This is the worst apartment complex ever the lady tried to evict us due to us not paying rent when the shower didn't work. It was roach and rat infested and black mold. She's trying to take us to court now, but in California, your landlord is required to make sure that this infestation is gone within 30 days which they didn't. I moved into a studio where they had to remove a sink from one side of the wall, and it left a giant hole in the wall I had to cover myself with duct tape. Also, Roach infestation in the halls, spiders and mosquitos in the lights in the halls as well, flies coming through air conditioning, water being shut off all the time, door coming off the hinge, ROACHES IN THE WALLS!!! Cooking was impossible because the smoke alarm would go off every second, I kept getting previous renter's mail, spiders coming from the shower drain, the parking gate always open, and the list goes on. Don't waste your money. They stole $200+ from my security deposit claiming it was for a cleaning fee and some holes from where I hung pictures. I left it extremely clean and brought this to their attention, but they have ignored me for three months. It's dirty and not well managed. The amenities are underwhelming. Tenants leave garbage in the stairwells. You would be hard pressed to find a time when there is not dog pee in the hallways. The security guard is never at the front desk at night. All the packages were stolen from the closets where they keep them because it was left unlocked. There were always screaming fights between other tenants that I could hear from my apartment. And my friend's dog got attacked by another tenant's dog on the premises, enough to need to go to the emergency vet. Stay away. read more

I moved in during the summer in an apartment that has a shared bathroom. My roommate moves in later this month. The move in process as well as the room itself was amazing. I completely made it my own and honestly the room exceeded my expectations. I saw a lot of the reviews and honestly as long as you clean before move in you should be fine. The walls are decently thick as well so not a ton of noise gets through. I'm starting school in the spring and having my apartment be so close is a huge game changer. I've lived here for 3 months now and I have enjoyed it very much, my only complaint is that rent is about 300 dollars more than anticipated but honestly still isn't a bad price for this area. In my experience here it's very clean I've seen many cleaning staff sweeping, moping, and cleaning up areas. As long as my roommate keeps the bathroom clean I don't see any major problems with having a shared bathroom but I also grew up with 2 older siblings so I am used to it. We have been without consistent working water for a week. They shut off the water without any form of notice, there has been a roach infestation and the exterminator has not been back since I submitted a complaint months ago. I had a leak in my walls almost a year ago which I reported to the inspector which has yet to be fixed. The walls are not sealed and allows all the roaches to come into your unit. Even if you submit a complaint, the front desk workers and management are so rude yet take no accountability when it comes to this property. I am 9 months pregnant and due to deliver tomorrow. I can't even take a hot shower to get ready for my labor due to the water shut off without notice. This property is HORRIBLE.. all of the reviews that are positive are fake. They don't upkeep this place. It's not safe at all for college students or regular paying residents.. none of the buildings are secured with the fob they give you plus the gates are always open. We have people sleeping in our parking lot. My brand new Tesla was hit the first month I purchased it while parked. When I requested footage, they NEVER gave it to me. The fact that they KNOW they're wrong, promoting false advertising saying 24 hour customer service which is false they leave at 6pm plus the gym closes at 9pm, and have a serious lack of accountability is pushing all of the tenants out of this complex. I'm at the point where I'm reporting them to authorities plus requesting another inspection of the business practices that are occurring here. I lived here for 2 years and have seen many changes in new and returning management. While all the staff were very accommodating to me, the quality of their service definitely deteriorated over time. Though, this review is only going to reflect actual living conditions. On the first look around, it looks like a great apartment-- new floors, updated countertops and cabinets, lots of amenities. But when the pandemic started, those amenities were closed off and yet our monthly rent hadn't been reduced or compensated. Minor issue for me. The main issues I had was the fact that the whole building was infested with cockroaches and rats! Even though pest control would treat my unit, the problem did not go away because the roaches and rats would find their way in from the walls or sinks. I did the roach treatment at least 4x a year and each time I had to pull everything out of the cabinets, basically pack up like I was moving out so that they could spray the cabinets. Then the rat incident happened twice, but we didn't catch it the first time. The second time (2 months later) they had to basically block off my entire kitchen for 2 weeks so that we could trap the