Cindy was my nail tech last Friday morning - gel manicure (with sparkles added to two nails), regular pedicure. Prices are VERY reasonable/competitive. Cindy was awesome! 1) I love when my tech speaks English, because my foreign languages skills suck and communication is important to me. 2) This salon is clean and tidy. 3) Cindy is experienced, helpful (mended a broken nail) and is a real sweetie (even when her mum is being a grump a her, lol!) and her attention to detail left me with a perfect manicure and pedicure! No paint or gel spots left on my skin (I hate when that happens!), smooth feet, beautiful nails - and I wanted mine pretty short too which is a challenge for painting. When I sat down, as a walk in, too, they put a lotion glove on, so my hands were super moisturized. They also gave you a small hand massage and hot towel treatment! Came here because of their late hours advertised. Immediately upon walking in was struck by the calm, chill atmosphere and the kind demeanor of the young woman at the front desk. Even though my two friends and I didn't have an appointment they still took us without a complaint or a bad vibe. The young woman who did my nails was SO pleasant and so personable. She did a phenomenal job on my mani. The other nail tech (who did my friend's nails) didn't rush, didn't cut corners, and only moved on to the next step of the manicure when she felt it was acceptable. At no point did I feel rushed or like they were rushing even though we ended up being here after they technically closed for the day. I am super impressed and will be coming back! read more

Fashion Nails is bizarre and I will never go back. I ended up here last month in my search for an inexpensive mani/pedi - their website advertises a $28 cash-only mani/pedi combo. I indeed got the discounted price, but it was not at all worth it. I made an appointment and showed up on time. When I walked in, there were no other customers, yet the 3 employees sitting around ignored me. I had to walk up to one of them and ask for a mani/pedi. During my decent pedicure with one of the women, the male employee awkwardly came to my chair and started filing my nails very hurriedly while standing next to me, as if he had all these other customers to tend to, yet I was still the only customer in there. Then, at the manicure table, the third employee painted my nails as fast as she could. After my nails dried, I stood up and was ignored yet again. I had to ask twice to pay. Do not waste your time even making an appointment here. My friend and I had an appointment for 2:45 and we waited an entire hour before they started on my friend. At 4:00 they still hadn't started on me so I didn't even get my nails done because we had to be somewhere for 4:30. The older lady thinks she's funny and slick as she tried to convince us to tell our work we were stuck in traffic because of her faulty mistake of overbooking and having us sit there for over an hour. Horrible business and owner!!!!! Bad customer service skills. I used to frequent this nail shop. I never have cash, so I always use my debit card. The owner supposedly had an issue with her credit card machine and it charged my card WITHOUT ME BEING THERE AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT... basically an unauthorized charged. When i bought it to the owner's attention, she refused to refund me my money. I had to call the police because she refused to give my my refund. She reported that the machine was storing payments from April of 2021 until September 2022.. and she was not aware until now. So everyone that visited this business in that time frame got charged. How can your machine be down for over a year and you NOT notice it? How can you charge someone's card without receiving a service and without their consent?!?!!?? Each time i visited this nail salon, I was charged and my account was debited. I showed her the proof of that and she still REFUSED to refund me my money. Its a shame I had to call the POLICE, but I had to do what needed to be done. STAY AWAY from this place. She is a LIAR and SCAMMER. read more

I discovered this little place a few months ago on my way home from work. I have now been a handful of times, and I have nothing but good things to say about it - it is hardly ever busy (I have never seen more than one other patron in the place), the technicians take their time and do a very thorough job, it is IMMACULATE, and it is cheap: right now they are running a mani/pedi special for $20!!! This place is weird. I bought a Groupon or LivingSocial deal, and it ended up being the same price as they give people who walk in off the street. Not cool. While talking in another language is completely a right, the way they did it was really rude. It was just like whispering or talking gibberish because I knew they could speak English, and they chose to talk to each other and not bother to talk to me at all even though I was the only customer. I always come here for eyebrow waxing. She does a great job at it. As far as nails go, I've only had them done maybe a handful of times because I work in Healthcare and gel nails never last past 3 days no matter who does them, especially when I have to wash my hands so much. Overall, they can be a little slow to get to you and I don't even think an appointment would change that. I'm willing to wait a little but for eyebrows but that's about it. read more

