He let me ship a Ruger LC9S Pro to mass for a transfer in MA. He knew it wasn't on the approved list in MA (too light of a trigger pull, compared to the regular LC9), and the transfer was going to be impossible, It cost me another background check and anther transfer fee to get my own gun back. I have bought 3 handguns from him in the past. His guns are overpriced. Shop around. I will go to Merrimack Firearms next time. It was ultimately up to me to do the research, however someone in the business "helping" me should have known. I won't go there again. read more

I emailed the owner about selling my gun. was told to bring it in so he could look at it, this after sending the model number and info. I traveled 40 plus miles and brought the gun inside, only to be told the owner was out and to come back another day. after explaining I traveled the young fellow told me he would have to see how much cash he had. he then took my new gun, shot one time, with my new bushel scope , and told me the gun was only worth 140 dollars. when I said the scope was worth more than that, he told me if I had the box the gun came in he would give me 100 more for it. the gun listed new for 600 and the scope 300. this younger guy was not only rude and obnoxious but didn't seem to have any idea. what he didn't know was I was going to use the trade value for another gun there. it was my 1st time in the shop and my last. being a hunter most of my 57 years I will be sure to spread the word of how wonderful I was treated by this professional young guy. read more

I happened to be passing by and decided to stop in and look for some ammo. I have a Winchester Model 94 in .32 Winchester Special. A great gun but finding ammo for it is a challenge. I was thrilled when they had 2 boxes of Hornady Leverevolution at a reasonable (2022) price. Nice selection of pistols and rifles as well, friendly staff too. read more

I have bought ammunition and firearms here before. I am always treated well. The workers are better than the owner to deal with, when doing business. The owner is ok to speak with but I have yet to form an opinion of him. For a very small shop, they have a lot of everything there. Unlike the bigger shops that focus on black shiny rifles and Tupperware pistols, they have walnut and blued steel firearms from years past as well that have a place in my heart. Milford Firearms is very accessible and friendly to new gun owners. The gentleman I spoke to was more than happy to spend half an hour with me discussing the ins and outs of keeping a revolver for home defense. They sold me a solid performer, a Ruger revolver. Anyway, it's a small shop with a decent selection of revolvers, pistols, and long arms. The prices seem fair for the guns. Ammunition can be on the high side. Owner had an attitude problem. Was not impressed with the store or his demeanor at all. Went in to sell him some rifles and he offered me half of what another place did. Once I told him that he wouldn't even talk to me and pretty much told me to leave his store. His loss because I went back to the other place and spent quite a bit of money. I can't say enough positive things about Nick and Milford Firearms! I have been a customer for a number of years now and I've always been happy with everything I've purchased there. What really sets this small business apart from others (aside from not being "Dicks" and still carrying AR15. Why?! The owner is very helpful and will do FFL transfers from online purchases for $35 dollars civilian, $25 for military. I have purchased a few guns from here. In house inventory is modest to moderate, but they make up for it by ordering and shipping to the store in one to two weeks, so you can practically get anything if you know what your looking for. Stopped by for the first time to compare ammo to my regular gun shop, I left purchasing a firearm and a new gun shop. Customer service is excellent, as anyone who has dealt with multiple shops would know, sometimes dealers are less than friendly and expect you to know what they know. I have purchased here several times, and have sent several friends from work here, as well. Nick (the owner) has always treated all of us fairly, with VERY good prices for guns (sometimes leaving him only $25 for profit). My friends who came here were taking a chance, as we work out on the seacoast, but they were surprised by the deals they get. If Nick does not have what you want in stock, he will be more than happy to order it, and will have it to you in a very short time. never go to this shop ever, i traded two working guns, received way under trade alue for a piece of s**t pump action shotgun that i was assured would function properly and completely failed mechanically just by putting it on the rack. when i went to exchange it for a working gun the owner shook the wepon and forced it to work. they do not care about customers at all and basically sold me a firearm thats more capable of doing harm to the handler than a target. buyer beware they don't give a f**ck about your safety. con men. will never return you shouldn't either ( for your own safety) read more

