Kitchens and living rooms in each suite (studio, one-bedroom, or two bedroom), well-maintained grounds: two pools, one heated, one with waterfall, hot tub, shuffleboard and tennis courts, nice sitting areas inside or outside the hotel. Each suite is furnished differently by separate owners, but whether a studio, 1- or 2-bedroom, all come with a fully furnished kitchen right down to the dishes/flatware and spatulas, pots & pans, toaster and coffee maker. If traveling with a group, or for extended stays, there's comfortable sitting areas on each floor, a library with fireplace, and a laundry room on 2nd and 3rd floors (bring your own detergent). Best of all, the price is comparable to a common one-room motel room at other motels. You couldn't ask for a better bargain. We very much enjoyed our stay! Will stay again. read more

I love road trips, I love waking up at different cities, I wish someone would pay me just to stay at different hotel everyday:XD I usually stayed at Saint George on the way to UT for it's convenient location and rate. This time, I decided to stay at Mesquite, NV which is about 40 miles south of St. George or about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Hotwire led me here as I like surprise:XD Upon walking in the lobby, my first impression was...is this the retirement home!? the interior has that old fashioned style, wide hallway with tiles instead carpet on the first floor, a library...etc I got suite #210, which is exactly like a one bedroom apartment with full sized kitchen, dining table, living room, bed room, walking in closet and a full sized bath. It's spacious! I assume this property was designed for assistant living and later changed to a hotel. It's freaking hot in Mesquite, NV even after the sun goes down. The air was still hot like inside the oven. The ac worked really well and of course this place is very quiet. The next morning, after checking out, I was on the way heading home. While pulling onto the 15 freeway I all the sudden remembered I left my charging cable in the room! Drove back from the next freeway exit, I told the front desk lady and she immediately made me a key to go up to the room to retrieve my cable. When I got there, the housekeeper was already outside and handed me my cable. If you are not looking for anything fancy, modern and elaborate, this is a good place! For clean, classic and awesome rate, I can see myself coming back for another good night sleep:) P.s there's no charging port on the bedside table, I had to unplug the alarm clock and that's how I forgot my cable :XD read more

I have family in Saint George and Mesquite so I've stayed here about 10 times over the last two years including over the thanksgiving holiday. I keep coming back because all things considered, it's a great value and I really appreciate that every room is non-smoking. I've stayed at all of the casino hotels in the area and even in a non-smoking room, I can still smell the smoke. Both my son and myself have asthma so we try to avoid triggers like the smell of smoke as much as we can! Things to note when you stay here: Free laundry room! (You need to provide your own detergent/dryer sheets) Two large pools and a large jacuzzi open until 10pm which is a huge plus! Free wifi Free Gym Attached restaurant (however currently reservations are required). Walking distance to virgin river and eureka casinos. Nice hilltop location with beautiful views! The extremely kind, generous people at highland estates restored our faith in good humans. Our car broke down mid road trip and left us stranded and stressed with newborn twins. Highland estates pulled strings to get us a room for a few hours to rest and feed our babies and get our car fixed. Nice Place! This resort is a great place to stay if your looking for accommodations in Mesquite. I stayed here while coming back from a road trip with family and I had a great experience! The room was nicely maintained and all the kitchen utensils are given. Just note to yourself that this is not a grand kitchen, it's a smaller kitchen. We went to the the pool and it is very clean during COVID. I love the unique design of the waterfall in the pool. They also have a tennis court and gym and the nice lady in the lobby provided tennis balls. One thing I didn't like was the carpet isn't well maintained. We dearly love this Resort. It's more like renting a timeshare. It has a restaurant on property when it is open oh, it has two swimming pools and a Jacuzzi it happened to be closed due to repairs when we were there this weekend, it has a exercise room, tennis courts. The grounds are beautiful the rooms are extremely clean. They have kitchens which are stocked with the bare minimum but that's fine. There is no Casino which is also very nice. read more

Exceptional value for the rate we paid. Room was clean, spacious and well-appointed...though not luxurious or fancy in any way. Full kitchen and regular-size coffeemaker (not those shitty little ones they usually put in hotels). Everything was clean and neat. This is not in a casino, and there aren't too many amenities onsite. There is a restaurant, but it feels kinda cruise-shippy and should only be used as a last resort. Very nice, very classy. We had a work retreat this week at the Highland Estates Resort. We spent approximately 24 hours total at the resort, but got to get a good taste of what it has to offer. First impression - the grounds are very well kept, the staff is very nice, and the place is impeccable. The Highland Estates Resorts is a timeshare, but you can also rent out rooms - like a hotel. I stayed in a two bedroom suite with a sofa sleeper. The cost for these rooms - $89 during the week. That is for 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a full (yet small) kitchen (minus a dishwasher). The suites are spacious, have 2 flat screen TVs, a small table and at least one sitting chair. The Resort also offers shuffleboard, tennis courts, fitness center, business center and a really nice swimming pool. The location is great as it sits atop a hill and overlooks most of Mesquite. We also used the conference room which was pretty reasonable at $80 a day and would fit about 25 people comfortably, but more if it was auditorium seating. The Resort is also very accessible. There is a very large elevator that can accommodate a wheel chair, and all the doors are wide. We were on the 2nd floor and had a shower with a very small lip (maybe 3 inches off the ground) and had a seat and multiple supports as well as an adjustable shower head. There is an on-site restaurant but it was closed for remodeling. Overall, a very nice place to stay, and if I ever go to Mesquite again, this would be a great place to be, especially if you don't want to be around the casino environment. read more