rat. It was a blood bath in that cabinet. Then towards the end of my two years, the M building was having constant plumbing issues. There were several weeks where it didn't have hot water to the building due to a leak. They'd fix it, it would be good for a day or two and then the pressure and temperature would go burzurk again. And when the water DID work, it would come out black and speckled out of my faucet! It was super gross. I cried to my mom on FaceTime everyday begging her to break my lease early, but the payout was pretty unreasonable. If you terminate your lease early, you'd have to pay for all the months that remain and the only way out of that is if someone rents your specific unit. I moved out 4 months ago and into a much nicer apartment and neighborhood, and I don't miss Northridge or Meridian Pointe at all! Looking for student housing or simply regular housing AVOID this place at every cost. The negative reviews are real and are extremely accurate. Since the first week I moved in I have had non-stop issues and this is not an exaggeration in any degree. 1. First use of my shower it flooded mid showering. Was told to use a vacant apartment. The issue was so bad they needed to have access to my unit for 24 hours to fix it. 2. While fixing my shower the maintenance guys key broke in my door lock causing them to have to replace it. When the lock was replaced I was not there nor given a key. I received an email from the leasing agent that the key would be left in my mailbox. Upon arrival home after a 6 hour drive I checked my mailbox only to find. NO KEY. I was not able to access my unit until someone finally showed up 2 hours later. 3. I finally get let into my unit I returned to a yellow stained shower and black grease all over my shower handles. Left for me to clean up. After a long drive and an additional two hour wait I couldn't even shower, I had to clean up the mess left by maintenance. 4. After the initial issue with my shower flooding there began issues with water burning me from being so hot or shocking me from being so cold. It didn't matter what I adjusted the temp to this would happen. Contacted the office and was told they'd send maintenance. They finally show up, I was informed the issue was with the shower valves and that they needed to replace them. Maintenance said someone from the office would set this up. Never happened. 5. After the issue with the water temp was not solved within a day or two of that I no longer had hot water in my shower. I repeatedly told the office and was informed someone would show up on Monday, Monday came no one showed up. Instead I received a phone call from the property manager Nahid, who is one of the most incompetent property managers I've ever dealt with asking me when I wanted someone to stop by with no regard to the hot water. The no hot water issue lasted well over a week. 6. During the lack of hot water I also experienced lack of water pressure to the point I couldn't even take a shower. It took me reminding them of my tenants rights for the issue to even get fixed. Well over a week without hot water or even water pressure. 7. My water has been shut off without notice, my electricity goes in and out all the time. 8. My shower door needed to be replaced due to the amount of black mold covering the entire lining of it. Maintenance replaced it but while doing so left mold and a ton of other dirt/grime in my shower. Was told he would send house keeping to clean it up, never happened. I was left cleaning up again after them. 9. ROACHES!!!! This was my final straw. Roaches everywhere. I told them the issue they set up a pest control appointment and informed me they would treat all units above, next and below me, never happened. Said they would follow up and have maintenance reseal the unit to prevent further issues. Not only did Brianna the maintenance manager never follow up but within 24 hours of them treating the unit roaches were back! They were sadly worse than before!!! I had to throw away everything they were on and had been in. Management did nada about this. 10. Blood on walls, trash in hallways, roaches, cigarette butts in all hallways from someone smoking there overnight, liquor bottles in hallways, ALWAYS trash bags in hallway, holes in the walls, pieces of the ceiling hanging from the walls and doors that even work to let you in and so much more. You live here after reading this then you're acknowledging you want to live in filth and in that case just go down to skid row. I've reached out to the property manager Nahid Aghamolla and have gotten zero help, she is the absolute worse. Reached out to Rebecca Tipton the director of operations, NEVER got a response. Asked for the regional Cheryl Hansens information more than once and no one has ever given me her information so I could speak to corporate. I asked to be let out of my contract and for a refund due to the continuous issues, negligence and violation of tenants rights even serving a legal notice. They ignored the legal notice date, they have not communicated to me regarding my move in a timely manner to the point that I am literally stuck living here until we go to court. read more

