We were seated right away and the food came out fast after ordering. would come back for the rolls and try something else. I wanted to try the siding pouch but they were all out. So we tried their best seller Tinaga rolls in a spoon and they were delicious. I would go back just for those. The platter of seafood wasnt bad but looked smaller compared to the picture.

Local food, quite good for the value. Arrive here at Sunday afternoon 2:30pm so luckily there is no queue. Services are good, good place for family reunion.

First time eater and definitely coming back. Food here was great. I would suggest driving their…read morefamous sugarcane calamansi juice for starters. We had the calamari for appetizers. The portion was moderate and it can feed 2 people. It was hot and crunchy and the sauce was pretty good. The pinakbet with pork liempo was awesome, please keep in mind that pinakbet in some regions are cooked without the sabaw (sauce). The eggplant was definitely fried. The bitter melon and the kombucha squash were steamed well. The pork was super crunchy!!! Please also note that one order of pinakbet will probably good for 2 people but I can definitely devour it on my own! The kare kare with crispy pork was also good. The sauce was slurry and not too thick. The string beans, banana heart (puso ng saging) and bok choy were steamed and cooked well. They were not soggy but crunchy. Also the eggplant was fried and added with the sauce. When you order kare kare it automatically comes with sautéed shrimp paste. This dish alone will probably feed 4 people. Overall the service was great, we did not wait long for the food, and we were seated right away since we arrived there around 11:45ish. The restaurant was clean and quite cozy. There's one bathroom for both genders. Total of all the meals including 1 sugarcane calamansi juice refill P1745.00 (also includes gratuity charges).

FOOD 3.0 (Prices stated below includes S.C. and Tax) Tinumok (238 PHP) Molo (147 PHP) You get a Pork and shrimp wanton dumpling and a lot of soup. Soup is always a nice starter to any meal, but I feel that this bowl doesn't feel as refreshing with oil being a surplus. Pinalutong na Tilapia (415 PHP) Drunken Tilapia with chili sauce or soy sauce, kalamansi and chili. An underwhelming dish that's not worth its weight. Their food that made our love for Filipino food ablaze were the following: 1) Okoy (P125) - It has sweet potato and shrimps deep-fried until crisp to perfection, and topped with fresh spring onions and carrots. Eating it with the served sugarcane vinegar dip truly stimulated our appetites. 2) The Tinumok (P195) - It is coconut noodles wrapped in taro leaves but soaked in coconut cream and shrimp mixture. The added heat of the chili pepper made the chewy dish more uniquely delicious. 3) Pianggang (P 290) - It is perfectly grilled coconut-infused chicken topped with a special Tausug paste. We didn't know we'd want it until we tried it and the fresh vegetables added variety on its taste. 4) Alab's Fried Rice (195) - This is good for sharing. It has turmeric which its peppery and warm flavors were balanced with the shrimp, eggs, and spring onions. 5) New York Cubao Bibingka Cheesecake (P140) - It is a Filipino traditional rice cake that is sweet because of the tart base and cream of the New York-style cheesecake. But it is also, at the same time, salty because of the salted egg. We get to make its taste sweeter with the drizzled muscovado syrup on the side, and the grated coconut and cherry on top. 6) Laing Ice Cream (P100) - It is certainly for those who have a penchant for Bicol's spicy taro and coconut milk dish or simply has an adventurous taste bud. 7) Kamote Q (P100) - It pleases those who have a sweet tooth with the texture of sweet potato felt and the taste of caramelized brown sugar tasted in each spoon. Overall, Alab's passion for Filipino food tapped our unfamiliar fondness for Philippine culinary culture ablaze.
