I wasn't ready to be done for the night so I looked for a place I could get a beer nearby and Yelp sent me here. A great choice, this was a pleasant 2 or so hours, sipping a beer, nibbling on a really fresh Caesar salad (hold the croutons) and writing entirely too many Yelp reviews as I continue my exploration of Kansas. This is a neat spot with a selection of beers including some locals, a nice list of bar type grub (nachos, burgers and the like) and [[HIGHLIGHT]]comfy seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. After previously dining and drinking a the location near WSU, I had high expectations coming in. The menu at this location is quite a bit smaller. Despite it not being very busy, it took at least five minutes for someone to come greet us and take our drink order. Another big turn off for me, [[HIGHLIGHT]]when walking in instead of smelling the fabulous food that could be kicking in the kitchen, it overwhelmingly smelled like lemon Fabuloso cleaner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, I will not be going back to this location. The SOCIAL TAP on Greenwich is heads above the one in Andover. So, if you like the menu AND want good service, go to Greenwich. They were very helpful with my carry out order. When we went to Andover, they were out of the pimento dip - which was what I went for - and they had no iced tea. 1st time we had been to this location and the waiter knew this, as he asked. I got a So Cal Salad, with additional cucumber and egg. I knew to expect an up charge with the egg. I also had them hold the queso fresco cheese. Just saying, I saved them some money on cheese and still expected to pay more for egg. I got my salad and it looked beautiful! Until I added some dressing to mix it up, then the buried RUST surfaced. The supposed to be luscious romaine lettuce under everything on top was actually one day short of disgusting non-edible compost. When the friendly water came to see how everything was, I had to point out this napkin full of rust/slime lettuce to him. Wait staff... learn to look at the table, not just walk up to ask people, "how's it tasting" to get away as quick as you can. Once I pointed it out and said how disappointed I was as well as I do not want another salad (that's all me not trusting send backs to kitchen's). He said he would go talk to the kitchen to see if that lettuce was past its date. Dude... look at this napkin, it's proof. Not proof of life, but proof proof of death, dead lettuce. My daughter requested an extra sauce at that time, which never showed up at the table. He didn't come back to the table until I went up to the bar to ask for my check. He never said anything about the kitchen or the lettuce again. As it was also evident when I got my check and there was not even any type of break let alone a manager that came out to apologize in any way, shape or form. To say I'm very disappointed does not cover it all. I usually like to give restaurants three chances. But when there's no incentive to get the public in by covering your mistakes in any way, I'm not really drawn. Wichita has way too many restaurants to choose from . I prefer to go to the ones who work to keep their customers happy and satisfied. All I wanted was food worth the money I was paying you for. Some value. We get together once a month at Social Tap on the WSU campus. Decent food, good service, great drinks. Ordered the Chopped Cheese and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. They were okay the chopped cheese could've used some more meat in my opinion and the Nashville chicken sandwich wasn't hot at all. Tasted like cayenne more than anything. Loved the available board games. Made time go fast while we waited for our food and even after we ate. Drinks were a great price. $3 for a vodka limeade. Service was excellent. A must try Is the Chopped Beef sandwich fairly new item for them I got mine with everything on it, it was so money! They have some amazing appetizers too. I came here with a friend to specifically try the Nashville sandwich after hearing about it on a food blog. My buddy was looking for pizza like the other location but was told no pizza. My sandwich was good, not as great as I dreamt. Good none the less. I love crinkle cut fries. These were salted, peppered, and crispy. Very nice. Don't judge me on the beer but we had a princess peach beer. Nice and peachy. Sampled a darker one that was very cherry. The staff were super friendly and attentive. My first visit here. It's a little small, and if I had one complaint, it would be how close the hightops are to each other. Like, uncomfortably close. I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich with tots. The sandwich was a 9/10. The chicken was a little thin, but tasted great, and the sauce was spot on. The tots - 5/10. Super crispy, but definitely cooked in old oil and it was overpowering. We also had the chile pretzels. I'm on the fence about these. There's no picture in the menu, so silly me, I expected some nice tasty oven baked pretzel sticks. Nope - these are cheap grocery store bag pretzels with some oil and seasoning tossed on. And, the best part, $8(!). Fool me once, shame on me. They were ok, pretty spicy, but these should be handed out for free, not $8. We just had to laugh. I guess if you can get enough people to be fooled once, why not. What I loved was the ordering process. While I didn't like trying to figure out the menu from my iPhone, the beauty is, you order yourself, and you can keep the tab open and continue ordering drinks without having to flag down a waitress. The staff was very responsive, so it was nice. One thing I might mention, they need to work on timing. I noticed most tables got their entrees one dish at a time, so there was that awkward waiting by each person for the rest of the table to get their order. Overall a good experience. We'll be back. There are a variety of indoor and outdoor door seating options, conversation starters on the screen, and group games to play. The food was also very good. We went to the one on Greenwich. We really loved this place but it has definitely gone downhill. The service is terrible. We sat on the patio; there were four other tables out there. There was one lady inside. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come out. There were two - a gal (who is always non-attentive) and a young guy chatting it up. We asked for water and he forgot. I had to ask for it again. We placed our drink order through the app right when we sat down and our food about 5 minutes later. Our food came out before our drinks. When our sever made his one other appearance when he brought back our water (finally) I had to ask for our drinks. They were finally brought out by the bartender about 10 minutes later. The table next to us had to go in and get their checks. The other table next to us had empty water for the entire meal. Also, I have had the drink I ordered so many times. It tasted like rubbing alcohol. So gross I didn't drink it. Terrible experience. Not sure if we'll be back for a while. At least not while those three are working there. read more

