There was quite a headwind causing overconsumption of gas and we needed a place to fill up. When we landed, there was not a human in sight. We looked around the premises, desperately hoping to see a vending machine or anywhere we could purchase a chilled beverage. We foolishly hadn't brought liquids on our flight due to having small bladders and no restroom on the plane. We did have wide mouth bottles on-hand in case of an emergency, but there was concern that stage freight might make use of those quite challenging. After searching around for several minutes, we discovered a Pilot's Lounge, to our great delight. Inside was an air conditioned room with a sofa and clean bathrooms. It also had chilled beverages and and some savory snacks. It was all available based on the honor system, so we put some dollar bills in the box and also sent a small Venmo to the proprietor. We were able to rest from our labors whilst eating some chips and drinking some chilled diet beverages. I would like to offer one opportunity for improvement. The only snacks were chips, which were quite unhealthy. Perhaps some protein bars or granola bars might be a nice option in the future. A pack of string cheese would also be nice.

I've upgraded my rating to a 5 due to the responsive staff. You can see my initial frustration below. --------- They are nice and the rates are great. But the guest WiFi is horrible and for me, that's important. It works in the lodge but not in the RV sites. Yes, it connects to the router....but not to the internet. Wish it were better because I'd love to give them a better rating. They've been pretty friendly to me and both individuals I've run into are hard working, friendly, and want to help out the customers. I'll gladly tip them. But I need my internet. I'm running out of data on my phone plan (haha). Why do RV parks have such lame WiFi?

Speaking of RV Park or resort as they call it is an absolute joke to put it simply. I know they are…read morenew in the RV Park business but there is absolutely no excuse for being rude and inconsiderate on part of the management. We are part of a RV club that's been around for the last 30 years and have been around many RV cams with monthly outings. We never had experienced anything like this before. Our members are older couples ranging in ages 62 to 92 and this was our first time here excited to have found this new place where we can enjoy as a group as we have at many other camping trips. Not at this place! We were given conflicting information and when trying to follow the instructions given we were rudely interrupted and thrown out of the back area of the building where we were previously told by the same manager to assemble in the first place. After we had our meet and greet and started to have our "finger foods" dinner outside in the back of the building (restaurant) where we were told we can assemble the manager comes out and as rudely as she can be ordered us off the area and back to our RV spaces where (by their rules) we couldn't be assembled as a group without management permission. So we had four people with their walkers and trying to carry their food at the same time having to leave the area "right now" as manager yells out to them twice very impatiently as if they were bunch of young hooligans disturbing the peace. These are the older folks in their eighties who have paid high price for these camp sites and didn't deserved to be treated this way. The prices they are charging are outrageous because this really is not a resort as they claim because they have no amenities it's a small golf course with a small restaurant, period now wan to be RV resort. They may get there some day but only with different people who are in charge because the current one is not going to cut it. Good luck to them. As far as we are concerned our group will never be returning here. By the way, when my wife told this to the manager her reply was "well good ".

I am very sorry I moved my 82 year old parent into this place. I am going to research exactly who I can complain to because I think the state needs to look at this as if this is an abusive environment to seniors that have no other options. These people pay to purchase these homes and then are under scrutiny by this horrible lady who uses intimidation and basically screaming at them to scare them. It really is very concerning because there are so many of them that are literally afraid of her.

We recently stayed at Desert Color in St. George, Utah, and overall had a great experience. The…read morehome was beautiful, clean, spacious, and had everything our family needed for our stay. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds, which made the trip even more fun for them. The lagoon is stunning and definitely one of the highlights of the community. The only downside for us was that the water was extremely cold. If you're someone who gets sick easily from going between hot weather and cold water, it's something to keep in mind. One thing that could be improved was the bedding. We weren't sure if the sheets had been changed before our arrival because we were itchy throughout our first night. We also really enjoyed the community pool at the end of our stay. Just a heads up: make sure everyone has their wristband, as they do check before allowing guests to enter. Overall, despite a couple of minor issues, we had a wonderful family getaway and would definitely come back.

On 3/6/26 my elderly uncle was in town from Pahrump, NV for a celebration of life. He attempted to…read morerent a room and was turned away by the front desk because they said they don't rent to locals. The employee stated in the past they have damaged the rooms and that is the new owner's policy. He has stayed at this motel several times in the past without any issues. They didn't ask for ID and just turned him away. In our eyes him living in Pahrump, NV doesn't make him a "local". The business needs to revisit their policy and educate their staff on how to screen guests.

For $60 a night, this place meets expectations. It's one of only three hotels close to Valley of…read moreFire. The other two are in Moapa and Overton. Pros: It's close to Valley of Fire, inexpensive, next to a gas station, restaurant, and bar. Rooms were big, clean-ish (get to that later), and quiet. Everything worked. There was a mini fridge. It's run by employees at the 24/7 gas station so check-in is always available. Cons: This place is cheap and out of the way. It's clean, but definitely beat up. You just know these rooms have seen some things. There does appear to be permanent/long term residents but we weren't bothered by it. The day and night staff seem to have a hard time communicating to each other. This isn't my first rodeo with cheap hotels, so I tempered my expectations. When a place doesn't have a reservation system, ALWAYS have a back-up plan (even if that means sleeping in your car). I called a week prior to make a reservation. Name, phone number, dates is all they asked. Needed a late check-in (1am) since flight would get us in late. No problem. Of course our flight was delayed by 2.5 hours. I called ahead and was told no problem. The room would be waiting. Arrived to the motel at 3:30am. Went to the gas station to check in. I was given a puzzled look by the employee and then told "we don't have any rooms". I explained that I called, she took out the reservation book and I pointed out the room number, dates, and my initials. Some employee didn't bother looking at the book and just gave my room away earlier in the night. Of course I'm standing there thinking my wife and I will be sleeping in the car for the night. Then she asks another employee about a room without a key. They have physical keys and haven't been renting rooms that keys have been lost for. They gave us the room without a key. Not a huge deal, but it did require us to check-in with the employees each time we needed to get back into the room. We didn't leave any valuables in our room since there it's possible someone had the missing key. We spent our entire days out, so not too inconvenient. Although each time I asked to be let into the room, I was given a look of bewilderment by employees until I explained the circumstances each time. They really don't have decent communication skills between shifts or each other. Room was worn down, but fine. Again, this was $60. The door had clearly been kicked in at some point and repaired not too well. There was a small smudge of makeup on the sheet. The AC worked, water pressure was good, TV and fridge worked. The staff was pleasant and helpful outside of initially giving my room away. The daytime manager was very nice. I'd stay again if in the area and needing a place to crash.

Trees are young- so no shade due to size. Dog park is all rock and has weeds and thistles growing up. My dogs hated it. They just stood there. They do provide 3 dog stations to dispose waste into along with bags, in the park. No one here to check you in. You just reserve your spot and drive to it. It is a Good Sam's but we didn't know where to add that info when booking. And there is no one here to talk to. Camp host on site- but we never saw them. If you're needing a quick stay or easy over night, it will do. The wind blew every day- so we didn't play pickleball on the single court they have. The putt putt is just a single hole. Didn't use laundry. They need weed maintenance in some of the lots.