The hallways are CONSTANTLY dirty. The water and power randomly cut off at they don't warn you or fix the issue for days. It's going on 2 months and I still have NOT received my deposit back after being told by Fransheila (property manager) that I would receive it in 21 days. She has HORRIBLE management skills and NEVER takes accountability for the things SHE does. She blames her team for HER miscommunication. She responds to emails and phone calls when she wants to. I've asked her for corporates information 5 times already and she REFUSES to provide me with it. DO NOT LIVE AT THIS APARTMENT! I have never dealt with a more slimy company in my life. They do not care about their residents at all. The amount of issues with this place could fill a book so let me just list some of the big ones. This apartment complex is one of the main reasons I am transferring schools because I cannot deal with horrible living conditions like this and I am not going to chance it with another apartment in Northridge. 1. You cannot reach the apartment managers at any point in the day. They do not want to see you, talk to you, or help you whatsoever. I needed to get my check out inspection done and I called Property Manager who scheduled my checkout inspection on a day that neither he or the APM was there. Because of that I spent 5 hours driving up there for nothing. From that point I called almost every day for the next two weeks. Every time either: nobody answered, I was put on hold and left on hold for the rest of the day, they were unavailable, or they said they would get to it and never did. It took me so long to get any sort of response from them and when I did they were the most rude and horrible people I have ever dealt with. Ron and Wendy were incredibly rude and disrespectful and I had to call them over 30 times to get them to even inspect my place. Which brings me to my next point. 2. They are thieves! I have videos of my apartment before and after and it looks exactly the same if not better. They took my security deposit after charging me for an extra months rent when I wasn't living in the place. I could have fought it in court because I have pictures of the place before and after but at this point I am so frustrated and exhausted that I just gave up and paid the amount. That's kind of how they operate... they just repeatedly treat you like garbage with disrespect until you eventually give up and give them the money they screwed you out of. They charged me my security deposit for general cleaning fees although the only thing stated on the lease is that you have to leave the place as clean as you found it, the place was completely spotless when I left. 3. No security! You pay for security that is rarely ever there. In the first couple of weeks all of our packages got stolen out of the package room and they did nothing about which cost us about $50. My car was hit in the parking lot which cost me another $900 but they don't have security cameras to find who it was. 4. The walls are so thin you can make out the conversations of the people in the apartments next to you. Unfortunately for me that meant I could hear my next door neighbors arguing every day and eventually I heard one of them get arrested for beating their wife. You know you're not in a great place when you can hear your neighbor clearly resisting arrest in your hallway at 2 in the morning. I also knew someone else that said they could hear their neighbor snoring through all hours of the night. 5. It is horribly unclean. I attached pictures of roach traps that I set up for only 1 week in this apartment. The place is completely bug infested and dispute all efforts to get rid of them they just continued. Those pictures of the roach traps don't account for the 3 roaches on average that I killed myself every day living there. Those pictures also don't show all of the horrible black mold you can find everywhere. 6. THERE IS NO MAINTENANCE! If you put in a request to get something fixed they won't fix it. I put in request that would stay pending for an entire month and then it would just be marked as complete without anyone ever showing up to my place. Because of that my shower and my toilet remained broken the entire time I was there. Not only that but my outlets wouldn't work either. My sink wouldn't drain for an entire month and the only when I threatened to contact the better business bureau about nothing being done did they send someone out. Here is a copy and paste of an order I put in that was literally never addressed the ENTIRE time I lived there. "Requested by You on 01/31/2022 5:03PM Maintenance Request #17711-1 This request was completed on 02/10/2022" Oh and don't even try calling after hours or emergency maintenance because they won't do anything either. Not even when my sink was pouring water out the bottom to potentially flood my apartment. I could continue the list but I think that is enough for now. Please do now waste your money, AVOID AT ALL COST! Ron and Wendy and most everyone else working there were awful with the exception of one sweet from desk girl, I forgot her name she said it was Sasha or something like that. I can't wait for my lease to end and get away from this literal shit hole. I have found dog feces in the hallway, mountains of trash in the stairwells and moldy food left on the stairs. Not only does this complex have 0 accountability for those responsible but refuse to clean this building up. "Managers" are always in an "important meetings" so you never get to speak to someone regarding this growing problem. But their negligence is what leads to the plethora of roach