Lucia's is a small, Italian mom and pop spot featuring brick-oven pizza, house made sweet treats and a full service bar. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza to-go for lunch. AMAZING! Crispy bottom just how I love it. Cheesy was nice and gooey. All pizza is made-to-order, so I had about an 8-minute wait which was well worth it. It was so good I came back a couple days later and got a full box to-go! My family always orders pizza from here. On Tuesday they have half off pizza so it's super cheap. Definitely the best pizza in the area.

Mixed thoughts. Lovely restaurant with lovely staff. But, I ordered cannelloni that was supposed to have broccoli, onions and mushrooms in addition to beef and tomato sauce according to their menu. But when I got it, it was beef and tomato sauce with spices. We had just completed a 10 mile bike ride so I was not in the mood to send it back to the kitchen. I've had some good meals here, but I've also seen the attitude the two owners have copped (as others have seen) and unhappy staff. Unfortunately, that docks it one . One time I went in to get a 18" pepperoni pizza for takeout, and the one owner seemed annoyed that was all I was getting. Sorry, I was by myself and that was several good meals for me. read more

Excellent Italian restaurant; really stands out among the hordes of Italian eateries in VA/DC/MD area. Located in the quieter corner of a shopping plaza, it's a nice little getaway that also sells meats, cheeses, pastas, sauces, etc. There's a nice bar area and good wine/beer list, if a little short. Service is excellent and personable, and the food is EXCEPTIONAL. I had lasagna, and it's sooooooo good! Lucia's tasted like an authentic Italian Sunday dinner! I had the pasta e fagioli soup that's not pictured but was so good! The broth had so much flavor and the pasta and veggies were perfectly good. Honestly, I had to stop myself from buying and order to take home. The chicken parmigiana was huge and so delicious! The white pizza was probably the best white I've had in my 23 years of life!!! Went with my cousin and daughter. It was not crowded as it was weekday at noon, but wait staff was extremely in a rush to get us out. I have been a customer of Lucia's since they opened and I love the food, the atmosphere, the wait staff are excellent! The negative review I have given in the past as well as other negative reviews posted by others is due to the Managers/Owners behavior and sadly, tonight is no different. I ordered a cocktail at the bar and I noticed the Waiter had to call Sam (an owner) to watch him pour the alcohol into my drink. Sam was at the front so the waiter had to take the alcohol from the bar so he could watch. Sam told him when to stop pouring. It took a second and he was admonished for "using too much alcohol". I can assure it was NOT too much or an over pour...I doubt it was even a shot and this was not because the Waiter is new (he's not). I thought I had seen this happen other times but wasn't sure until tonight. I don't even know what else to say. It does make one wonder what else are they skimping on. Sooo disappointing. read more

The convenience of Lucia's near Lowes Island has brought us here a few times. We've only done takeout at this point, but the service has always been fast and friendly. The food is consistently decent. I've had a Italian sub a few times there- its a good portion size with fresh deli meat, but its not as good as the Italian Store subs. Our daughter absolutely loves the spaghetti and meatballs and requests it often. Some of the other dishes we've had are standard Italian fare- good but not crave worthy. Its a good neighborhood spot that I'm sure we will continue to come back to. read more

I love the ambiance of this place. It is truly Italian. My first experience with this restaurant was not dining. There was one of the employees (or owner, I don't know) sitting outside and asked me if he can help me with something. I asked if they sell prosciutto in the deli. He said he has no ready at the moment, but just went in and sold me a package they had sliced for the use in kitchen. I came back to buy prosciutto multiple time. It is delicious! One time we just did not feel like cooking and came for dinner. We were not disappointed and definitely will be coming back! read more

My wife and I have been going to Lucia's for the past 6 months on a regular basis. After last Thursday I don't think we will be going back. Like others who have reviewed, we had a run-in with the owner. I ordered Lasagna and a large salad and my wife and I decided to share since we both weren't very hungry. The Lasagna was terrible. Very little meat or noodles, and almost all of it was cheese. My wife decided she was going to let someone know we weren't happy. Just so happens that the first person to walk past our table was the owner. My wife said "excuse me sir, but I just wanted to let you know that this lasagna has very little meat. It is nothing but cheese." The owner grabbed a fork and started to poke around at our lasagna. He managed to find a few pieced of meat in the lasagna and rudely said, "There's a piece of meat, and there is another piece of meat. There is meat in this lasagna! We have been making the lasagna the same way for 12 years, and no one has complained!!" As we were almost finished eating he can back to our table with small little container with meat sauce, slammed it on our table, said "HERE," and walked away, his demeanor was so disrespectful.. The food was okay, but the service was just horrible! After we ate, we went back to our car where two women in a white car pulled up and scratched our vehicle. Both woman refused to even say sorry, then proceeded to walk in this establishment. Turns out they either are employees or owners. Lucia's won! We had a pizza shoot out over six weeks. We chose four independent pizza parlors from the surrounding area. These were "Non Box Pizza Chains". For four weeks we ordered two large pizza's. Ranking each pizza as it compared the week before. On the fifth week we chose the two lowest ranked pizzas to preform a face off. One pizza from parlor X and one pizza from parlor Y. On the sixth and final week was a face off with the two best pizza's. This was the Championship! One pizza from parlor B and one pizza from parlor A. The weight of Lucia's pizza was surprisingly much heavier than the other. Lucia's was the clear winner of the BEST pizza in Reston, Ashburn, Sterling, and Potomac Falls. read more
