I will never order from here again. I ordered the Empire sandwich which SPECIFICALLY says on Uber Eats, on Yelp that it has MAYO! Instead I get no mayo and a ton of spicy mustard!!!! In Bushwick it's not as easy to find halal lamb on rice as it is in Manhattan so I've been looking. This place looked okay and the worker was friendly, even reducing the price of the combo lamb and chicken on rice. I paid 8.50 for their medium, which is usually $10. The taste was pretty good but most halal lamb chicken on rice is pretty good. Problem is...even at 8.50 it was over priced. Tons of space in the container, very little meat, mostly rice, and it kind of felt like a snack. I don't see myself going here again. read more

For the record, between my girlfriend and I we have ordered food from here many times. This is the first time the order and food have been wrong. Got the order about 10 min late and back into our apartment and realized the order was wrong. Called the restaurant and spoke to the guy there. He was very apologetic and told me he'd fix it and call me back. He also asked if I had touched the food. I said only to obviously check the order but no I have not touched it. He then asked if I would be able to give it back to the driver. I said I would, but let's be honest, that's odd and I'm pretty sure against health code seeing as how I had already opened the food. He called back a few minutes later saying new food was on the way and that they had over 50 delivery orders come through and that the delivery driver got confused. Now well over an hour into the whole process, food is delivered. I specifically ask the delivery driver if the food was freshly made. He says yes. I open the container to find my falafel over rice, but the falafel balls looked like they were split in half. Almost as if someone had messed with them. I called the restaurant back and asked the same person I've been dealing with if the food was freshly made or if it was just the same food. He assured me it was freshly made and the food was okay. He even made mention that the styrofoam container was stapled shut and the bag was tied. However the problem is that the food was not only lukewarm but missing the extra lettuce, tomatoes, and onion I had paid for. It looked very much like the food was scooped into a new container and pawned off as fresh. Long story short we all make mistakes. However it is the blatant dishonesty that gets me here. All he would have had to do was admit the delivery driver made a mistake. Remake the food. And be honest about it. Customer service at seamless said the guy seemed offended that I even questioned the quality of food and complained. I wasn't looking for anything for free, nor did I want a discount or anything else for that matter. All I wanted was the correct hot food. I would have gladly paid full price for food that was fresh and hot and correct but very very late as opposed to food that was very late and wrong. I will NEVER order from here again. What a shame. I will never understand why the concept of good customer service is still lost to SO MANY business owners. The way you handle the people who are patronizing your business and MAKING YOU MONEY speaks volumes and is arguably more important than whatever it is you're selling. This place had pretty good reviews on Seamless and I wanted a sandwich badly. Their prices are way too high but I guess they gouge them for seamless because of the fees? Still, they're literally a corner deli so there's no way to order from them directly unless you go in person and I'm sure they make bank by doing deliveries. they also charge a $4 delivery fee so to me it looks like they're just trying to squeeze as much out of you as they can. My problem isn't even with the food. It's the fact that they are a five minute drive from me, I tipped their delivery driver (and that's important cause it's THEIR employee not a third party driver) on top of their fee and all I asked of them was to not call me and to just buzz my apt number so i could meet them halfway. This was literally written down. This man showed up to my apartment, wasn't even at the front door (perks of having a camera at the entrance) when he called to tell me he had my food. He didn't even try to be nice, he was just an ass. I did not choose contact free delivery, yet he still asked me if he should leave my food at the front door? I asked him to buzz my apt so I could just let him in and meet him halfway. He doesn't say anything, rings my bell and hangs up. I stood there waiting for that man thinking he was going to meet me and he never did. 7 mins later I get a pic of my food in an unsealed typical black plastic deli bag sitting in the front entrance of my apartment, THAT EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO. Hence the REASON, why I DO NOT OPT FOR CONTACT FREE DELIVERY. We're in the literal midst of a fucking pandemic and this ***hole left my food unattended, while he had me thinking he was going to do his job properly. How lazy, spiteful and inconsiderate can you be? You got paid and tipped to drive five minutes and exert about 4 minutes of physical labor. The funniest part about it is he did that to be an asshole and I got a full refund from Seamless! Why? Cause the Universe dont like ugly! High Prices, Low Quality The title says it all. The staff is nice and you can order beer and random things from them which is thier only redeeming quality. To give an example of thier quality I ordered the tuna salad over salad meal and it came on top of the crappy filler shredded iceberg lettuce you come to expect from low quality restaurants along. It looked like they just took the veggie slices (tomatoes, onions, green peppers) they use for hamburgers and chopped them up. Speaking of which, the hamburgers are the flat hockey puck style you would expect to get from Crown Chicken or somebody on that level. I just ordered a breakfast sandwich and home fries from what may be the friendliest deli guy I have ever met. He was so incredibly polite and always had a smile on his face. Asked me all the customization questions (roll vs. hero, home fries inside or outside sandwich, ketchup, etc) and I literally felt compelled to write this review because of how warm and friendly this guy was. Never again. Been giving this place money for years and their quality has consistently gone down to the point the food barely resembles food anymore. It used to be amazing and fairly priced. They've marked up the cost of everything and added ridiculous service/delivery charges. But I'm not writing this review solely because of that (I rarely write reviews); writing because I decided to get takeout one day, and when the owner passed me my food, he was refreshingly super kind. He wanted to make sure I was taken care of, and quickly picked my mind to ensure that the quality of his restaurant was in flawless order. Thank you to Merinda's and seamless for saving me when I am hungover. The Adam's bomb sandwich is awesome. So good. And the mozzarella sticks are surprisingly delicious. They also deliver me Gatorade when I need it most. My only mistake this morning was that I didn't order two gatorades but I did still feel like a new person after eating my delicious meal from Merinda's after a night of heavy drinking.