and ant infestations that have occurred here over my year lease. As someone who is very clean and takes their trash to the proper place it is infuriating to have to deal with the byproduct of other peoples blatant laziness. After the return of in person class this Fall '22 semester a lot of lazy people moved in and have caused the increase in unwanted bugs in this building. We lived here for 1-year in one of the larger units. It made sense at the time for its proximity to CSUN where my boyfriend was going to school and I was a fan of having all utilities included. But with Covid-19 shutting down the campus and my lease coming to an end I realized we could do better. Here's a list of some issues with the building: 1) They're not competitively priced for the area. If you just shop around you'll find larger spaces for less even if you have to pay for utilities. Just after our move out they changed the utility policy and units now pay a flat $98 a month making it even less competative. 2) The front doors are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING and everyone that walks by. If you have a unit with two entries, one in the living and one in the bedroom, don't expect to sleep well with a busy hallway. They're also not lined properly so light streams in through the doors. The doors within the unit are also cheap and hollow. 3) At move-in we had a LOT of weird problems. For example the oven was missing knobs, lights were flickering, the microwave was broken and if you just looked around you could see they cut a lot of corners on the spruce up. The shower paint in the shower wasn't sealed properly, just painted, and the floor has a weird lamant coating that peels. They clean up the apartments on the major cheap and it shows. It looks great when you're first viewing it but the longer you live there the more issues you'll find. 4) The leasing office pre-Covid was so-so with their communication. Now in Covid time they're damn near impossible to reach. They're terrible about returning calls and emails. If you have a package at the front desk you can only go 1 hour of the day, 5-6p, and never once have I shown up at 5p and someone was there to help me. 5) The parking lot is huge which is great, but there's so many vehicles that are clearly abandoned or don't belong there it's kind of ridiculous. They get tagged but never towed. 6) The garbage area is pretty awful in the summer. There's a lot of move outs and people go CRAZY dumping couches, mattresses, basically their entire apartment. It was so bad this year there was garbage flowing out of the garbage area and into the parking lot. Gross and not handled well. A courtesy email from the building would have been nice. Here's a list of things the apartment does well: 1) Maintenance actually isn't bad. They respond to requests with relative quickness and I've never had a problem. I do have friends in the building that have had issues, so maybe I'm just lucky, but they've always done pretty well with fixing things. 2) The building does a pretty good job maintaining the grounds, apart from the garbage area. 3) I've never had an issue or worry about safety. I know there's been some complaints on here about cops and tweekers in the hallways, but I've never seen that or worried about my vehicle. That being said they really do need to secure the building better. Often doors all over the place are left wide open to the world all night and day, but even with that I've never had an issue. 4) The gym is great with some real legit workout equipment. You pay a premium monthly to use the gym, but it's cheaper than most gyms and open 24-hours (when Covid isn't going on). Right now it's limited hours. In closing I'll only say keep in mind these units used to be dorms that were converted to apartments. It's pretty obvious when you see the layouts, small ovens and tiny bathrooms. I can't really recommend living here but if you must just make it a year, don't be afraid to submit maintenance requests and keep an eye out for better horizons. read more

If I could put 0 stars, I would. Don't ever live here unless you wanna be scammed, disrespected, stole from, lied to & experience constant bug Infestations. Before me & my roommates signed the lease, we wanted a two bedroom apartment but there wasn't one available for us to tour so we were able to tour a one bedroom. We were told that the bedroom in that one bedroom unit is the same as the two bedroom units. They told us that the two bedrooms were exactly the same but there are not. One closet is WAY bigger in one room while the other close is small. One bedroom has locks, one doesn't. One's AC system is more advanced than the other one. One bedroom is way bigger than the other. Me & my 3 roommates moved in August 1st of 2019, as soon as we got here, we experienced an influx of dead & alive ants in the bathroom specifically in the showers & crevices in the bathroom . Also the doors were jammed & the fridge was already broken. We made maintenance request immediately and they fixed the door & fridge but the ants came back immediately, like days after they did the "pest control", it was like they didn't even do anything. Also, the drawers & closet began to break and this is only a few months of living here. We pay 2,830 for this small shoe box apartment and all the supplies they used to make this apartment are cheap as hell and break easily. We