So when we were driving past this place in Milton, we gave it a shot. They are lovely and will load firewood into your car for you. I went on my way home while wearing a suit, heels and formal coat, and the gentleman helping us out would not let me touch a log. Their wood burns very nicely and is the perfect size. There are very few pops and the wood is high quality. We recently relocated to the Boston area, and had purchased wood from another source in NY. This wood is far superior to what we had previously ordered and we plan to order it in bulk next year. Bonus points, this quaint store has nice freshly baked bread, flowers and gourmet goods as well as some staples. Only thing I would recommend is adding some Iggy's baguettes. I must try it next time ;) Aside from the milks, they also carry popular beverage brands like Polar Seltzer cans, Oatly! Oatmilk, Welch's juices, Newman's Own, Tropicana, etc. They also sell bread, sandwiches, snacks such as cookies and candy, and fresh flowers that are displayed outside! We worked with Lombardo's to host our 5th annual Fall Formal fundraiser for Dana-Farber. This is a…read more750+ person annual black tie event in Boston. This was our first time working with Lombardo's and we were also switching to a new venue for the event (Black Falcon Cruise Terminal in the Seaport). David, Joanne, and Francesca asked if they could join a meeting with the whole fundraiser committee so that they could get a better feel for exactly what we wanted and how to deliver it. They also requested a to join a site video and helped consult us on the floor plan of the event. On the day of the event the core Lombardo's team showed up at 10am to start helping us set up for our 8:30pm event. Once the rest of the staff arrived, David huddled his whole team together to go over the game plan for the night and to set expectations with the staff, reminding them of things such as no cell phones! Historically, food had never been a big part of the event but that certainty changed this year. We received incredible reviews from the attendees of the event and will definitely be working with Lombardo's again next year!
