Our general contractor recommended Scott and Enviro Excellence, and we are very glad he did. As others have mentioned here, Scott was a consummate professional: he was incredibly communicative, on-time, and very, very thorough. We appreciated that throughout the entire process, Scott was more than willing to explain what he was doing and why it mattered. He was required to take a number of samples from throughout our house, but did so in a way that was not overly disruptive and in a way that wouldn't look too bad in the stretch before any holes made get repaired (or completely ripped out). He met all timelines he promised for delivery of the results and was incredibly helpful in talking us through not only the results, but what they meant in terms of next steps around abatement. While we never wanted to get news that we had asbestos that needs to be taken care of, we were lucky to have Scott help us to understand what that meant even to recommend some people who could do the work to clean the asbestos up. I was called by the inspector and also there was a cease and desist order posted on my door until I was able to prove to them that there was no "disturbed" asbestos in either the dumpster or in the house....first thought..."YIKES!" After a few days of pondering my options I looked at yelp and found BuildSafe and gave them a call. The woman who answered the phone (sorry I can't remember her name at the moment) was awesome and gave me a brief description of their services. I was leaving on business trip in 3 hours and she said I might have someone in the area and if so we can check it out today... at that point the phone almost dropped out of my hand....this is Denver any type of activity that involves construction is always 4 to 6 weeks out! Needless to say they did have Blake who is one of their inspectors just finishing a job that was not too far away and he showed up about an hour later at my house. He was incredibly informed and competent at the requirements of what needed to happen with this problem. He took about 10 samples from the dumpster and the house...even spoke personally to the city inspector who wrote the property up about the situation. Immediately sent the samples to the lab and a few hours later I got a phone call regarding what they found. Amazingly quick and efficient. All I can say about this is: This company is well run, they are very personable and incredibly competent at what they do and finally trustworthy...they have you the customer in mind not the idea of lining there pockets with your dollar bills. I highly recommend them for any type of asbestos issue that you may have at your home.
