He had full site of her while he proceeded to try to make me move my car while she was just a few feet away when I had been there for less than TWO MINUTES. He should be picking up trash. This is a tiny airport, but I am glad it's there. There are only like two or three gates and limited food options. The rental car area is very easy to find if you need that. We landed and very quickly got our bags from the baggage claim, theres only one belt so it wasnt confusing. I was happy to find a restroom outside the gates to change my clothes before heading into the hot desert sun. This airport is far out there, takes about ten or fifteen minutes to get into St George proper. Not a bad experience at all, but not one of the better small airports I've encountered either.

You simply head down the escalator toward the iconic "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign (which is definitely worth stopping for a photo!), and from there, the signage clearly directs you to the appropriate tram based on your airline. I also had a question about getting to public transportation, and one of the employees at the airport help desk was extremely helpful. They explained that either tram would take me to the transportation area, which made the process much easier. I didn't check any luggage, so I headed straight to the taxi area, and one thing I really appreciated was how organized everything was. This is something I always pay attention to while traveling. Similar to what I've experienced at O'Hare and the New Orleans airport, there were attendants managing the taxi lines and helping direct passengers. That level of organization makes such a difference, especially if you're unfamiliar with the airport or arriving after a long flight. Everyone was pretty nice here and the airport was really clean--even the restroom. There wasn't a long line for the ladies room like most other airports, or maybe I was just lucky! They have slots inside the airport, and yes you can win money on them. I played $20 before boarding my flight and I won $76--so try your luck.

Clean, modern, and way less chaotic than you'd expect after a long flight. Security and baggage claim are pretty smooth, and the layout is easy to navigate, which you definitely appreciate after landing. There are plenty of food spots, shops, and even lounges if you want to rest.

We walked over to TSA pre check using facial recognition. On the conveyor belt my carry on luggage was scanned and pulled aside for further inspection. Pro tip: I had an ice gel pack that was not frozen. I was asked why I needed it. Once I explained why, the TSA supervisor approved it. She explained it has to be in a frozen state if you're going to do carry on. Once we passed security we took the down escalator to take the tram to the D gate. Several places were open for business at this early hour around 4:15am.including Annie's Pretzels and Starbucks. Plenty of tables and chairs while catching an quick bite before boarding.

The fabulous Jean Airport is really quite small. It is for recreational aircraft only. It has 1…read moreone runway and relies on the pilots flying in and out to do their own checks to make sure no other aircraft is in the way. It really isn't a problem though because the traffic is quite minimal. It is often used as a SEAT base for fire fighting planes. If you go out there when there are SEAT pilots, you can actually go and talk to them and learn about the planes and the program. We were visiting Jean because my dad is a aircraft manager for SEAT. He gave us a tour, as well as several people who had just pulled off of the highway to come check out the planes up close. If you like planes, it is really interesting because the planes are not like anything else out there. My daughter had so much fun looking at the planes up close. There is also a parking lot for privately owned planes on the premises. You can walk up to the planes and look at them up close as well. I don't know much about planes, but they are fun to look at. There is also skydiving company that uses Jean as their jump base. You can go out and watch people skydiving, if you are interested. There is a little park right next to the airport that you can go sit in and watch the planes. Of course if you are really lucky, you can be there and watch planes taking off and landing. Now that is really fun!

They stuffed the bus full so it's an uncomfortable drive to and from the pick up location. Then once you're there it takes forever to get on a helicopter. And these helicopters have seen better days. I asked for a front seat (it's an extra $60), and they put me in the back in the middle- the view is mostly blocked by everything else. For almost $500- a ticket I expected better. I'm so mad and disappointed and I still have another 45 minutes to go. Learn the names of the TRIBES WHOSE LAND YOU'RE USING FOR PROFIT. It's extremely disrespectful being classified as a monolith along with the inaccurate information given.
