. No returning customers. read more

We had a problem with our out drive in the middle of the summer. Meredith Marina was very helpful and got the boat fixed very quickly, within a week. The entire staff is friendly and they go out of their way to help customers out. I highly recommend them! read more

My family and I have been to many rental places and none of them have been as good as Meredith! The service is amazing and they got out boat onto the water in a lick of time! They gave us maps, and showed us around the boat itself to help! They never tried to rush us and instead let us take our time to get started and the time it took us to get ready didn't even take off of our time to return! Really good experience! Boat rental- very poor customer service, terrible management. Waited an hour to get boat in and 1 hour to get it out. Equipment not up to date with broken gauge on gas with dishonest charges. Would not rent here again read more

Customer Service was AWFUL. We came here to rent a boat, experienced terrible customer service, and went straight to Thurston's Marina to get a rental. The woman at the rental desk was not at all friendly, surly and unaccommodating for sure. I hope the rest of the staff is better! read more