have a least 25 maintenance requests from 2019-2020, probably even more. As soon as COVID-19 happened, our mail started going missing. They only had one person working up in the front for like 2 hours a day. If mail got delivered & there wasn't someone in the front desk, the mail would just left right on the front desk so someone quite naturally started stealing our mail. We had medication & checks stolen from us and the property manager RICHARD RISTY, did nothing. He instead admitted that a lot of the time the mail is just left there unattended & it is possible that it was stolen. He was very disrespectful. I threatened to make a police report (which I'm still doing by the way) and all of the sudden the next day, the mail were missing showed up. Everything except the checks. I'm assuming someone already spent the money lol but it's cool bc Ima get the police on that ass. There was someone with COVID-19 in the building, they let all the tenets know but as soon as pools in LA were opened up, the building decided to open up the pool & jacuzzi and it was crowed . Nobody wore any masks. There was no regulations at all. They let the tenants go haywire. Also in May, someone who didn't even live in the building just walked into the building and attempted to break into my neighbors apartment to kill him. He came knocking on my neighbors door & windows very violently, making crazy threats. And me & my roommates had to contact the police bc the building had NO security working that night . There was no locks on the main entrance either which was how this violent man was able to get in. When I told the workers & property manager if they heard about what happened & what they are gonna do, so this doesn't happen ever again. They told me they didn't hear about it & didn't give me any solutions. They didn't care. And when they did have their security guard there, he was a whole creep. He would check me & my friends out. Make disturbing uncomfortable comments, would try to tell us what to do & was just a plain creepy rapey prick. If it was 9 pm & our TV was "too loud", he told us to turn it down even though the people upstairs were having full on parties(which i'll discuss in a minute). One time me & my boyfriend were sitting my stairs talking quietly at 10 pm, he proceeded to question if we lived here knowing damn well, he has knows us. I pay rent don't tell me what to do so I didn't leave like get out my face. Back the party situations, the people above us made so much noise( they sounded like they were dragging full on bodies almost everyday) & had hella parties EVEN DURING COVID 19 and nobody did nothing about it. No shut down or anything. Those parties cause our unit to even get a roach infestation. The washer machines were always broken & they did nothing. The vending machines were always broken & they took forever to fix it. My roommates how had cars were unable to find parking all the time because there isn't specific parking spots for everyone even though they pay extra to park in the parking lot. I know someone who lived in the apartment complex, and they told me that this apartment complex refused to give her back her security deposit back even though the place was spotless and there was no damages. They even still made us pay for the pool amenities even when it was closed . A whole scam!!!!! The list goes on & on about all the corrupt things they did & continue to do. I can't speak on living here as I would not move my son in. The gentleman who showed us the two studio rooms was very polite and informative. He showed us the studio apartments right there near the lobby which were showrooms so while they were tiny, they were decent people but it wasn't until I asked to see another studio which meant we had to take a walk down the halls did I really get a feel for the place. It felt like we were being walked to a jail cell. The place stunk, seems old, very dark. I did not get a good feeling about the place and I thank god that I listened to my instincts. There are a lot of cockroaches in the init, we are already tired of getting rid of them, but there is no point in them coming through the walls through any holes they can. One parking space is given per unit and without it it's dangerous to park cars, they can be towed like mine and in order to return the car I have to pay more than 200 dollars, I don't say anything about the post office, we pay that much money, even the mail doesn't reach our doors, you have to go and pick up and also say that if the parcel was delivered closer to 6, then it can only be picked up tomorrow and there have also been cases of lost parcels. At first, the place seemed great with many amenities but the staff is beyond unprepared and sneaky. At first, they told my uncle and his wife that if they had a co-signer with a good credit score they would only pay $700 dollars deposit. They don't speak English, but I told them they could sign the lease. Then, I saw it that they put the security deposit at $1750 (the price of the apartment). When my husband questioned them, they said is because they lacked confidence in my uncle and his wife. My question is before putting it on the lease agreement, WHY WERENT WE INFORMED?! Why weren't we informed about the sudden increase in price? If that is not sneaky, what is? They were excited and everything about moving in, but now we expect the money back. Also as side a