Milford Firearms has few firearms in stock, but it does have an owner willing to place special orders with promises of decent prices and speedy delivery. Unfortunately, that is all a scam. You will never receive your firearms. If you believed, as another reviewer pointed out, his story about his "temporarily" broken credit card machine and paid cash, you will be unable to contact your credit card company to file a complaint and recover your money. Instead, you will receive a mountain of lies and excuses. As many people have, you will find yourself resorting to a lawsuit to recover your money. The owner, Nick D'augustine, will ignore your complaint to the Better Business Bureau as he has done repeatedly, leading to the F rating his business has received. You can also file a fraud complaint with the NH Attorney General, as others have. (Do a consumer complaint search on the NH AG website.) All the while, D'augustine will drench you with a cascading waterfall of lies about why an order he promised in less than a week is somehow still not fulfilled after months of waiting. Don't get soaked. Save yourself some heartache and don't become a victim of this fraudster. read more

One of the best firearms stores I have been to since I moved to New Hampshire! I went in to Milford firearms after having some serious problems with a different firearms store over pricing me and lying about many things. Long story short, I walked in and was immediately impressed with their customer service and desire to help find what I need. My glock 19's front sight had a little excess metal on it and made it difficult to shoot accurately. Milford Firearms with no questions asked, offered to replace the front sight for me at no cost! Pack of lies, I looked them up online called looking for a glock the guys nick said they had them in the store. I drove 25miles to find a all most bare store ( 80% emtpy) and no glock nick then tried to sell me some junk they got on trade. I left the store drove down a bit and called them again this time asking for s&w 38 nickel with black rubber grip simple gun I knew they did have. Nick answer the phone and once a again said he had one in stock. So I went back and once again no gun. After calling nick on his bs he didn't have any thing to say.. Milford firearms is a total waste of time they have no inventory just lies? I ordered a Blackhawk Holster for the Pistol I bought from Milford Firearms. I ordered this holster and paid for it on 8/29/2012. I was told it would be in in two weeks. As of today it has still not arrived 10/18/12. Everytime I call the store to inquire about the holster I get the same response " I am waiting for a big order to come in." I checked Blackhawk website on a reqular basis and they have it in stock. I will consider the the money I gave them 73.00 for the holster a loss. But will never shop from them again. read more

Had a great experience at Milford Firearms. As a woman and someone new to the shooting sports, I appreciated the friendly atmosphere and the service I received. Nick answered all of my questions, didn't try to upsell me, and didn't talk down to me because of my gender or lack of experience. I purchased my first shotgun and Nick told me to bring it back after I used it for the first time and he'd teach me to clean it. I thought he might be just saying that, but after my first round of target shooting I gave him a call and he was true to his word. BUYER BEWARE. The owner of this store, epitomizes what gives gun owners a bad name. Every shady stereotype you can think of is personified in this shop. Recently with the Ammo shortage I have been looking for .22 LR, and stopped by this shop to see if he had any. He says sure its in the back corner. He had 10 Winchester Super X, 100 rounds. I was surprised to see the price of $19.99 each on there. These normally go for around $8 each at any reputable Gun store. On the way home I drove by Wal*Mart and thought, why not stop in and see if they have any. The Sporting Goods manager says, no you just missed it, I had 10 boxes of Winchester this morning. I said ahhh weird the guy at Milford Firearms had that many just now. Sure enough he went on a rant about how he is in there EVERY DAY trying to buy everything they have to resell in his store, and has many other people stop in and troll for ammo. The manager also says he gives many of his clerks a hard time and tries to strong arm them into selling MORE than their daily limit, All that is just my own personal opinion, and I would strongly warn prospective buyers about doing business here. Very disappointing to see someone trying to profit so greatly with this kind of price gouging. I'd give it 0 stars if Yelp let me! read more
