So I found myself exactly where you are not so long ago, and as most of us know finding reliable contractors in South Florida is like rolling the dice. I did quite a bit of homework and ultimately decided on working with ISAACS roofing. You may be saying, why? Good question.... Well, during my research I found that the majority of people who have used them had a great experience. They have also been working in the South Florida area for many years and have done quite a bit of work in my area which helps as they are familiar with the ins and outs of the local building departments. Additionally, when they came out to the house they were on time, prepared and gave me a number of options to redo my flat roof, one of which was not offered by a number of other roofers, which would be a mechanically attached TPO roof, which is ultimately what I chose for my flat roof replacement. While getting the agreement dialed in, communication was excellent and after a few weeks we signed a contract, gave a deposit and we were off to the races. Permitting process was painless and easy as well. Things were a little slow due to the holidays but I was in no rush. Once the permit was issued, scheduling started and that is where they really showed their willingness to work with their customers. I had a few other contractors that needed to get some work done at the same time the roof was being replaced and Stan Saruski the project manager for the roofer handled it with extreme professionalism. I obviously played a big role in planning out the job with Stan but together we decided on a date, got everything lined up and dialed in. Prior to the project start date ( a couple of days prior), Stan's team started staging equipment, dropping off materials and laying the stage for what would end up being a masterclass in roof replacement. The day of the project, an army of ISAACS employees, not subcontractors, showed up at the house at 8 AM and got straight to business. Truthfully, it was absolutely amazing to watch these pros do their thing with no hesitation or confusion. It was a well oiled machine that was in sync and getting it done. Add in my contractors that were also on point knocking out their items as well, and it really was an interesting sight to see. This is where working with real pros and a great project manager makes all the difference in the world. Yes, you are going to possibly pay a little more than the less experienced outfits but when you are spending $22 - $26K on a roof, you really want to go with one of the best and ISAACS Roofing fits the bill in all areas. I really cannot recommend them enough. Everything went as we had discussed and any unanticipated additional items that came up while the work was going on where addressed and we squared up afterwards. So if you are looking to put a new roof on your house or maybe on your commercial property or anything in between, look no further. They explained where the leak was at and what needed to be done to repair it. I was extremely concerned regarding water continuing to get in. Fortunately, they were able to squeeze me in for the repair. The guys showed up in a company vehicle. Very professional. They are licensed and insured. Materials used to repair were high quality materials made in the USA. They took pictures of everything every step of the way so I could see exactly what took place. I live in a two story townhome. I was told they would need to replace tiles if any broke when they removed them. Not one broken tile. All my original tiles were completely intact and sealed back in place after the repairs. Very happy as our exact tiles are obsolete now. Workmanship was incredible!!! I had numerous conversations with both Peter and Abigail with questions and reassurance of the problem being resolved. Very professional and accommodating as well as understanding the stress I was feeling about the situation. I give this company a 5 star plus rating. Highly recommend them. I have already referred them to several neighbors. If you have any roofing issues, I would definitely reach out to this company for support. I told Josh that I had watched almost all of Tim Kanaks videos on You Tube and was he up for the challenge of my questions. Josh laughed and said , "Lets go". He listened to all my questions about reroofing, secondary water barriers, tile differences, firm liability insurance, subcontractors, and permits. He explained everything very well and you could sense this company was for real. We made our roof choices and secondary water barrier and Josh sent me a proposal and contract to review. It was exactly as we discussed , but I suggested some minor changes in the contract terms which he had okayed by the firm and we went forward. Josh kept us apprised of all developments as things were being put in motion especially the timing of the availability of the tiles from the manufacturer. I received a call that the roof was going to be demoed and no fewer than 12 guys showed up along with Supervisor Jamie and they worked their butts off in one day in October to take the old roof off and put down the first layer of paper and replace a few wood panels on the roof , plus clean up around the base of the house so no nails or roofing material was around, Jamie was cleaning fanatic ! Once the roof was passed by our city inspectors on the first try they were back in mass to put down the Polyglass water barrier on the entire roof again in almost one day, amazing work! We waited a couple of weeks for our tiles to arrive and when they did again I got a call the guys were coming to install the tiles and that took a few days to get done. The city inspector told me the roof was done exceptionally well and approved it without any objections. The post cleanup was just as good and several neighbors asked who did the work and how great the roof looked. Perkins Roofing delivered a great product and working with Josh and Jamie was a learning experience. I had an excellent experience with both Luis and the entire Canopy team. Luis took the time to meet with me in person and make sure I saw all of the tile colors and samples before making my decision. He was communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, the end result was perfect, and the price was very reasonable. Recently, I had a leak coming from an area under a flat roof that Canopy had not installed. I contacted the roofer who had done that portion of the roof to help diagnose and fix the issue, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience (which I reviewed separately). I immediately called Luis to see if he could offer any advice or point me in the right direction. Luis answered the phone right away and, almost THREE years later, remembered me and addressed me by name. Even though this wasn't a part of the roof Canopy had installed--and they don't even do TPO flat roofs--Luis immediately offered to come to my house and help me figure out what was going on. He spent over an hour with me, listening carefully to what had happened, getting up on the roof to investigate, and helping me systematically test different areas with a hose to try to identify the source of the leak. After we thoroughly investigated the issue, he even offered to help me get a quote for the repair through a partner contractor who specializes in flat roofs. I am incredibly grateful not only for the quality of Canopy's work, but for the exceptional and genuinely personal customer service. The fact that Luis was willing to spend so much time helping me with an issue that wasn't even related to the roof Canopy installed says everything about the kind of company they are. Their professionalism was present during the entire process. From discussing the project with Juan to setting up the process with July Cruz, who was always on target and in communication with me, was top notch. The crew worked an entire day until my new flat roof was completed. Everything was cleaned immediately and no mess was left. The crew is friendly and the foreman gave me feedback from time to time. The next day, Mauricio and a couple of workers waited about 6 or 7 hours for the inspector to arrive and sign off. I truly recommend Canopy. All paperwork was provided to me timely.
