Working with Lucas and the Five Star Vacation Home Rentals team has been an absolute game-changer…read morefor my short-term rental property. From day one, their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for both the property and guest experience have blown me away. Lucas went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly--from onboarding and setup to marketing, guest communication, and day-to-day operations. I've never felt more confident knowing my property is in such capable hands. They've consistently delivered five-star experiences for guests, and it shows in the glowing reviews and increased bookings. If you're looking for someone who treats your home like their own and operates with the highest level of integrity and excellence, look no further than Lucas and Five Star. Highly recommend!

He called us the other day and said that somehow a wedding booked through VRBO had been automatically canceled and was booked for the same day. Next, he told us that we could make whatever decision we wanted because it was our booking confirmed through Airbnb. He also offered to get us somewhere similar at half the price but sent two Airbnbs that we didn't like and called it a day. Later that evening he said he was going to cancel our booking because the wedding already had "several VRBOs booked nearby, 12 caterers and 60 guests with a good chunk coming internationally."

The hotel grounds and our room were clean and well-maintained, and by the end of the trip, we were already talking about coming back. We only stayed three nights, but all of us wished we could have stayed longer. There is so much to do that it's difficult to fit everything into a short visit. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, with plenty of space to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Our family especially enjoyed the playground, visiting the animals, riding the bicycles, and spending time at the pool. The nightly s'mores were a huge hit and created some great family memories. There are also extensive walking areas and a variety of activities available, including skeet and trap shooting, which add to the resort's unique appeal. The biggest disappointment of our stay was the food. While it was perfectly acceptable, it felt more comparable to chain restaurants like Applebee's or Chili's than to what you might expect at a luxury resort. Unfortunately, the prices were significantly higher. Given the resort's remote location, dining alternatives require leaving the property, which means many guests end up paying the premium prices out of convenience. On the other hand, the hotel bar was excellent. The craft cocktails were well-made, and the local craft beer selection was impressive. The drinks were expensive, but the quality justified the price more than the restaurant food did. Overall, this is a beautiful resort with excellent amenities, friendly staff, and countless activities for families. It is also one of the most expensive resorts in Texas, so it's worth budgeting accordingly. Despite our concerns about the food pricing, we absolutely loved our stay and hope to return again someday.

We only stayed 3 nights, we all wished it could've been longer. The grounds were well kept. We enjoyed the playground, animals, the bicycles and the pool. The s'mores at night were so much fun. There was a large wedding during our stay; but it wasn't even a bother the grounds are so large. The breakfast buffet was lovely, such a great selection. My 6 yo was in heaven with the fresh fruit! Dinner, not as thrilling. We went to Mavericks. The staff were ok, not nearly as engaging as breakfast. The food while really good was really overpriced. Being that far out of town they can really gauge you. Because unless you plan to leave, you'll pay it. We loved our stay and hope to come back again!
