Best pizza I ever had! I literally drive an hour and a half just for the garlic shrimp Parmesan pizza.

I came in hungry and left emotionally attached to this pizza. The crust had the perfect crunch-to-chew ratio (yes, that's a scientific term), the sauce tasted actually fresh, and the cheese pull was so dramatic it deserved its own slow-motion video. Everyone at the table went quiet for a minute, which is how you know it's serious. This is the kind of pizza that makes you plan your next visit while still eating. 10/10, would absolutely burn the roof of my mouth again. I will be back. We were here on a spring break trip with our family and placed a pretty large order, around $180. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being really frustrating. The biggest issue was the wait and the lack of communication. We had no way to track the order or get an estimated time, and every time we tried calling for an update, we were put on hold for over 20 minutes. At one point, my sister and I even called separately and neither of us was able to get through to anyone. When the order finally arrived, the food was cold, which was really disappointing after waiting so long. They had also forgotten our drinks, which we paid about $12 for. Overall, between the long wait, no communication, and missing items, it just was not a great experience. With better communication and more attention to order accuracy, it could have been a lot better. read more

We had our pizza delivered DoorDash. It came quickly and it was hot. The pizza was really good. I like the hand toss crust, as it is crispy on the bottom. Plentiful toppings of sausage, green pepper, red onion, and mushrooms. We all enjoy here a lot. Would definitely get another pizza from the establishment. read more

My favorite pizza place in Destin Florida!!! Every time I travel to Destin, I order Merlin's pizza (usually 3-4 times). I love the flavor of the sauce and pizza is always cooked just how I like it. I switch between thin crust and hand tossed, and they are both equally delicious! I've introduced quite a few people to this quaint little joint and they are now regulars. Oh pizza! This qualifies as a whole in the wall kinda place. Or a hidden gem! Their pizzas are thick crust but well done. The taste is amazing and original. They have one big table that can accommodate eight people, 3 small booths and 3 larger booths. A lot of people came to pick up food while we were there. Service was great! We had a party of 11 and everything came in a timely manner but most importantly it was correct. I will totally visit again. read more

I have to eat a low fodmap diet and I found out about this gluten free pizza and had to try. It didn't hurt my stomach at all and it was the best pizza I've had that tastes just like pizza with gluten in it. I got the 7 cheese. Omg it was SO good. I'm sad because I don't have one closer to me. I would get it all the time. Guess I'll have to visit Destin again! They also were right on time with the time they gave for pick up. We love Merlin's THIN crust pizza and their drizzle bottles. The Hot honey is my FAVE and my kids love all things chicken and bacon. They ordered the Buffalo chicken and the chicken bacon pizzas and loved them both. The only negative I have is that the online ordering system needs improvement. It kept giving us an error when trying to order. When we called the store to ask about it, they said the website gets overloaded and to keep trying it and that was quite frustrating, but we have had the pizza before and were willing to keep trying because the pizza is that good. The Date night dinner drawing was Merlin's. It's small local pizza place that has been here since 1999. Homemade sauces and dough. Definitely recommend. Portion's were large and they DO NOT skimp on the pizza toppings. They have eat in (small and few seats) or you can order to go. read more

We stopped in Merlin's while in the area on vacation. It was around 6pm, so getting to be dinner rush. We luckily were able to get one of the last open tables in the small space. We had a wonderful server. We shared garlic butter cheese bread which came with marinara. It was incredible. We each got small 10" pizzas as we wanted to try other flavors/share. We got the 7 cheese white pizza, the Main Street smoker which came with a garlic sauce swiralalizer, and the caprese which came with a balsamic glaze swirlalizer. For the white pizza and the Main Street pizza we ordered them on hand tossed crust. For the caprese we ordered it on the thin crust. We all agreed the thin crust was the way to go because the hand tossed is very thick, but it was still delicious. The service was great, the food was even better. read more

Loved loved Merlins! We ordered Pepperoni Pizza, Cheesy Bread, and Sweet Chili Wings! Everything was delicious! The pizza sauce tasted homemade and wasn't sweet which was great! We were pretty disappointed that it took about 45 minutes to get our pizza, but the driver seemed to have a lot of orders. I would say the pizza was good, but not amazing. Best pizza for real!! Been eating it for 20+ years. Their menu is inventive with bolder flavor combinations alongside traditional pizzas. Extremely flavorful and high quality stuff. Poor hostess/seating. We brought friends from out of town and were extremely disappointed in the manner we were treated. Initially we were directed to a table that needed to be cleared, then we were asked to stand outside while it was being done. Came back inside and other customers had been seated there. Asked to speak to manager who didn't know what to do. This was a chaotic mess so we just left.
