This place is just delicious. Server was super friendly and helpful. The meatball was fantastic- so much cheese, homemade marinara, and the meatball was cooked perfectly. With the two of us we shared a meatball and a medium pizza. We took two pieces home. SO DELICIOUS. The place is small and you'll probably have to wait a few minutes- so many carry out orders!!!! Perfect spot to grab dinner on vacation or a Thursday night.

Absolutely LOVE Merlin's pizza! We found them several years ago on a beach trip and now they are a staple on our list of must visit places when we are in the area. We LOVE their thin crust and always order a pizza that has one of their drizzles! I always get the southern sweet heat and substitute the ham for pepperoni! I cannot tell you how awesome it is! Combination of sweet chili sauce, Alfredo and cream cheese with yummy meats and jalapeños and then top it with a sweet honey drizzle...absolute PERFECTION! Love it! Hubby ordered a ranch chicken club pizza with a creamy garlic drizzle and he loved it as well!We drive from Miramar, 20 minutes away every time we are in the area. It's worth the 40 minutes round trip! Definitely give them a try if you are in the area!

We had our pizza delivered DoorDash. It came quickly and it was hot. The pizza was really good. I like the hand toss crust, as it is crispy on the bottom. Plentiful toppings of sausage, green pepper, red onion, and mushrooms. We all enjoy here a lot. Would definitely get another pizza from the establishment.

Oh pizza! This qualifies as a whole in the wall kinda place. Or a hidden gem! Their pizzas are thick crust but well done. The taste is amazing and original. They have one big table that can accommodate eight people, 3 small booths and 3 larger booths. A lot of people came to pick up food while we were there. Service was great! We had a party of 11 and everything came in a timely manner but most importantly it was correct. I will totally visit again.

My favorite pizza place in Destin Florida!!! Every time I travel to Destin, I order Merlin's pizza (usually 3-4 times). I love the flavor of the sauce and pizza is always cooked just how I like it. I switch between thin crust and hand tossed, and they are both equally delicious! I've introduced quite a few people to this quaint little joint and they are now regulars. I've never dined-in but when I do carry out the place is always packed. 5 stars for Merlin's!

Easy online ordering. The wait wasn't bad at all for a Friday night. So happy we tried a local place because the pizza was good! Highly recommend the Polla Bella Pizza. Went here based on reviews. This place is a definite 5 Star. It is small and crammed, but everything else about the place is awesome. The pizza and cheese breadsticks were made to order fresh and delicious. The beer is cold and comes with a free coozie and not overpriced like everywhere else. We'll absolutely be back. Really good pizza, had the pepperoni explosion. The reason for not giving 5 stars, ordered and paid for side of garlic butter and cheese sauce. When picked up the pizza asked about the sauces and he said they were in the box with the pizza. Get home and no sauce. Super frustrating!! read more

We ordered Merlin's on a whim while in Destin on a family vacation. It's a local pizza place; and bingo e were planning to order from a chain - however, the delivery estimate everywhere else was crazy long. So, we decided on Merlin's and were pleased! The crust was definitely homemade and the cheese perfectly gooey and tasty. We even ordered a second night and got some Parmesan-garlic wings which were good, and their "blooming meatball." We ordered takeout while on vacation. There is a lot of hype around Merlin's. It is an average pie, nothing to wow you, but also fair quality with nothing "wrong" with it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. It's on par with most corporate pizza joints, so if you like to support local businesses while traveling, this is your place. I will try another pizza place in Destin the next time we visit though, just for variety. read more

Would give it a zero if possible, had a party of 12 and walked In and Waitress said in a snobby voice to have us go outside and wait as we were just getting a menu. Place was busy at the moment but tables cleared out and went back in and she got snobby with us saying not allowed to move tables together which was fine then came back with a attitude about not putting extra chair at table. Not the way to treat a large party looking to spend a lot of money on food read more

One word: OUTSTANDING. The service was just amazing as the food. Delivery was exactly on time to our condo. We got a veggie pizza as well as chicken strips and everything was so fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend Merlin's! Merlins Pizza served us a great pizza and cinnamon sticks. Service was great. The pizza was cooked well, hot and the ingredients stayed put on the pizza. The place is small, tables are very close, and the to go line stays busy which has people standing around the tables close to go line. I dont like eating next to someone's ass. After the waste of time at Mellow Mushroom, we had to go to two other places before Merlins. What gives with places closed on sunday. read more

