Front staff was nice and friendly. The waiting room is not up to date and dirty. I should've turned around and left but the location was idea. Dentists and hygienists were not kind and not thorough. Cleaning was supposedly finished in 5 minutes without even cleaning every tooth. Dentist filled 4 cavities then I went to another dentist due to pain and they weren't actually cleaned out first- just filled over! They were sent the X-rays proving it and they still denied it. They cancelled my appointment without notifying me because I didn't confirm it in time. They text you to confirm your apt, but it also says to call if you have to cancel. Obviously I should've confirmed, but I forgot this time (until the day of). I typed C to confirm in the morning, and the automated message said "thanks for confirming your appointment." When I got there, I found out it had been cancelled because I didn't confirm it at least 2 days prior. Would've been nice to know that before I woke up early and drove up there! read more

Meridian Dental has been by far the worst experience I've ever had for several reasons. I initially went in for a routine cleaning and mentioned that I was experiencing tooth pain. After an X-ray, they informed me I needed a root canal. I scheduled the procedure for Thursday, but by then I had already endured intense pain for two days. After the root canal, they told me it wasn't finished and I'd have to come back on Monday because my tooth was too infected. The male dentist inserted antibiotic pins and sent me home. The pain was unbearable, so I returned the next day, convinced something was wrong. Instead of listening to my concerns, the dentist quickly looked at my mouth and dismissed my worries. He even hinted that I was just looking for narcotics, which was insulting. He advised I take 1000 mg of ibuprofen and 800 mg of Tylenol an hour later to manage the pain. The next morning, I woke up with a massive headache that wouldn't go away. After enduring five hours of agonizing pain, I went to the ER. It took another five hours for the headache to subside, and the ER doctor confirmed it was caused by the root canal. When I returned to Meridian Dental on Monday, after another attempt at the root canal, the dentist told me my tooth was likely cracked--he was 90% sure. To be certain, I would need to see a specialist who could perform a more detailed X-ray. Still in severe pain, I called the specialist immediately from the parking lot, only to be told I couldn't get an appointment for another month. Desperate, I contacted Meridian Dental again, and they scheduled me for a tooth extraction. This was devastating because I take great care of my teeth, and losing one was a big deal for me. Despite my reservations, they made it seem like my only option. The extraction was performed by a different dentist and was excruciatingly painful and traumatic. The dentist explained that I had an abscess, which explained my intense pain. When I asked if my tooth was cracked, she vaguely replied that "it must have been," though I got the sense that she knew she had just removed a perfectly healthy tooth. Now, I'm facing a $5,000 bill for a tooth implant. The flipper tooth I had to purchase in the meantime is uncomfortable, looks awful, and affects my speech. As someone who is very conscious of their appearance, this is unacceptable. To top it off, the pricing was never clear, and I can't shake the feeling that they're running some sort of scam with then clients and/or insurance. The pricing is often conflicting and they want everyone to sign up for the outsourced payment plan. Zero stars. read more

I have been going to this dentist office over 15 years. They have the best dental hygienist Jackie. However the owners of this practice must not think highly of their patients/consumers. They have dirty dingy waiting room furniture. The furniture was nice 15 years ago but now it's just disgusting and insulting to their patients. I've just started coming to this dentist, as my previous office moved out of my vicinity, so I've only had one visit and a cleaning. The highlights are : 1. easily accessible downtown location 2. early (7am) and later (5pm) appointments 3. up to date, somewhat high tech equipment 4. they can make most crowns in house allowing for less wait time The front office staff is pleasant, and I thought my dental hygienist was nice, efficient, and had a gentle manner. The cleaning was good experience. I do have to return for enough crowns to make me the queen of several countries, so I will update my review accordingly. read more

This office is dangerous to its staff and patients. Do not go here. I went inside for my dental cleaning and immediately saw 3 staff not wearing a mask. I was told it's because the owner wants it to seem as normal as possible. Need I mention there is a pandemic going on? No screening of myself was done until I was sitting in the chair. I was told there was no need to wear a mask as I would be taken immediately back to the cleaning room Join my entering. They did not have me wait in my car and call when I arrived. They had me just walk inside. The dentist and hygienist were the only ones I ever saw wearing a mask. I attached a copy of the American Dental Associations recommendations and this company ignored all aside from the last 3 recommendations. I fear what has happened to at risk patients as a result of their negligence. The owner clearly does not prioritize the safety of his staff or it's patients. Do not go here. read more

I called the office to schedule a filling because the filling they did on one of my molars came out. They checked me in right away, did an x-ray, then I sat there waiting to be seen for 40 minutes! When the Dr. finally came in, she said that it was in their "plans" to work on that molar next; basically DENYING that they ever filled the tooth. Like WTF! First of all, they did the work on my whole right side of the teeth - not just one tooth. So to say that they worked on the back molar, skipped the one in front of it, and worked on the next one again is insanely dishonest. Come on - live up to the work you performed! Second, she claimed she was way too busy to fill my molar and asked to reschedule my appointment, like I really had a choice. The thing is, I had an appointment just like everyone else. I waited to be seen just like everyone else. THEY JUST DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE REFILL BECAUSE THEY DENIED THEY DID THE WORK. SMH. Great experience so far for both me and the kids. Staff is friendly and gets you in and out quickly. They seemed experienced with kids without being annoyingly kid oriented. The hygienist was gentle on my mouth. I left with clean teeth and without a headache. The early morning hours are really nice too. The only weird thing about the space is that the rooms are down a long hallway and all the doors are open so you see everyone getting their teeth cleaned as you walk to your exam room. Unfortunately, there are no bike racks on site, but I did find one in the rear alley behind the health clinic with the weirdly small windows next store. read more