I stayed here while attending the Presidents Cup hosted by Mesquite and a Utah Youth Soccer Association. This place was great, very accommodating, and the staff go out of their way to help in any way possible. It's walking distance from Eureka Casino and hotel (and IMO way better than Eureka's accommodations). If you plan to stay here make sure you stock the kitchenette with your favorite food items, as there is really nothing as far as food goes. They do have a restaurant attached, but it's overpriced, not at all appetizing and not worth attending! The rooms at the Highland Estates are privately owned, and furnished, so every room is decorated differently. However the hotel staff manage the upkeep, cleaning services, and all grounds operations. The pool is immaculate, and the hot tub is roomy, and cozy. You will love this place. read more

Considering the price (we paid 70/night) this is very good. The down side is that it was built as an assisted living facility so everything is accessible and has the feel of a hospital. Kinda creepy. The studio we're staying in is very clean, spacious, nice kitchen and bathroom, honestly feels like home. What a great place to relax after our travels to Zion national park. We LOVE this place. We have stayed here on 2 holiday weekends (Easter and Memorial day 2012) and both times they were at least $80 cheaper then Virgin River and all the other places in town. The rooms feel like home away from home. We have stayed in the studio and one room apartments before. Both are super huge. The closet in the bedroom is big enough for blow up bed! The rooms are big, like a little apartment, with kitchen, family room, bedroom and bathroom. There is a couch/bed which isn't that comfortable, but the bedroom has a decent bed. Not the best sleep of your life, but it does the job. The blanket for the couch/bed is not soft at all, and if I stay here again, I would bring my own. read more

This place is an oasis in the desert! Well, it's not "The Oasis" in Mesquite - that's a closed casino/hotel, but this is one classy place to find in a tiny town. Here's why: Despite looking like a fairly nice Hampton or HoJo from the outside, it's perched on a hill overlooking town and a just a bit, but not too much, removed from "the action" in Mesquite. When we arrived, our reservation was handled flawlessly by "Paola" - a delight! - and our two assist dogs welcomed gladly. "Suites" here are akin to the timeshares that are also a part of the Resort, but there was zero sales pressure. But for the first time, we actually considered asking about one; a very elegant library (with good books, too), an actual quiet lobby area, sitting areas along the halls, and a very VERY nice Italian restaurant integrally located were only a part of the charm. A courtyard where families even had an Easter Egg Hunt, barbecue area, two pools AND a hottub/spa, an exercise room with good equipment and - get THIS! - covered parking in garages. Staff were friendly and unobstrusive, always helpful, and the room was truly delightful, with good furniture, nicely designed, with no shabbiness, with a full kitchen and dishes/pans/utensils. The biggest drawback was the somewhat out-of-place "commercial" toilet paper dispenser, but that was minor. Mesquite is a delightful small town, as well, with 3 casinos, one-of-each-kind-of-stores (including a huge Walmart and the biggest damn grocery, Smith's, I've ever seen!), and it's the gateway to a huge variety of outdoor recreation, from golf (they have a zillion courses in town) to the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, which we adored. Do it. And tell them the "Jeep Dogs" told you to! read more

Simply the BEST place to stay in Mesquite. IMMACULATE. All rooms come with a small kitchen and full refrigerator (for all your cooler goods while traveling on I-15). Great pool and free Wi-Fi. Our room was $49 on a Friday night, and booked at the last minute! I wrote a letter to the owner saying what a great place it was. I am not sure how they keep the rooms so CLEAN at such a low price. We will always stay here while traveling through Mesquite. read more

Highly recommend this hotel---as others have noted, it is immaculate: rooms, common areas, outside amenities, all extremely well-maintained. The kitchen had a full complement of dishes, utensils, and equipment, plus complimentary coffee packs every day. There is also free coffee in the lobby every morning. We did expect dining on the premises and were disappointed that their restaurant was closed till September. Still was a great experience for the money. The bed had a huge dip in the mattress, the main pool and hot tub were closed, the so-called kitchen was so small that you could barely make a sandwich let alone cook a real meal. Used to be an old age home. I could tell just by walking through the lobby with wide hallways with handrails. The rooms are comfortable, but very outdated. The rooms are also geriatric friendly with handrails in the showers and wide open spaces to maneuver a wheelchair around. Waterfall swimming pool (cooler water), then there is a warmer pool then a hot tub (wow 3 temperate ranges to satisfy all types)! We extended from 1 night to 2 nights to 3 nights since we liked it so much and it was so cozy and peaceful (no noise). Also, FREE laundry! Great customer service!