note, get your crap together Ricardo. You never want to answer the phone. You are a leasing agent, that is your job to try to rent out apartments and talk to potential new residents. Also be in a better mood. Always texting on your phone while talking to us in person. For all the exchange/ international students stay away from this place. Very disappointing. Not worth the risk. the place is infested with ROACHES, ants, bed bugs, etc!!! My roommates and I moved out end of July and we still have not received our security deposit. It's a scam living there, don't bother wasting your time & money. Almost every time I did laundry, one or two of the machines wouldn't work. There's a lack of security (if there's even any...) which made me feel very unsafe considering it's not the safest neighborhood especially at night. Very poor management. Gym, pool, jacuzzi, and all common areas continue to stay closed. Rent stayed the same!! Study rooms became office space for the management company. Maintenance requests take longer and are not managed or followed up properly leaving me to have to keep bugging people on the front desk for answers and results. I had property stolen inside the building and had to file a police report! Building manager was evasive and didn't address my request to fix electronic locks and came up with a janitorial excuse. There are pets all over and in the shared bathroom units they stopped cleaning bathroom as they used to before the pandemic. It seems like the pandemic is now a good excuse for these big companies to continue saving money and cutting services that should be included with the rent payment. New security company personnel keeps searching for cars to tow in the parking lot even though there are several parking spaces available. If my current situation allowed I would have moved out of here months ago, as soon as my 4 month lease ended. Don't settle for the proximity to campus and now that they build a huge parking lot just across the street I am definitely not waiting for regular classes to resume on campus... Most of the staff members here are extremely helpful and caring. And a huge shoutout to Regina, the leasing manager who actually cares about the tenets that live here. The maintaince guys here are super friendly and helpful- they take pride in their work and they take our requests very seriously. Over all this place is very convenient for students, the studios can come with furnitures if you pay a extra 50$ a month. All the bills are covered as well. This is a pretty quite facility that comes with study rooms and a gym too. My only complain is with the manager manager of this place, I do not recall her name but everytime I try to talk to her, she either ignores me or drops major attitude. My car was vandalized about 7 times in the past and she blamed it on me, and told me to call my lawyer. I removed my last review because I did not think it was fair for the rest of the staff members who actually works hard and takes pride in their work to be associated with someone like her. read more

Also, the walls are super thin! If you were there trying to study or just want to have some quiet time you better pray to God, Buddah, Allah, Keanu Reeves, etc that your neighbor has the courtesy to keep the noise level down. You can LITERALLY hear your everything your neighbor is doing and vice versa. If they even coughed or sneezed you can hear it so clearly that you might even want to say, "Bless you!". The only GOOD THING ABOUT THIS place is that the maintenance and janitorial crew are phenomenal! If you put out a work order, depending how serious it is, they get it done quick! Unfortunately As resident of the meridian point for 4 months, I realized this place is very disappointing, because I forgot my key somewhere and maintenance on the BUILDING declined to help due to shortage of staff at 3 am and I am absolutely frustrated . I was told the staff would be available at 8 am which 4 hours away and keep in mind that maintenance has my copy of my key but not willing to co-operate and he said " Sir! After three years, we finally moved out of Meridian Pointe. The ONLY reason we lived here was because it is across the street from CSUN. The Pros: All utilities included. Walking distance from CSUN, stove and fridge included, some furnishings, pool and gym, nice courtyards with lots of trees, benches and shade. They just put in new windows and toilets, which are nice. The maintenance team is quick to respond to issues. They moved the dumpsters to a fenced area which is nice because there used to be trash everywhere and it was gross. On site laundry rooms on every floor. The Cons: Roaches! Some members of the front desk team are rude as hell and talk down to you. (One woman in particular!) The hallways have no ventilation and constantly smell of weed, burnt food and plain funk. (They were painting the halls when we moved so they smelled of toxic paint fumes all the time. Can't be healthy!) If you ever order anything, be careful because they will lose your mail and won't take any responsibility for it. (I started sending large packages to my parent's house to avoid this.) They can enter your unit whenever they want without your permission. The units are small and overpriced. Overall, it was an ok place to live for the time we had to be there, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate and can't afford to commute to school. read more