If you're in the market for a new dentist, do a little more research before making this your dental home. I'd decided to go here out of convenience and haven't had the best of experiences. I needed fillings done and it was the worst experience I've ever had. I've had fillings done since I was a child and my childhood memories of getting this procedure done has always been pleasant. However, the amount of pain I felt throughout and for at least 24 hours after my appointment should have been my biggest red flag. (I don't know if they were just heavy handed, didn't give me enough novocaine, or whatever). For no reason, should you be on the verge of tears during a filling appointment. But still I let them schedule me for my next cleaning 6 months later. Came back, for that cleaning and of course, they want to X-ray and do exams. They realized the fillings they most recently had done were CRACKED. CRACKED. *insert confused face here* Again, never in my life have ever experienced a 6 month old filling cracking. After that, I went to the receptionist desk to get checked out and rescheduled to get their shoddy work redone. After, going back and forth with them about them not accepting my insurance, they finally realized they did but would need to follow up with me. However, I have not received that follow up. Nor did they get me scheduled for my filling fix. It's been a frustrating time with this office and I plan to find a new office for future dental work. The good? 1. Cleaning sessions were good and my Doc gave me great flossing tips, info about what we were seeing on the monitors, and seemed knowledgeable about her area of expertise. 2. The thing I like best about this place - the convenience! If you live downtown, this is easy to get to and has a parking lot. They have early morning hours (7 a.m. is early to me at least) so you're in and out before work even starts. And because I go early, I never have a wait. I haven't had anything more than cleanings done, so I can't speak to their work very much. My only complaint is the office is a little dated, obviously the building's exterior, but the chairs aren't the newest and show wear also. read more

I REALLY like this dental clinic. They've done work on myself, my partner, a friend, and HER friend too, and we've all had great experiences. The clinic is run by a father and his 2 sons: 3 Dr. Baileys. They all have different techniques for injecting the anesthesia which is nice because you can have it put in however you prefer. I've had my teeth cleaned here 3 times, and the hygienists were really nice. There are TVs mounted over the chairs so you can watch shows OR you have the option of listening to your iPod. It really feels like they are working WITH you to keep your mouth healthy, as a team, and I appreciate this a lot. When my partner got his deep cleanings and his wisdom teeth out, everything went well. He developed an intense fear of the dentist as a child but he doesn't have a problem coming here. One thing of note, they don't use "laughing gas" BUT they can give you a pill called Halcyon or a prescription for anti-anxiety pills to take before your appointment. If you take any of these, you need to have someone drive you home. Makes the dentist totally bearable. I got to watch his wisdom teeth extraction, and it took less than 5 minutes. He didn't have any issues with dry sockets and they called to check on him 2 days later. It's been several months and he's REALLY glad I/they talked him into getting those big useless teeth removed. They also recommended a water toothbrush for him to use, as well as different toothpaste, and he told me "My mouth hasn't been this health since I was 2!" I'm glad they helped him get everything in good shape again. HIGHLY recommend these dentists. They'll really work with you on payment plans, even if you're uninsured. It's very affordable. read more

I am an older guy and PETRIFIED of the dentist. I would not go until it was an emergency and too late to save the tooth. Then I met Meridian Dental and wanted to save what I have left. They told me all of what I needed and offered a pill type sedation. I reluctantly agreed but sensed some confidence in my dentist !! They completed all the work in 1 visit...I slept thru the entire thing I had no pain afterwards and just went back for a cleaning !!! These guys are AWESOME and I absolutely LOVE this place. They are excellent and honest and proved it beyond all my expectations !! I no longer fear but enjoy going to my dentist. This dentist is great if you like being treated like an inconvenience and having your appointments (that you scheduled six months in advance and confirmed again a week prior) cancelled because they decided it was in their best "business interest" to send your hygienist home early due to other cancelled appointments. The past three times I made an appointment, I've been asked to come in significantly earlier. The first time, I was able to accommodate this request. The second time, I was not. They acted irritated but were able to put me with another hygienist at the same appointment time. The most recent time, I was again not able to accommodate coming in earlier due to meetings at work and they told me they'd have to reschedule my appointment...this was the morning of the appointment. I would be willing to forgive this once or maybe even twice but the fact that this has now happened to me three times is unacceptable and I've decided not to return. To top it all off, they've made obtaining my records to send to another dentist unreasonably difficult as well. read more

I Highly recommend this dentist. I went there to have my wisdom teeth removed and was very pleased with the service. While it was uncomfortable, I felt no pain and the doctor made absolutely sure that I was completely numb before doing the work. A week later, they called to make sure I was healing fine as well. I very much appreciated that the office manager, Austin, was very active throughout the office and made a point to meet me personally and introduce himself.
