I have tried several nail salons in the area and I have to say, Luminous Nails is fabulous. Aaron is professional and does an excellent job. He treats me with respect as I do him. Although this place accepts walk ins, Aaron is happiest when I call and make my appointment and I am on time. There is very little small talk which is fine by me! They were extremely accommodating because I called the morning of for an appointment and they were able to fit me in on a Friday afternoon for three people. It was not busy when we showed up, but it definitely got busy by the time we left. People were just walking in and they were definitely spread thin. At some point they asked people in the waiting area to come back at another time, the whole place was full. At the beginning they took their time, it was relaxing and comfortable but towards the end you could tell that if one was behind the others, she was rushing to catch up. And then eventually every one of the ladies was just rushing to get us out and help the next person. Overall, it was good. But he always has me looking sharp !I can't understand any negative reviews because I have been pleased every time I go. The staff is friendly and the salon is immaculate. Reviews have said that Arron was rude or curt with them - I find this ridiculous. when I call, he picks up the phone and greets me by name. if there is no availability, he finds a different time for me. I get gel which is just 35. They have a wide variety of color options and the technicians are friendly and efficient. The manager of the store is always there, greets everyone and does nails too which I think is impressive. I used to go to this nail salon regularly. I will NEVER go back again. Aaron used to do my nails. He is incredibly rude and would constantly complain about how I wanted the shape of my nails. Stiletto- not difficult. I came in at least 3x a month for repairs, fills, Polish changes, etc. and always tipped $10 for every service. It got to the point where he started throwing the nail file on the table and would let me shape them myself. He would go to the back or start assisting with someone else's nails. The final straw was when I called and made an appointment one morning at 9:45am for later that evening. When I arrived, he was visibly angry that I came in and TOLD me I cut in on someone else's appointment. Someone else has double booked him. I showed him my call log. It didn't matter. He was still angry. He walked away from the station I was sitting at and started speaking loudly in Vietnamese. All the other workers looked at me. I said "I know you're talking about me." He replies with "Yeah I'm talking about the shape of your nails." Such a poor way to operate a business. I never really write negative reviews, but since I've been to so many other nail salons where the ppl have been SO polite, nice and kind, I've realized this guy is just a nasty person. He didn't even do that great of a job - the salon was just close to my place. Unprofessional. If you don't like working with people, get a different job. read more

I chose dipping over acrylic because I didn't want my natural nail destroyed which they did anyway and within three days four nails broke off so it was a complete waste. The good, Ivy, she is very nice , easy going and did a great job on my toe nails. The bad , the rude owner Bin, I am always early for my appts and I have been coming for several years. The one time I was 10 minutes late I was lectured to and they gave my appt away. I waited 45 min. She did about less than one minute massage on each of my hands and arms with a gross oil that I had to wash off for quite a while in the sink that had no towels to dry off with.