Lived there for two years only because of my school. My car got broken into inside their parking lot and they treated us as if it was our fault. Pretty sure it was Patrick who treated us with no decency. My mail delivery got messed up multiple times and now we can't change our address because they are considered a business address. People will just take packages since there is no real security or cameras in the hallways so it's a free for all. They have this weird service where the cleaning ladies come in and clean the shared bathrooms and you can't opt out of it so I've had to always refuse them to come in. But yeah save your money and your sanity, live somewhere else besides this seventh circle of hell. The one star is only for the maintenance workers and the few people in the office who do their job while inside that terrible building. read more

I once lived at the Meridian Pointe Apartments when I first moved to LA and I unfortunately had a bad experience living there. When I first toured the place back in March before I moved to LA in May, I thought the Meridian Pointe Apartments would be a good first apartment for a 6 month lease. But it turned out that the landlord who gave me the tour of the apartment was dishonest with me. When I asked her about the unit and if I would be in a unit by the pet free hallway since I wouldn't want dogs going into my unit, she said that the other units for people who have pets are in a whole different part of the apartment complex. But when I moved in, it turned out that was false information. I could not stand the small cramped unit I was living in, and it turned out that my neighbor who lived in another unit right across the hall from me in the same hallway had two dogs that constantly barked and it was so annoying. It made it hard for me to sleep at night. My shower head was also very low in my shared bathroom that it was hard for me to take a shower. And I only had a small mini fridge like in a college dorm room and a microwave and only two stove tops but no oven. And I did not have enough room to store my food and I couldn't even cook proper meals. There was also a weird toxic smell in my unit and even in the hallways that caused me to feel sick, and when I tried to put in a maintenance request for that. The maintenance guy came, but he didn't even fix it right. Also, the doors to the Meridian Pointe Apartments were always open even outside of normal business hours and I found that very unsafe. Someone could easily break in and rob the place because of the doors being wide open all the time. I only lived at the Meridian Pointe Apartments for not even a month, and I terminated my lease immediately because of the bad experience I had at that place when I first moved. I do not recommend living at the Meridian Pointe Apartments. The landlords are dishonest, and the property is not what they say it is. If you don't want to be put in a tough living situation with this apartment complex like I was in when I first moved to LA, then I'd say it's not worth it. read more

This place of residency violated their own lease. An official legal document which both I, my roommate, and employees signed. The document clearly stated that after the initial 12-month lease period was over, the lease would continue on a month-to-month basis. During the final two months of our term, I asked to confirm this since we ran in to personal matters and needed an extra month or two, and I was told that it couldn't be upheld because they want to stay within the season of the upcoming school year. I was denied twice, by both a general manager and property manager. The property is not owned by CSUN and is in no way a form of college housing and therefore not obligated to stick within a renting timeline. We were denied our legal right to stay, something very worthy of small claims court. Any place that does that is never a place worth giving money to or that I would ever recommend to anyone. Also the showers are built for people no taller than 5'0", and if you wanted hot water, you'd have a better chance of winning 6 consecutive rounds of Russian roulette. See the image attached for lease violation. According to section 3.1.2, the lease will continue on a month-to-month basis unless terminated by me or the business. However, it was never terminated by the business since we had only received a notice of annual renewal, and never a notice of eviction or lease termination. read more

I was actually coming over to a friends place to watch tv and snacks and it happened to be this apartment! Right when you walk in the main area and lobby where super clean and the hallways were as well. My friends apartment was decently sized and she had her own kitchen and shared a bathroom with another person living in the next apartment. Not too shabby! They pay for all utilities and they have a pool, spa, study area and much more! I have considered moving here and will check out the place soon! read more

I want to re-iterate what I just said, I was told my money was refundable if my application isn't approved. These were the words said to me. Regina then told me the paper says non-fundable on the sheet given to me. This company stole from me. I don't see the word non-refundable anywhere on the holding agreement. Lie. I then, was told, I was going to receive half of the payment back over the phone by that lady.
