I first met with Jim a couple of weeks before I decided to go with them. I worked with his son Nick. Both were professional. I paid the deposit to order the part. They charge 3% per credit card transaction. 1 of 2 parts came in but was not informed til I called back. Nick apologized and we scheduled a date to drop off car and said it would be ready in a day, more like 2 but I didn't want to rush them and have to redo this project. (Watch out... those fire hydrants come out of nowhere ) 11k worth of damage. These guys took the time to explain everything to me, they worked with insurance, they started ordering parts before insurance approved it and once SF gave the ok, these guys were ready to work on it. They kept in touch with me every step of the way and they were so very nice. They were way ahead of schedule, washed and waxed my car and on the day it was ready for pick up, I had a hard time getting out to them so they dropped the car off AT MY HOUSE a half hour away, on a SATURDAY. (Who does that?!) They are family owned and it's very apparent that they actually CARE. They did amazing work. Thank you guys, Kevin, so very much. I appreciate everything, more than you will ever know. I hope I don't have to use you again, but if a fire hydrant even thinks about jumping out in front of my car again, I will be calling you.

To be fair, the work they did seems solid…read more My tesla was rear ended in August of 2022. They billed just over 21,000 for the repair. They were well compensated by the persons insurance that hit me. DanRich Carstar customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with in any business I ever patronized. My car was dropped late August. This repair shop was chosen because they boasted that they were a preferred Tesla repair facility, which I was told meant they would have priority access to parts. Tesla does have an issue with parts, from my research. My car was finally put into structural repair on Nov 3. They have an app to update their progress and I was given weekly updates. I was told that my car would be ready for pick up on December 23. I was specifically told that any delays in pick up would be communicated by a phone call. My area was forecasted for a winter storm on December 22. I called to confirm pickup on December 20 & 21 and 22. No return call was given. I showed up to pick up my car on the 23; the facility was closed. They had a sign on the door. They did not return my calls or message. They did not change their voice message to alert anyone of the closure. I called the following week, assuming that missing a few days because of the storm, my car would be ready the following week. They did not send me a message until January 6, saying at that point my car was entering reassembly. They updated my pickup date to January 12. I picked up my car after hours on the 12th. When I got in the car, I noticed that the steering wheel leather was peeled off. I left the car and returned the next day. After a wait, I was addressed by Rich, of DanRich. He had no explanation of why my wheel had the leather peeled off. After a brief discussion, I was assured that a new wheel would be ordered and installed at the facility expense. I called the following week, as I was told it would take a week to receive the steering wheel. I followed up with Jordyn at customer service on January 19 and was assured I would hear back by the 20th. I gave her to the 27th to call me back, they never did. I was given excuses of how they didn't hear back from anyone at Tesla, that the issues in getting parts was far out of their control and that the peeling on the steering wheel was probably from my oily hands. It's a shame that a business such as this does everything in their power to not take responsibility for the easiest thing they can control....how their customer sees them. All they needed to do was tell the truth, instead they lied, sidestepped responsibility and pointed fingers at anyone and everyone. I won't use them again, and If this review can help one person to choose any other repair facility, then it accomplished its goal. Not that it matters if they can bill 20K to every car they bring in.

We finally went in person to speak with the manager, and his attitude was unbelievable. His response was, "You have a rental, so what's the problem?" We're on our THIRD rental because this has dragged on for so long. He also said our car being a German car "isn't my problem" and then complained that they're "losing money on me because they're paying for my rental car." How is that an appropriate thing to say to a customer whose car YOU have had for over three months? Then he admitted he's "too busy" to keep track of and call his customers. Three+ months of excuses, almost no communication, and an arrogant manager who acts like the CUSTOMER is the problem for wanting answers and their car back. If management is "too busy" to keep track of customers and doesn't consider a vehicle sitting in their shop for months to be their problem, that tells you everything you need to know. Completely unprofessional. Avoid this place.

I spoke to the receptionist and she was very professional and accomodating. I was then introduced to Juan Rodriguez an estimator. I have dealt with the public all my life and I must say Juan was just fantastic to work with.
