The service was exceptional (in Lake Forest ask for Enrique, he is knowledgeable, helpful & pleasant without being pushy). And the payment plan is as good as it gets; theoretically, it is fixed for life, something that I find hard to believe. My wife was also very happy with the service & her new i14.

We explained to the "greeter" (exactly) what we were looking for -- I was hoping to move from my iPhone to a new Samsung Galaxy, and my wife was looking to upgrade/move up to a new model iPhone. We talked to the greeter, he said it was all quite "doable," and then he put us on a 30-45 minute wait list. Eventually, another T-Mobile staffer waved us to the back of the store, where he busted out a small yellow pad and pen, and he quickly ran through a list of fees, charges, etc., that we'd have to contend with (i.e.: fork over cash for...on the spot)...all things we weren't told of before we came down to the store, or when we met our first contact there who was showing us the phones. In short, it felt like we were being "run" by a used car salesman. I remember those days when you'd go into a dealership, shake hands with a salesman, and think you were going to be lucky if you escaped (later) with that hand intact. This was not a customer-friendly operation. The numbers were thrown at us in a rapid fire manner...when the sales guy finished throwing all the fees and balance-due figures at us, I was surprised he didn't try to charge us for undercoating and floor mats. To make matters worse, there was a Harman Kardon speaker about 2-3 feet from my head playing tribal guarachero (trival) that was blasting out at a decibel level just under that of a jet engine. I asked the staffer if he could turn it down a little so that we could have a conversation, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sorry...yeah, it's loud." He couldn't be bothered to ask someone else to turn it down, try to quiet it, or even unplug the device. We ended up leaving -- no purchases, trades or upgrades. The next time we look for/buy new phones, it won't be at this location.
