We came here because it's mother's day & they had reservations available a few days ago when we booked on OpenTable But I'm so glad we picked this place because it was fantastic! We tried the pappardelle with sausage & the chicken piccata as our mains & I loved them both. The pappardelle was soo creamy & saucy! My mouth is drooling just writing this thinking about it The piccata had plenty of capers & lemon and the chicken was very tender We also got the Caesar salad in a large which could be shared with 3 people but we had only 2 eating and one toddler who ate all the croutons ha which meant our pastas came home with us but the salad was very fresh tasting and light. I didn't taste much anchovy but salt level was nice. I also got the peartini and it was great! Very refreshing and heavy on the pear flavor. Wow! This place is amazing. We were on our way home and decided we wanted some pizza. I was looking on Yelp and decided on this gem. The decor is crisp and clean. The music accompanies the scene of the restaurant. We arrived at 11:45AM before the lunch crowd arrived. Krisztian was our everything! He greeted us, waited on us and took care of everyone else at the same time. No one was waiting on nothing. He gave us some great recommendations and we started with the garlic rolls. Man, these are some of the best garlic rolls I've ever had. They were hot, buttery and so light all at the same time. We then ordered the Gorgonzola pizza. It came with grilled chicken and onions with no sauce. We added pesto sauce and wow. The pizza was so delicious and had so much flavor. Krisztian then brought us out the best cheesecake I've ever had period! Everything about this dessert was screaming fresh and homemade. The crust was so buttery and the cheesecake had the right amount of sweetness. Also, they have happy hour 7 days a week!!!!! Their happy hour menu is outrageous and has something for everyone. After our 5th fish sandwich, we were ready for something at Destin. Pazzo's was perfect. The pizza is thin, chewy yet firm enough crust. Pasta was just right. We ordered a margarita pizza, starving and figured it would be a safe go to. The slices were thin (no problem with that typically) but when we picked up a slice, everything just slid off. Really loved my experience at Pazzo Italiano! We had a party of 7 and booked a reservation in advance for 7pm on a Friday night and they were ready to seat us when we arrived. The service was great! We had a super friendly waitress. We were there as a group for a bachelorette party and she gave the bride a free dessert which was so nice! We all got drinks, I really enjoyed the red wine I had. The table split the calamari and for my entree I had the Paccheri Della Mamma pasta. Everything was delicious!! The pasta was amazing and the calamari fresh. I seriously love this place so much. I try whatever special they have for that day whenever I come in and have truly never been disappointed. This is one of the only places I love to really venture out and try new dishes because it always exceeds my expectations. From appetizers, to entree, soup and desserts... I love every single one of them. If you're wanting to try a unique craft drink, this is also a must go place. I most recently had the soup of the day (some sort of chicken and broth soup, perfect for the cold night), the Gnocchi Special, and the Mint Chocolate Martini. In addition to the delectable cuisine, the staff are always so wonderful. I recently had Krisztian take care of me while sitting at the bar. He was extremely attentive, but let me enjoy my food in peace. Politely checked on me and offered suggestions when asked, but didn't over-chat me even though the bar area was slow. I appreciate that very much. Thank you for your kindness, Krisztian! The overall atmosphere is very cozy and we often bring our children with no complaints by other guests (IYKYK) . Disappointing dining experience last night. The staff seemed happy to keep plying alcohol to a table of 20 plus guys who were extremely drunk and rowdy. It's one thing when guys can't hold their liquor it's another when a restaurant enables bad behavior. I had literally two slices of my pizza and had the rest boxed to go! Very poor and possibly dangerous ambience. It was also Memorial Day and there was nothing offered for Veteran's which is also poor from the restaurant! read more

Pazzo Italian Kitchen was one of our favorite meals in Destin! We ordered the calzone and the capellini al pomodoro with shrimp, and both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The drinks were just as impressive--the watermelon margarita was refreshing, and the hazelnut chocolate martini was absolutely amazing and the perfect way to end the meal. One tip: make reservations! Finally a great Italian place in Destin! Our favorite is Ali's in Ft Walton but we have been staying closer to Miramar and it's too far to go for a vacation dinner. I was super excited to be able to make reservations and not have to wait for a table for 6. The bread and oil on the table was amazing. I think the bread was fresh baked in house. I loved the mocktail menu and really enjoyed the NA strawberry lemonade and bellini. I ordered the house salad and mussels with beans. The salad was great and I loved the creamy balsamic. The mussels and beans (appetizer) was plenty for a meal. They were good but needed a bit more flavor. The beans really soak up salt and it needed just a little more. The same bread from the table service was served with it (toasted). My kids got fettuccini alfredo (kids and adult portion). It was great for kids but again, needed a little something. They offered parmesan for topping and that would have been great for me, but my kids didn't want it. They liked it just fine. My husband ordered a pesto gnocchi and it was a little too basil-ey. BIL got lasagna and licked the plate clean -- and it was huge. Sister got a mushroom sausage pasta and loved it. The restaurant is really nice, well decorated, and great service. We were seated in the back section of the restaurant, which was a little less pretty, but it was still great. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area. read more

This place's food was so horrible I hope this review steers anybody who's even considering eating here far away. Mind you this food made me write a review for the first time in over 2 years, that's how bad it was. Firstly my family ordered two pizzas with one being pepperoni the other being meat lovers. I also ordered a fettuccine alfredo just to try alongside the pizza. The pasta had absolutely zero flavor and tasted like nothing, I've tasted better boxed frozen pasta and that is by no means an exaggeration. The pizza was burnt beyond belief, the manager/owner? tried explaining in a very condescending tone that "the pizza will always come out soggy/burnt like that because of the 900 degree wood ovens we cook with and the pizza only needing 90 seconds to cook" even though this is the case I doubt it excuses the absolutely burnt bottom of the pizza making it nearly inedible as every bite is just pure char. All in all it was a 0/5 experience but sadly I cannot rate it that, instead I hope this makes you reconsider eating here as it's the worst food I've had in a while and I genuinely don't know how this place is rated above 2 stars. read more

Delivery Pizza Review: the photos of this place look amazing and I would still love to try dining in. But after a Long Beach day we just wanted some really good pizza. This was not that. Toppings were fine, but the dough was thin (for brick oven style) and very soggy. When we bit into, we saw it hadn't even been cooked all the way. Excellent authentic Italian food. From pizzas to pasta this is a must restaurant when visiting Destin. There is plenty of parking being it is located in a plaza. The calamari was delicious and the bruschetta was some of the best I've had. You are given bread and dip upon sitting down and the olive oil was scrumptious with garlic and fresh herbs. The only thing I didn't care for was the cannoli we had for dessert. The cappuccino was super yummy and was offered in a nice size mug. Very nice change of palate from fried seafood by the beach.
