Merle's had good food, my only complaint was the service was a little slow and it was very warm inside.

Old school bar, high back booths, great sandwiches, and Killians on tap. What's not to like! Their Rueben's are really good!

Alright neighborhood bar. The sandwiches are okay. It's not my favorite bar in town, but that's just a matter of personal preference.

Surprisingly Good Food at a bar. Had the Reuben sandwich with ham & potato soup, both good. Good service also & reasonably priced.

It's an old school bar that serves some appetizers, sandwiches, soup and salads, enchiladas, and of course alcohol.

Didn't have any alcoholic drinks so can't say anything on that. It's hard to find a good burger anymore. I'm talking a good ole fresh greasy burger hot off the grill with all the fixings! Our world has changed so much. Everything is made for convenience and to be quick. People don't want to sit and wait for the good stuff I guess! Highly recommend this little place.

Aside from the illegal fee that they know damn well is illegal (in all 50 states) they have also jacked up their prices again. Also, I almost never complain about a waitress but ffs She walked away from me while I was still tell Her my order and then I got up to go tell her the rest of the order so I wouldn't get something the way I didn't want it and She walks away AGAIN like gosh damn let someone finish wtf they're saying before rushing to put it in the system. I was very clear with Her that I was paying with a debit card NOT a credit card and she charged me the card fee anyway which is clearly illegal.

We had just enough time to grab a cocktail at the bar and enjoy the outside area while we waited. Cheers to the very busy bar team. We were waited on very quickly and our drinks is were well balanced and exactly the same. I ordered the Veggie sandwich with aioli dressing and broccoli salad side salad. I would highly recommend this dish if you want something filling but not overly heavy or hot. My friend ordered the sweet potatoes, her personal favorite, and raved about them. The service was great and the place had a relaxed vibe to it. On a personal note: it was really loud (for my taste) conversations had to be shouted to hear and it's hard to enjoy the great weather and outdoor space with the street noise so close ,the motorcycles that liked to crews by periodically to rev their engines several times during our dinner it made it less than enjoyable dining and for conversation. I love a good patio during nice weather but for me the noise level was so high it was hard to truly enjoy the dining experience as a whole. In general a great place to spend the eve in for dinner and drinks if you don't mind shouting and loud noise throughout your stay.

It felt decent out so the outdoor patio was a nice ambiance. No angry geese were included. It seemed as most things on the menu were pretty simple, but simple is good. I had the grilled cheese because who can pass up a good gourmet grilled cheese. While hard to mess up, it was done well and had plenty of cheesy goodness. The desserts looked quite tasty and will have to try them next time!

Our server was friendly and helped us choose our meals. We all ended up ordering the Whiskey Beef Stroganoff, which took about 30 minutes to arrive. Everyone enjoyed it, I thought it could have been a little more favorable. He checked on us regularly and offered to sell us more drinks from the bar, but never refilled our water glasses -- unfortunately, water was my drink of choice that night. For dessert, we shared the Wedding Cake and Crème Brûlée, both of which were excellent. As for the ambiance -- I should have listened to my wife. She warned me that they were having live music, and she was right. It was loud -- uncomfortably so. We struggled to have a conversation, and even saw another couple order drinks, pay, and leave because of the volume. Lesson learned. Would we return? Yes, but not on a live music night. Pro tips for servers: keep water glasses full and clear plates after the meal. Miss one of those, and your tip might reflect it.
