Fantastic store, and excellent service! Being a 'newly reaquainted' owner/shooter, I've been trying to find places I feel comfortable shopping from selection & prices to quality of service. Merrimack Firearms is a welcoming business that so far has provided a very down to earth approach to sales, and the prices have been at or below 'bigger stores'. This weekend i settled on a Leupold Delta Point Pro red dot for my favorite pistol and not ONLY did MF have the best price by FAR, but they even mounted it and aligned it for me at no charge! Exceptional service I was not expecting! I dont want this review to be about other dealers, but its worth mentioning that another local dealer makes VERY clear their position in their signage, and frankly it's pretty off-putting. No matter your opinions, when you outwardly express them, you are alienating 50% of your potential clientele, in my case folks with ability to buy. Not at MF. Decent selection for the size of the store, new guns instead of used cheap 1911 or 9mm, and good amount of accessories and holsters. Slightly above the average small gun shop in terms of service, unless showing up at lunch time: most of the employees would continue eating their lunch as you walk in, barely acknowledging you and certainly not interested in interrupting their lunch. Luckily, the old timer of the store has far more professionalism than the rest of the crew combined and saves the day. All in all not a terrible experience if one knows what to expect from a small New England gun shop, but not necessarily a place I would go out of my way to drive to. read more

Solid establishment, good selection of firearms for the store size, about medium sized and can by crowded but the staff is helpful. Good selection of optics and accessories too! Gunsmith on site is a plus! Had them install sights on a few firearms. They have a training facility adjacent to the shop but I have not used that service. I think it's a laser-based target system. Had a great experience here today after having left their competitor down the street because of their new mandatory no mask policy. The guys at Merrimack Firearms were friendly and very informative. They even have an NRA certified instructor that I'm going to book some classes with. Oh, and my mask was a non issue to them! It can be intimidating to enter a firearms dealer's store. I've had a few bad experiences in other NH gun stores. These guys (literally everyone who works there), are incredibly nice and patient. Humble, helpful, gentlemen walk you through each firearms's characteristics to ensure that you get exactly what you need. I never feel pressure there, and they are the ONLY gun dealer I will ever patronize going forward. If I see an sale online or ad in the paper for a firearm that I'd like to buy, I go to Merrimack Forearms to purchase it. Thank you, guys! read more

Want to share my experience from ~5 weeks ago. Finally decided to apply for a couple NFA items and was recommended to work with the team at Merrimack Firearms. Before going in, though had done my up front research and wanted to ensure to follow along with the process and can tell you the owner and employees made the process enjoyable as it can be a little overwhelming. From the minute I entered the shop, was met by Drew with a comfortable greeting, non-pressured "Let me know when you are ready or have any questions." as he directed me to the items of interest. Best part was if Drew didn't have the answer, Evan did and even gave more recommendations based on owning and experience with the product. Worked with the owner Steve towards the end and walked through the kiosk process and they even stayed open past closing to allow me to finish in the store vs. logging back in from home to finish. Few items needed to be completed from home and three (3) days later, back at the shop, some different team members and have to say, same level of "world class" customer service. To Steve and his team over at Merrimack Firearms, appreciate the patience, knowledge and excellent customer service throughout the entire process. Now, if we could only get the ATF on track to improve their turn-around times and process, things would be perfect... Thanks again and know the last 12-14 months have been hectic for anyone in the FFL industry, however working with the team over at Merrimack Firearms it is business as usual. I barely do reviews but I'm a MA resident and I exclusively purchase accessories and ammo here. Both the owner and employees have all been great. These guys took the time to explain the different carry ammos in 9mm and even recommend a type that Id never even heard of. Turns out it functions flawlessly and is the perfect fit for my needs. Went back to purchase a box in .380 and he took the timeto confirm that I try it out first because in his experience it didn't function in his g42. I would not even give this place a 1 star but 0 stars is not a option. Steve was less than helpful and profiled us as soon as we walked in the door. We were not greeted with a hello, like everyone else that walked in the door. We were ignored even after we showed interest in a gun. After we unfortunately got stuck with Steve as our customer service representative, he seemed very annoyed by any questions we even asked. Considering it was my first time purchasing a gun, you would think that somebody would want to be helpful and explain things to me. That was not the case. Steve shuffled us out of the way and pawned us off on somebody else so he could help new people that just walked in. Unfortunately I did not get the gentleman's name that assisted us with the checkout process but he was very kind and helpful. My mom, who owns plenty of weapons (and is registered/licensed in Massachusetts to own and carry a firearm), was there to help and was also purchasing this as a gift for me however he asked her to leave and my husband so new people could come in even though we were still talking about a gun that we were purchasing. Customer service is everything. I will definitely never ever give them any more of my business. UPDATE: after writing this review (and after the purchase of a gun) the owner, Steve, said that he is giving us back a refund and will not give us the gun or sell us anything and then tried to explain why he was rude to me, my husband and my mom (a Massachusetts licensed gun holder).