I recently had a negative experience at Social Tap Room in Wichita Kansas on May 2nd 2025 around 11 PM. The bartender Danielle who is also the general manager confiscated a bottle of vodka I intended to use for antiseptic purposes without my permission and refused a refund. She also admitted to purchasing alcohol for her 18-year-old brother from the liquor store next door. I felt verbally assaulted and berated during the interaction. I'm concerned about the ethical and legal implications of these actions. She openly admitted to blackmailing a customer yesterday May 2nd so that this individual could purchase a bottle of coconut Malibu for her underage brother. And said she would be the "plug". I'm mortified that Kansas would permit this. She also admitted to stealing from the franchise. read more

Order on your phone, pre-pay, pre-tip for service and then sit back and wait. You might be forced to say me or similar when the food is delivered. If you're under 30 this is your jam. It was uncomfortably cold in there. It felt like the backdoor was wide open. I had to wear my coat or have it on my lap the entire time. Three hours later and my feet are finally recovering. For the drinks, pretty good. I had the iced espresso and the Long Island and both were solid. Food was hit or miss. The pimento cheese dip was mediocre in that I was expecting the jalapeño to be incorporated into it but it was just sliced and placed on top. Also, it came with just regular chips that kept breaking while trying to get dip on them. The fried pickles were also just ok. However, the chopped cheese sando and the mozzarella and fig sandos were very good. Finally, you order online which is good and bad. Good in that you can reorder without waiting but bad in that it's kinda inconvenient and takes away that personal experience with the wait staff. read more

Went this past Saturday around 615pm. Was greeted nicely after we sat down. Told by a couple servers that we scan QR code to see menu and order. We did so. Waiter came by several times filling our drinks. No food. More time. Not even appetizers. Had to ask for them. She brought one out a few minutes later. Then no more. Had to ask again about 15 mins later where our other app was. They finally brought it out. Then eventually our 2 salads! This was the weakest salad for the price that my daughter and I have ever had. The Cortado salad was suppose to have grilled chicken on it. I guess 6 pieces the size of a pea is what you get along with fatty bacon. And about 6 drops of ranch dressing! My son's cheeseburger was so-so. They did not follow orders with PLAIN, cheese and meat only! So, 3 out of 4 of us have food now at 730pm. My husband still sits being patient for his fish tacos. Nothing!! The guy came by for the 8th time to fill our water and my husband asked about it. They said it will be out in a minute! Well, they forgot to make it, that was obvious. Took forever to get it. How do you screw up and order that it done on a phone? Our receipt clearly showed it. This was not a good experience and we will not return to waste $81.00!
