I ordered a hairpiece myself for $250 and it was a basic stock knotted unit most people use. Probably similar to what she uses and she gets a discount. $250 is about the running price online. No supplier is very obviously superior to another, same materials and craftsmanship. It's just human hair on poly. Chrissy said she uses 4 suppliers. You can get custom virgin European hair double knotted with bleached knots for maybe $400-$600 but it'll take a few months to arrive and those pieces are rarely used. Custom is common for like $50-$100 more, but cheaper colored Indian hair is typically used. Anyway Chrissy charges $999 for it. Chrissy lists a hair cut in service for $450 on her site. Many stylists charge $70-$90 for that but I'd be willing to pay a few hundreds bucks extra for a quality job. But when I got there she said she will only cut in a piece ordered from her, and you can imagine the markup. She pretty much said she doesn't want to have a client she makes any less money on because she has enough that she does, so our consultation was about 5 minutes. And that's fine, she has a right to charge a premium for her services. Just be prepared to buy about 2-4 pieces per year at $1500 each, as well as the regular clean and cut services. And she's not the only one charging this too, by the way. She did sort of mention something like a monthly membership deal exactly like Hair Club for Men, but we didn't really discuss it and I might have misheard her on that.

Chrissy is terrific to work with in regard to hair loss (male or female). I (middle aged female)…read moreopted for the hair piece treatment and have absolutely no regrets. I was VERY NERVOUS about trying this option for me. Chrissy addressed my fears and even allowed me to try it on a "trial basis". I loved my (new) look from day one. In my opinion, it is much better dealing with a small professional like Chrissy at HLS rather than dealing with the larger places (Hair Restoration Institute; Hair Club). I highly recommend that you make an appointment with Chrissy to discuss your hair loss options. There is no obligation whatsoever and she doesn't pressure the client, unlike other places!!

By far the worst experience ever at Pampered Hair Haven. I did my research and decided on micro…read morelink extensions to add LENGTH to my hair after having my hair thinned out at Fantastic Sams and the stylist accidently using the wrong scissors. I choose Pampered Hair Haven as they had the shortest wait time (I see why now). I had a consultation with Joyce (who claims 30 plus years of experience on all different ethnicities hair types). I explained to her why I wanted to do the micro link extensions. Joyce confirmed my hair was perfect the way it was for the micro links. I purchased Pampered Hair Haven's overly priced hair on the spot, in order to save the appt spot I was wanting for the following Saturday.... only to find out when I got home I could've bought the same amount of real human hair online for $80 (I paid more than triple that). On my install appt day, Joyce "finished" my hair with barely any length added.... When I expressed I was doing this FOR THE LENGTH, she stated she "MISUNDERSTOOD me" and thought I was wanting her to "fix the bad cut"... which I NEVER said... I was very clear about wanting length. So to "fix" this "misunderstanding"... Joyce charged me for more hair.... When Joyce finished instilling the rest of the hair, I expressed to her it still didn't look how I was expecting it to. She told me that it was because it needed to be CUT, then proceeded to tell me she sends all her clients next door to Connie (Hairs to You is the name of her salon)... during THE WHOLE CUT... Connie is making comments that she knows "nothing about extensions"... (the "trim" also costed $30 on top of everything I paid at Pampered Hair Haven) I also learned after the fact that extensions should ALWAYS be blended with ONLY a razor and this SHOULD ALWAYS BE INCLUDED in the process of instilling extensions. Scissors is NOT the best way to blend hair extensions. Joyce instilled all the links in the CROWN of my hair with no pattern what so ever. The back WAS SO UNEVEN (see pictures) and because she instilled the micro links on the crown of my head (where they are not supposed be instilled to begin with) the links were CONSTANTLY showing through no matter how I wore my hair, it couldn't be covered and they were constantly showing through due to the instill at the crown. I could not at all wear my hair down or in a high pony because of this as well. I brought my concerns to Joyce after a couple days of TRYING to work with the hair. She agreed to "fix what I was seeing"... While at Pampered Hair the 2nd time... Joyce tried to gaslight me several times about how the "hair looked" it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional, she even brought her co worker into our conversation asking her for her opinion and speaking FOR her that it "looked good" and stating she "saw nothing wrong". I expressed being completely dissatisfied STILL and pointed out that I still see the links showing through and that it was uneven in the back when she finished. Joyce stated I was being very "nit picky", she would need to "add more hair to achieve the look I am wanting" and she would "need to charge me if she continues to do more work". (2 weeks later I got a 2nd opinion from Kelly at Trio Salon, she stated because there was SOOO MUCH hair she recommended REMOVING the links at the crown and it will STILL blend nice, the total opposite of what Joyce stated.) Joyce also on this day stated to me I had "self esteem issues" and "I won't be satisficed no matter what is done to my hair" (who actually talks to any human being this way... let alone a customer?) Then proceeded at the end of this experience to take pictures of my hair to continue her gaslighting and EVEN HAD TO MOVE hair strands around before snapping pictures on her phone. By far the MOST unprofessional and WEIRD experience EVER. I left Pampered Hair Haven completely dissatisfied with THE SAME ISSUES she agreed to fix and I was not willing to throw in more money after spending nearly $700 for this whole terrible experience. Pictures posted are 2-3 DAYS after leaving Pampered Hair Haven the 2ND TIME, I tried several different styles in my hair before sending these pictures to Joyce AND BEFORE deciding to get a 2nd opinion at TRIO SALON. Joyce refused to fix her bad work. Kelly at Trio Salon filled in the HUGE hole in the back w/ the excess micro links from my crown and blended everything with a razor at the end! I am so grateful Kelly was able to fix the bad work I had done at Pampered Hair Haven at such a low price, now I am able to keep the micro links in my hair and wear several styles. I was not able to wear my hair down before without walking and the links showing through. I ALSO can EASILY put my hair up and NO links pop out. I was NOT able to do this before either! Kelly from Trio Salon stated the links were installed way too close to my crown and their was no pattern used. She stated it appeared "a NOT licensed person instilled".
