I'm already a fan of this place but have to give an extra Shout Out because of what happened today: Earlier this week, I had "misplaced" one of my favorite rings. I was hoping it was just going to magically reappear somewhere around my house but as the week went on, I was slowing excepting it was lost in neverland... Today, I went to pick up my clothes and the very nice man said they found something in my pocket and pulled out my RING. OMG can it be true!!?? In fact, the ensemble that I got married in was created at their site using an outfit that needed to be taken apart and redesigned; it is quite lovely and is a fabulous outfit that I can now wear to fancy occasions. They have even found cash in pockets and have called to return it to me! That is an honest business, and they deserve community support! I have been a customer of Metro Cleaners for 10 years now. They help with all dry cleaning, laundry and alterations needs (clothing, wedding dresses, bedding, drapery, table linens and all) with exceptional customer service. I actually like going to drop off and pick up because it is like visiting an old friend. Despite my strange requests or last minute rushes, they always accomodate and somehow manage to remove stains and repair tears in fabric I previously thought was a lost cause. Additionally and equally important, they have never lost anything of ours and their prices are reasonable. The owner is a kind man. An example of his kindness is a couple of years ago I brought in a handbag that was my (deceased) mother's bag that had a few stains. He handled it with such care and added a bonus. When I picked it up, he let me know he knew it was special to me. This was so heartwarming and generous. I know being a small business owner must be hard - electric bills and labor costs but they always treat their customers right. I see that he also has had a longterm employee and she too, is a warm and thoughtful person. They have earned my trust and I will keep returning for their high quality drycleaning and laundry care and excellent customer service. read more

This is an updated review. On my last review, I mentioned that my outfit has shrunk a bit: upon return, it was explained to me why this had happened, and also that the other dry cleaner has probably used a lower temperature as well. How many businesses will offer you an explanation like that? Very personable and it shows that the owner cares about his business. This time, I went here to get a wedding gown cleaned and preserved. The cost was a little bit less than it would be if you had gone to a major bridal chain to get the same service. And, I was able to pick it up instead of having to have it mailed to me. The gown was cleaned and placed on a dummy, bodice, and put inside an acid free cardboard box for preservation. The box has a window on it so that you can look at the dress without having to unload it. That box is then placed inside another acid, free cardboard box, which closest via Velcro. The entire set is then placed inside another card for box to ensure that nothing gets in. Note that they no longer vacuum packed the dresses. This actually helps to preserve the shape of the dress. I will be coming back here again for more dry cleaning. read more

I was looking for a new dry cleaners close to my job. I found this one because of my dad goes here all the time so I decided to use them. When I dropped off my items, the lady was very nice and she informed me that my items will be done by Saturday. I did not make it to the date to pick them up so I came on Tuesday when I walked in the same lady who helped me last week was helping another customer she did not greet me or say anything to me she just continue sewing the ladies dress as I stood there waiting patiently for at least 10 to 15 minutes and she still said nothing to me. A few moments later a gentleman walked from the back to help me. Apologies for the wait which helped the the situation but As he was helping me other customers walked in and the lady who was sewing the dress immediately greeted the customers and welcome to them in. The difference between the customer who came in after me is I am a young black man and they were old white women but I spent about $50 on all of my items to be dry clean and I feel like they lost what could've been a long time customer to the bad customer service of the lady. I believe you should treat all customers, the same, no matter how much they spend, or whether they are regular customers or not regardless of race or ethnicity by the way the lady who was working behind the counter, was an Asian woman I think if we want the world to change we need to start with ourselves, I will not be going back to this dry cleaners because I did not appreciate that. read more

I recently had one of my husbands suits dry cleaned here at short notice and the lady was accommodating in ensuring it was done in time but I found them to be a little on the pricey side - $27 (if I recall correctly) for one suit (2 piece) and 2 shirts. The job that was done was fair, could it have been better? I love this place! My husband and I come here every week. My husband has ALL of his clothes cleaned here except for his undergarments and they do a great job! We trust them completely! Went here today to try this place and get some clothes cleaned. When I enter the store there was no one in the front so I patiently waited until someone came, prior to that happening. Another customer came in and I asked her if she wanted to go first and she declined and rudely told me to proceed. I then approached and engaged with the person taking close, and she was extremely rude to me and asked me for my number and what I wanted. This is my first time coming to this establishment and I felt very alienated and embarrassed by the rude way that I was treated. I have found that the way some one deals with one thing is likely the way they deal with everything and I wouldn't trust this place with my clothes if they are giving the kind of poor customer service that I experienced today. read more

Quick story: I had an interview scheduled at the last minute for the next day. I couldn't find my (only) suit anywhere, I searched my house and my parents house for hours. Finally, we called Metro Cleaners. They confirmed they had the suit and we had forgotten to pick it up when I moved from foster city (4 months ago!). It was 6:30pm and Metro closes at 6:30pm, so we asked if they could please stay open and let us drive from Millbrae to pick it up. We got there at 7pm, the guy stayed an extra 30 min so that I could pick up this suit we stupidly forgot. When I got there he was extremely pleasant and sympathetic. I got my suit, paid and left. Top notch service. I came in during the morning on a Friday in a rush because I needed 3 dry clean only shirts over the weekend. The owner told me that the shirts won't be ready in time, but given the short notice I completely understood. He offered to just press one of them so I can wear it tonight and I can pick it up same day.