For all the "Boom! Wow we're an awesome 100% local pizza place! Wow, check us out!" ads this place had, the pizza was a little less than Pizza Hut level, and the wings are the tiniest I've ever had, and the fattiest!! We had to throw out both batches (flavors) we bought- yuck! If you want a local pizza place with semi-Pizza Hut quality, this is your stop. But keep going to another place if you want quality! We have eaten this place frequently but had the worst experience last night. Ordered online with an hour and fifteen minute wait, and after waiting an hour received the email from the order tracker our pizza was leaving for delivery. Another hour passes by with still no pizza, I called because we are now at the two hour mark, and the staff on the phone says "oh Yea, he left awhile ago, he's almost there." I know. With an hour cold $60 worth of pizza. I complained to the driver that it was all really cold and he said "well traffic on main 98 is bad." Yes. It's Destin. There are alternative routes. No apology for the fact that I got to recook my mediocre food from a place where customer service is clearly not high on the list. read more

We ignorantly thought we could have salad and pizza and be super full, not so. We won't order here again.

Are you kidding, this place is great. Atmosphere 5, just what you expect. Friendliness 5, the staff is great food is on time. They really pay attention to the customer. Last year I bought a T-shirt, (yes you can get one of their T-shirts) there was a little snafu I got the wrong size :-(, there were none in my size to be had. I was leaving and couldn't wait. "Next time you come let us know and we will make it right," said the manager. Well, I have heard that before. You know what? I return a year later, and they did exactly what they said they would do. Nice shirt. Any business that gives that kind of service, and has great food deserves to be recognized. So, if you want exceptional service and great food... Please visit Merlins Pizza!! Food - pizza was awesome! Even our child who doesn't eat pizza much loved it. Cheese bread sticks were very tasty. We even had a few leftovers for lunch the next day and it was gone quickly. Service- we had a Togo order and we made it almost on the dot what the told us it would be and the pizza was hot as if it just came out of the oven. As mentioned, we had Togo order so it went smoothly. Don't think I'd want to sit in and eat as the place was pretty small and with people waiting it was kind of a tight space. This is my favorite pizza place in Destin. We will definitely be back when we come back to town. Our waiters name was Trey and he was so nice and very patient with my 4 children, he was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. I will ask for him to be our waiter next time also. The bread sticks and the pizza were so so good. My kids ate the bread sticks first and then couldn't even finish 1 piece of pizza. The price was great too, only 25.00 for 5 of us and we have enough left over for another meal or 2. It was easy to get to, right off of 98. Love love love this place. read more

We stopped here before we checked in to our hotel, not expecting much, but I'm definitely glad we did. The location made me apprehensive because I typically have low-expectations from strip-mall locations, but they are truly an exception. The food we got was amazing and I'll definitely be returning here when I come back to Destin to try the rest of their menu. Wide variety of pizza and some great appetizers. Our first time to Destin and in the elevator Merlins was delivering to someone. It smelled so good! Later that night we decided to order. We got the Garlic Parmesan boneless wings, Medium spice boneless wings and a Combo pizza. Merlins was absolutely amazing! Merlins is a Destin institution of sorts. I frequently order from Merlins and have for years. If you are in town on vacation, this is a GREAT spot to get some good pizza delivered. The Main Street smoker is probably my favorite I don't like to dine in here, I typically just order to go. The dining area is nice but its really best to just take it home. Called around Destin looking for a seafood pizza and to my surprise, I couldn't find one. Called Merlins and they said they did. We ordered the Seafood pizza and Caribbean Rum wings and OMG it was absolutely delicious!!! Everyone was super friendly. Our server Linda was great! The waiter convinced us to stray from our normal thin crust sausage and try the hand tossed Pollo Bella....olive oil and garlic brushed crust, mozzarella and provolone cheese, with grilled chicken and artichokes, sprinkled with feta. We went to Merlins last week and I'm still thinking about how great it was! This was the best gluten free pizza I've had since I stopped eating gluten three years ago. Really, this pizza can be improved. Try using a pizza upright oven. The thin crust slice flops downward as soon as you pick it up. Use the Brooklyn style of pizza dough. Let the dough raise twice. The sauce can be improved. Use homemade sauce and add oregano. Use whole milk mozzarella. Turn up the heat in the oven to get a crispy crust on the pizza. Good Luck!! read more

So, we have kids that are gluten free-dairy free and 1 who can't eat tomatoes-yeah, it is ROUGH! But MERLINS had it all. We ordered 4 kinds of pizza to try different combinations.
