Food is mostly decent, but that's the best I can say about Merone's. We've been patronizing them for years because we don't have many delivery options in our area. But we have been putting up with horrendous service for far too long and tonight was the final straw. They almost never get a delivery order right. You name it ... they've screwed it up. No dressing with the salads ... forgot the rolls ... missed one of the entrees. When you call to complain, they won't refund your credit card for what they missed. They say "we'll make up for it next time" but they never do. I don't know if it's the kitchen staff or the delivery drivers who pack up the orders, but it doesn't really matter. They just don't seem to care about customer service at Merone's. So we no longer care about them. Addio Merone's. read more

After work, my friend and I tried eating in Merone's. When we entered the restaurant, I love the classy style this restaurant have. I tried their pizza because I know Italians have the best pizza. And I was not wrong with that. I love their pizza, it is delicious with thin and crispy crust.The Italian flavor on the food made it perfect. Excellent!! They catered a lunch at my work and were very nice. The food was excellent. We had lobster ravioli, chicken marsala, and bread. I had a pizza from Buon Appetito, theyre restaurant and it was awesome! The cheese came off quickly though, but other than that, great! I would recommend this catering company to anyone! read more

I found Buon Apetito on yelp a few months ago and the reviews are correct- the food is outstanding. The sicilian pizza tastes like my Italian home town pizza. The pasta dishes are huge and obviously prepared fresh. They give very generous servings of meat, and the dinner rolls are to die for. Delivery sometimes takes a while but it's worth the wait. Delicious and looking forward to using Merone's for future catered events. read more

My wife, mother-in-law, and a few friends stopped by here for dinner two weekends ago. It's in the middle of an office park but its totally worth coming to. The food is good and portions, befitting an Italian place, are generous. We had the Veal, some seafood dishes and calamari appetizer. One of the nicest touches of the evening was when I got a bottle of crodino (an Italian aperitif) one of the staff "want a glass w/ ice and lemon." Nice touch as that is how one is supposed to enjoy it. The staff were incredibly friendly and I ended out talking to the owner,Giuseppe, for awhile. He's got that great came fro Italy as a youngster and then worked hard and got ahead in the US. It was one of the nicest chats I've ever had with a business owner. My wife and I arranged the catering for our wedding with Merone's, and we could not have been more satisfied. We met with their wedding coordinator for a free consultation, where we were plied with tons of delicious food, from meatballs to crab cakes to delicious cakes. They were incredibly generous and everything we ate was astounding, we even had enough leftovers from that event to feed ourselves for days. Merone's worked with us to design a passed hors d'oeuvres meal, with italian meatballs, falafel, chicken satay (with peanut sauce), vegetarian tacos, and summer rolls. They were able to put together a range of international cuisine, and make each thing taste excellent in its own right. They made sure we absolutely had enough food (and then some) for our event, even while remaining at a very affordable price. Their staff were friendly and professional, and always quick to respond to emails or questions. I think the most telling thing is that they pulled my wife and I aside just after our cocktail hour so that we could sit in a back room and eat several small plates before interacting with everyone else. Got a large pizza to go. 14 dollars for half cheese half pepperoni. Not a bad price. The pizza was average at best. Looking at the rest of the menu it looked like they had a lot to offer. The lunch and dinner pasta meals seemed a little pricy for the one $ indicator. I'll probably go back again to try a sub and the wings. read more

We came here with my fiance's sister and boyfriend, who didn't really specify that it wasn't a fancy sit down-style restaurant..so we came in all dressed up and were extremely shocked and weary that it was just a little pizza place. They kept insisting it was worth it while laughing at us so we tried to keep an open mind. I really liked it! I got lobster ravioli and it was the best I've had so far. The portions are huge as they should be. My fiance got chicken parm that they loved. Even though I'm Italian, I cannot stand typical Italian style pasta dishes because it's so standard and I didn't find it particularly good but I guess thats just me being picky, because both boys INHALED their food. Like I said, the portions are huge so that was an incredible feat. The salads they gave us came with a house made balsamic dressing that was absolutely delicious. This is my go to spot for my work lunch! The lunch deals are great and the portions are even better! I usually get the lunch spaghetti with meat sauce which comes with a small side salad and 3 little rolls. I've never been able to finish it since portions are big but I always either eat it for dinner or save it for tomorrow's lunch. I absolutely love Merone's. I come here at least once or twice a week for lunch and have not had a bad experience yet. The owners are all very nice, you can definitely tell it is a family run business and they treat us like we are guests in their home every time we come. The lunch specials are awesome. I go with my boyfriend and we get a lunch special to share and it is more than enough food for both of us. The pizza is amazing as well, and is the reason we started coming here on a regular basis. It's honestly the best that I have had in sterling so far. I would recommend Merone's to anyone. The only thing to keep in mind is that it gets very busy at lunch and seating might be a problem if you come with a large group seeing as how the tables are somewhat close together and there isn't a lot of tables to begin with (I think there's 6 total?). But like I said I go a couple times a week and never have issues getting a table. read more

I have tried multiple items on the menu and have never once been disappointed. I usually place my order ahead of time and then pick up later for take-out, which is always on time. It's a great place to get a large, delicious lunch. Usual favorites are the chicken paisano, meatball sub, various pizza options, and the Greek salad. They are a restaurant/catering company and located in a "business park", so if you don't know it's back there...you'd never just come across it. My husband and I just ate here for dinner. Food was good and place was clean, friendly and casual. Basic hole in the wall Italian restaurant. We shared the chicken parm and they were nice to separate it for us. It was more than enough so we brought a doggie bag home. Salad dressing was delicious as reviews stated. Wow. Have enjoyed the pizza for years. Timely delivery and good prices. Very bad experience today. Very bad customer relations. Never received order. Gave up after two hours waiting. Called for an update after an hour and a half and had to give up. Called back as courtesy at two to tell them not to bother and phone was dead. Hope the airline catering business is doing well. Amazing!!! A hidden gem. Foods delicious and quick. Nice, polite service. If you actually go there, the restaurant is clean and large. Our family has been going to Merone's and Buon Appetitto in Chantilly since both restaurants opened. The food is outstanding, as are the owners and staff. We've not only eaten at both, but have used their catering services many times for personal and business events. Our guests raved about the food - delicious, plentiful and we have always been very pleased with their service! If you have not tried either location, you need to make a point to go. As a New Yorker & an Italian, I'm very picky about my pizza and sauces. But the first time we tried their food, we knew we'd always be back for more. Enjoy - Salute!! read more