I was looking for a Nail Saloon to take my girl friend too and was recommended to go to Fashion Nail on Causeway Blvd in Metairie. She was extremely happy and told me this is her new place to go for her nails. The girl's name was Cindy and she did a FANTASTIC JOB on my friends nails. My friend gets her nails done once a week. She is so very happy with Cindy and her work practices that she is going to ask for Cindy every time she goes there and also tell her friends and family to go there and ask for Cindy. Now she asks me to call first to make sure Cindy is working. According to my friend she is the best . My girl friend brought me here a few months back and the experience was miserable to say the least. As someone who gets their nails done every 2weeks, I had to go back the same day. The older lady had worked on my hands with the owner sitting next to us working on my friends hands. I must have been cut and burned more than 8 times with the nail drill & filer. Each time I pulled my hands away in pain, wincing. This lady should not be working on anyone's hands at all. This was the first time I chose French gel on top of an acrylic overlay refill. It took over an hour and a half for my nails to be finished. I had discussed what time I had to be out of the there for a work meeting upon arrival, and I ended up being 10-15mins late for it anyway. I looked at my nails before I left explaining that the white was uneven and the acrylic had dips in it in my nail bed, they just were horribly crafted from the start. I said I would be back after my meeting because the owner apologized and asked to fix them for me for free, but still asked me to pay $18 before I left anyway. Why am I paying 18$?! The ONLY reason I paid it without just walking out is because my friend was still there as I was leaving and I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable while finishing hers. I was cut and burned the entire time while the owner kept allowing it to continue. They weren't done properly. Anyway, so I come back, and I end up waiting 30minutes before the owner can even start on my nails. She apologizes the entire time as I'm looking at the same lady work on pedicures. Finally my nails are finished and they look so much better! 2days later my thumb chips badly, I call and go back & she fixes it but seems aggravated about doing it. I have no idea why she( the owner ) would be aggravated, because here I was giving her yet another chance to redeem herself and prove she was a great business owner and could take care of her customers. But no. Again this is gel, it should not be chipping in 2days. Two days after that visit they chip again, I call in and speak with the daughter of the owner and recant my encounters and she apologizes and asks me to come in that she would repair the chips for free, and I come in and she was very pleasant. Three days later they chipped again. Gel. Never going back. I ended up wasting over 4hours & 3 different days of my time at this salon for one shotty manicure. Epic nightmare. No wonder they barely had anyone there my three visits. I will never be back. I could've became a regular, every 2-week customer as I was looking for a regular nail salon since my salon of 6 years was closed and sold to different owners in Baton Rouge. read more

I bought a clear channel coupon for half price, when I went to use it ($20) they said I only paid $10 so it would be more??? If you get just a pedicure it is good. I have bought many of these for different businesses and it is worth what it states on the coupon..there is no stipulation on the site when bought or on the coupon..I am going to try and get my money back that I paid for the ones I have left and make sure I tell everyone not to go..they did a terrible job this last time, I had a manicure and the polish started coming off the next day.. read more

Today was my first thing at fashion nails and I had my niece in town for the weekend and she wanted her nails, feet and brows done. Once we get there we are both seated where a tech begins on my nice pedicure. Another tech was finishing up so I figured she would start on me next, NOT. Another person came in to get her nails done and that tech started on her as if I haven't been waiting. When asked why was she startes with a customer who came in after me. I was told I would have to wait for my niece feet to get done before I was service. Like what I was here before this lady but was told she's a regular so she's service first, great way to build your clientele. I will never return.amd not only did I not get anything done. My niece only got her pedicure basic, no nails or her brows and lady they chose to service before me only got a refill, money lose and I'll be sure to let friends and family know not to support this shop at all.
