Place was just about empty when we showed up for lunch, took us quite a few minutes to be seated and the servers felt scattered. Overall the food was very subpar. Mozzarella sticks were undercooked, cheesesteak had zero seasoning and my fish tacos were still swimming in juice. I feel uneasy leaving here and do not recommend. We came to the restaurant while on vacation. The customer service was super slow. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at the table. The food was okay. Our waiter didn't take are order correctly and the food wasn't hot at all. For example I asked for a ceaser salad with no croutons the still put them on their. Out drinks sat at the bar and one was a frozen drink it started melting. I love this place, my favorite burger joint! Wish we had this back home. Only issue this trip server didn't seem to enthusiastic to talk with us- but she was still friendly. We had gotten one burger the " firehouse" they didn't tell us it was GHOST pepper , or even address what was in it. It also didn't say on the menu. Ended up douching the burger in it and thought our throats were going to close up. That was rough..... Maybe warn people that the sauce has ghost pepper that can be severely dangerous. OMGOSH!! The food here is amazing! We chose this place to try for something different that we haven't tried whenever on vacation here in Destin. We came here because they had many different food options so that even our pickiest eaters would have something to eat. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection and so tasty that we ordered more! They have indoor and outdoor dining and both areas are somewhat roomy. The place is very clean and in a great location too! My only complaint is that just like any vacation destination everything is so pricey but this place was definitely worth it!! Great service and delicious food. The decor and ambiance is extremely casual, very fitting for a beach town. We were immediately seated as soon as we arrived, and our server was quick to get drink orders. We all inquired about suggestions on the menu, as I was eying the fish tacos. She was honest and told me that she hadn't personally tried them, but it's one of the popular items on the menu. The order came with three well stuffed tacos. The slaw with the fish were a delicious combination. The portions are large, so unless you have a big appetite, expect left overs. read more

One thing I've noticed upon moving to this area is that a lot of the restaurants serve frozen dishes... not Fat Boys! Their burgers were so fresh... so juicy, well seasoned, no fillers, just yummy! The French fries were amazing! My friend got the wings... juicy, tender, delicious! The customer service was great... only complaint was that I missed happy hour by 15 minutes. Out trip to the harborwalk village is what brought us where actually while on our family vacation. We are down here with a Group of friends and had a party of 15. We had just finished a dolphin cruise at Destin snorkel and all the eateries at harborwalk had like 3 hour waits for our party size. So we called fat boys and they could sit us immediately. So we made the short walk. The decor here is very fun and funny. Who doesn't love fatboys? We were seated outside on a lovely patio area. Our service here was solid. I'm sure sure the worker was overwhelmed as they worked the table solo. The menu mainly consists of burgers. Not much diversity in the menu. I personally went with the sunrise burger with an egg on it. It was ok. Nothing special but I wouldn't say it was bad. A bit forgettable. Was served in Texas toast or frisco bread. So that was unique about it. My wife got an original with bacon and she said it was just ok. Nothing that knocked her socks off. The kids were at the other end of the table with there friends so I didn't get to see how they did won't here food. My oldest got some sort of burger and the others got kids menu items. When I asked them how there food was they Just said "good" with no elaboration. Overall I did like the vibe here. Cool place and funny gimmick. But outside of that they were kinda pedestrian and forgettable with a limited menu. Which is ok but if you are gonna have a limited menu I'd prefer the items be on it be memorable and great. I'd say it worth checking out if you have a large party and you are just tired of eating seafood that consists of what seems like 95 percent of the eateries in that area. read more

So Fatboys was another place to go to for food/burgers down here. We didn't go last year but we did after the brewery adventure across the bridge. We opted to come here and it wasn't very busy. The inside is diner like but, with a bar. They do serve alcohol and cocktails here. The merch was definitely cool as well. We were waited on almost right away and got the mozzarella triangles as an appetizer. We definitely conquered those. We both got burgers well done and their fries are potato wedge like fries like you would get from Wing Zone is how I would compare them. Definitely liked the burger and the fries. This was a place to stop by for a quick meal after a fun day. I ordered 6 honey hot wings with ranch. I liked that they were not stingy with their ranch but their ranch is watery. It is still edible but not what I'm use to compared to thicker ranch. My boyfriend got their pretzel nuggets with cheese. He enjoyed them. The server was kind and got the food out quickly. We'd driven by Fatboys a few times and didn't give it much thought- a small, plain brick building set right off the highway. Gave it a chance today for lunch and was not disappointed! Definitely a sports bar, nice decorations and a clean bar area. Small merch area in the back of the restaurant. We opted for a hush puppy appetizer with lemon pepper and blackened wings. Both were served hot with yummy Fatboys sauce and house ranch. Here's the thing- it's bar food. It's a bar. If that's not your vibe, you're probably not going to enjoy this spot. The Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich was fried to perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For an appetizer, I got the fried shrimp with boom boom sauce. The shrimp was cooked well, crispy, and the boom boom sauce was a crowd favorite. Don't overlook it! I went for lunch and was surprised how quiet it was. I got the Birria Tacos and a side of onion straws. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've included some pics. First the wait staff were so friendly. Shout out to Bree for taking such great care of Helen Keller and I. The burger was delicious. I had the Bacon burger dressed up with all the veggies. I had a bottle of Chardonnay. I like their fries. Like little triangle wedges fried to perfection. They serve Josh at a very reasonable price compared to other places. They put down really soft thick artificial turf which my 10y/o greatly appreciated. The outside deck is huge. They have plants on top lining the top of the deck giving it an isolated from traffic noise, cozy feel. I didn't go inside, sorry I don't have a photo of that, and why I didn't take a pic of the menu is beyond me. It was my first visit but certainly will not be my last! I went at lunch, but I imagine how they have the lights strung it's just beautiful at night. read more

My boyfriend and I visited this place today around 1500 despite the other poor reviews....we walked in and waited to be seated for about 5 minutes and the two ladies that were there, one hostess and one behind the bar, pretended like we were invisible or like we didn't belong there even though they walked right past us multiple times. When the girl behind the bar FINALLY asked how many were in our party and was about to sit us down, the hostess told her she didn't want to seat anyone for about another 15 minutes (although there were 3 or 4 empty tables). So we left...not because of the wait but because the trailer park trash had no common decency. Never will visit again and do not recommend is you're a brown person. We ended up going down the street to The Craft Bar where the hostess was waving and smiling as soon as we got to the door. The service, atmosphere, and food there was 10/10. The steak fries are "eh". Worst of all it was over $20 for my burger. I got it for takeout and they have a mandatory $4 tip. Way overpriced. There are better burgers around for cheaper.
